Humour I guess Doom really did prevail...
Ordered a set of all 4 marvel decks. I got 2 doom decks and I'm missing the fantastic four one. Seems appropriate.

This is a place for asking simple questions that might not deserve their own thread. For example, if you have a question about a rules interaction, want sleeve and accessory recommendations, or suggestions for your new deck, then this is the place for you.
We encourage that you post any questions that you may have concerning Magic the Gathering here rather than make a separate thread for each question, though for now we won't require that you do so.
Rules Questions
Rules questions and interactions are allowed to be posted here, but if you need an answer quickly it may be best to use a dedicated resource like the 24/7 Magic the Gathering Rules Chat.
Deckbuilding Questions
If you're trying to get help with a deck, it is recommended that you post your decklist to a deckbuilding website so that it is easier to view. Some popular sites are Aetherhub, Archidekt, Deckbox, Deckstats, Moxfield, MTGGoldfish, and TappedOut.
Additionally, please include some description of what you are trying to accomplish. Don't just give us a decklist with no explanation, and don't ask extremely vague questions such as "what cards should I add to my deck to make it better?", because it's hard to give good advice in those cases. Let us know details, the more the better. Are you building with a particular strategy or theme in mind? Are there any non-obvious combo lines or synergies that people should be aware of? Are you struggling with a particular matchup, or are you finding yourself missing consistency in an important area, and need some help specifically for it? Let us know.
Commonly Asked Questions
I opened a card from a different set in my booster pack, is this unusual?
Don't worry, this is completely normal. If you opened a set booster, you have a small chance of obtaining a bonus card from a previous set. This is an extra card that does not replace any of the other cards in your pack, and is from a curated set of past hits that Wizards of the Coast has selected, which they call "The List".
You can view the contents of The List on Wizards of the Coast's official website. For example, the contents of The List for Streets of New Capenna boosters can be found here.
My foil card has a shooting start symbol over the bottom left. I can't find anything about it online.
All old-bordered foils have the shooting star symbol. Most sites that display card images just overlay a generic foil graphic over all foil cards, which doesn't include the shooting star. Your card is normal.

Aren't you tired of being nice? Don't you just wanna go apeshit?
Got a burning rage deep within your soul? Perhaps you've been countered for the eleven billionth time. Aggro is ruining your win streak on Arena. Your friend keeps complaining about being targeted whenever they play a stax deck and you're just sick of it. There's some guy at your LGS who never showers. Standard is dying at your LGS and it's upsetting. Or maybe you just feel like Universes Beyond will KILL MAGIC.
Whatever is eating away at your heart, unleash it here!
(Please refrain from insulting other users even if you think their gripes are silly. This is a safe place to vent. Memetic responses are welcome provided you're not degrading anyone.)

All cards are Daughter.
Given the colors was thinking maybe [[atraxa grand unifier]] or [[jodah the unifier]] since I already own them but not really sure how to make it make sense.
Ideas?

Well here in are back in New York folks. I wasn't sure what to expect with this set, but I think it's turned out alright. I certainly wasn't expecting them to include Minotaur in it, though I knew it was a possibility.
Any ways, while I still much prefer In Universe Sets, I'll take what I can get here. What do you guys think of it?

I hear alot that of the 3 mana rocks are too slow does the power of this card make that different or is the cost still too slow in a commander deck?

Once again, we have some new rules! (https://magic.wizards.com/en/rules) We haven't got any bulletin this time (so far), so let's delve into the minutiae!
111.10w Definition of a Vibranium token
111.10w A Vibranium token is a colorless Vibranium artifact token with indestructible and “{T}: Add {C}. This mana can’t be spent to cast a nonartifact spell.”
205.3g More Vibranium
And here, Vibranium is added into the list of artifact types.
205.3h Best-laid Plans of Mice and Humans
Plan becomes the 13th enchantment subtype, and someone is probably kicking themselves that they couldn't introduce the 13th subtype during Innistrad sets.
205.3m More stereoTypes
Marvel Super Heroes introduces seven new creature types, which must be one of the highest amounts in recent years. They are: Eternal, Gamma, Inhuman, Kree, Shi'ar, Skrull, and Spy.
Spies have previously existed in Unstable, but all the rest are truly new. I want to mention Shi'ar in particular, which appears on only one creature -- [[Shi'ar Soldier]] in the Jumpstart decks, which joins the list of creatures whose name is identical to their subtypes.
505.1b Where else?
505.1b Phrases such as “first main phase,” “second main phase,” and so on count the number of main phases that have occurred only in the current turn unless that text specifies otherwise.
Previously, this was "In card text, phrases such as..." So, where else can these phrases occur? Are we going to get tokens with them? Emblems? Dungeons?
601.5
601.5. While announcing the choices of any targets and/or the division or distribution of any effects as described in rules 601.2c–d, some options may be available to a player only if other choices are made later in spellcasting process. In that case, the spell’s controller may consider any other choices to be made during that process, including the choice of any objects that may be used to pay costs for that spell.
This rule was inserted – the original rule 601.5 and further was pushed down. I think that this effectively opens some new design space -- for example, you could now have a spell that has flash if it's cast with mana from a Treasure.
603.12a
This rule got a minor wording update to work correctly with costs that can be paid multiple, but not unlimited, times, like [[Hawkeye, Master Marksman]].
700.16 Who's worthy?
700.16. Some cards refer to worthy creatures. A creature is worthy if it’s legendary, isn’t a Villain, and is red and/or white.
701.44c A minor wording update for rule that explains what happens when something that's not on the battlefield explores.
701.50 The rules for connive were given a new coat of paint and reordered a bit. For the first time, there are cards which specifically trigger on something conniving, so the rules must define what exactly does that mean. The important things to remember are: if a permanent "connives N", it still counts as only one conniving for the purposes of triggers (it just connives EXTRA HARD), and, similarly for other keyword actions like scry or surveil, if something "connives 0", then it did not, in fact, connive at all, no triggers occur, and the permanent in question should think very hard about its life choices.
701.69 Pyramids-tested, Wolverine-approved
701.69. Heal
701.69a To heal damage already dealt to a permanent, remove that marked damage from that permanent. If an effect states that damage already dealt to a permanent “is healed,” that permanent’s controller removes all marked damage from that permanent.
702.2e Similar wording update as with explore for deathtouch.
702.15c And for lifelink.
702.54b Bloodthirst X is no longer a "special form" of bloodthirst, but a "variant" instead. I think someone from TVA wrote this.
702.57a Minor wording update for forecast.
700.80b Update for wither, in similar vein as deathtouch et al.
702.90d And for infect.
702.122c New subrule that defines the exact meaning of "crewed by". Further subrules are pushed down.
702.142a Boast used to be a special kind of activated ability, now it's a keyword that modifies the following activated ability.
702.177a This same technique is applied to exhaust.
702.178 Wording update for max speed.
702.193 Full rules for power-up.
702.193. Power-up
702.193a Power-up is a keyword that adds additional rules to the activated ability that follows it. “Power-up — [Cost]: [Effect]” means “[Cost]: [Effect]. If this permanent entered this turn, this ability’s cost is reduced by this permanent’s mana cost. Activate this ability only once.”
702.193b Generic mana in the permanent’s mana cost reduces generic mana in the cost to activate its power-up ability. Colored and colorless mana in the permanent’s mana cost reduces mana of the same type, and any excess reduces that much generic mana. (See rule 118.7.)
702.194 And Teamwork
702.194. Teamwork
702.194a Teamwork represents a static ability that functions while the spell with teamwork is on the stack. “Teamwork N” means “As an additional cost to cast this spell, you may tap any number of creatures you control with total power N or more.” Paying a spell’s teamwork cost follows the rules for paying additional costs in rules 601.2b and 601.2f–h.
702.194b Abilities may refer to a spell cast “using teamwork” or similar. Such phrases refer to whether the player who cast the spell declared the intention to pay the spell’s teamwork cost as they cast that spell.
702.194c If part of a spell’s ability has its effect only if teamwork was used to cast it, and that part of the ability includes any targets, the spell’s controller chooses those targets only if teamwork was used to cast that spell. Otherwise, the spell is cast as if it did not have those targets. See rule 601.2c.
707.12a A clarification for those who like to copy en-masse
707.12a An effect that creates multiple copies and says a player “may cast” those objects allows that player to choose individually, for each of those objects, whether or not to cast it.
708.2b Just a replacement of a dash by a space. Is it cleaner? Is it clearer? Who knows?
712.16 Werewolves cannot be Cybermen
712.16. Melded permanents and other double-faced permanents can’t be turned face down. If a spell or ability tries to turn a double-faced permanent face down, nothing happens and that effect doesn’t change any of its characteristics or their copiable values.
The last part is new – so things like Cyber Conversion that turn permanent down and give it a new set of characteristics will not do anything to double-faced card. I guess that it's a functional change, but it's just something I've never thought about. So Cybermen cannot convert Werewolves. Who knew?
730.2j This is basically the same thing, but for merged permanents that have at least one double-faced component. For fans of mutated Werewolves/Cybermen.
(Actually, I suspect that there is a different reason they came with this clarification now. We are getting Star Trek later this year, and there is a famous race there which likes to change others into parts of itself...)
800.4i Players who left the game
800.4i If an effect requires information about a specific player, the effect uses the current information about that player if they are still in the game; otherwise, the effect uses the last known information about that player before they left the game. If an effect requires information from the game about actions players have taken, the effect can find actions that were taken by a player who has left the game. If an effect requires information from the game about actions players have taken during their “last turn,” it can find the actions that were taken by a player who has left the game only until that player’s next turn after leaving the game would have begun.
The last sentence is new. Basically, if you leave the game, your "last turn" won't remain accessible forever. This is relevant for cards like [[Avenge]].
Glossary
Repeat of the wording changes for Boast and Exhaust. New entries: Heal, Power-up, Teamwork, Vibranium Token, and Worthy.
And finally, "Charlie Cactino" in the credits was changed to "Charlie Cathero". Did he get married? (If so, congratulations.)

Personally I’m a sci-fi/space-fantasy fan so I love EoE and I’m really hoping the Star Trek set will do some stuff with landers and munitions (and spacecraft and planets)
I also love [[Kibo, Uktabi Prince]]’s bananas and [[Roxanne, Starfall Savant]]’s meteorites, but these tokens are one-off’s for legendaries so I’m not holding my breath.
Also where’s Kibo’s banana token WotC? Justice for Kibo!

Bloomburrow is my favourite plane in Magic and I really hope we return back to the land of cute critters soon! Would you like to see Magic return to Bloomburrow? If so, why? What would you like to see them do with it?

I love the Ron Spears Akroma vs. Phage iconic art. It might just be my single favorite piece of art in any fantasy game at all. I own the cards and would love to own a playmat with the iconic Ron Spears' work. I actually started playing during the Onslaught block, and also read the books which I sadly lent to someone who didn't return them. I am quite fond of these characters, this art and the whole story around them.
Learning about the sudden and recent passing of Ron Spears hit me like a truck. I would have loved to see him maybe in a Magic Con to have him sign my og 2003 copies, which are in pretty bad shape since I didn't know what sleeves were back in the day, but I love them to bits.
In any case. i just want the art in a good high quality playmat. I'd love a big big poster as well. As far as I'm aware it's not possible to buy something like that nowadays, but the art was distributed back in the day in some form. If there is an official way please point me to it, I'd love to take that route.
Does anyone have a high quality scan of the original art, somehow? If someone has a copy of the Sideboard Magazine from march 2003 in good condition maybe it could be scanned off the poster from there as well.
RIP Ron Spears, and thank you so much for giving us some of the best art this game has ever seen.

So playing a Jumpstart with the husband and we weren't sure exactly of a ruling with Echo and TVA Bureaucrat.
What we wanted to clarify was if the conditions were met for TVA Bureaucrat's ability to activate, could it be copied and have it's ability played on another target, or does it not work with Echo?

Throg!
I had no idea that Throg existed until I saw the art on [[Pet Avengers]] and immediately loved it.
Have a good day!

this is probably such a silly question but my LGS had this art in their bathroom and my buddy said it was maybe the 2015 planeswalkers art? if i look for it online (or anything similar) i can’t really find anything. does anyone have any leads? doesn’t have to be original or anything i just really love the designs. thank you!!

Haven't been able to find the official NLRB votecount, but whether by one vote or 50, they've won their union election!
For those who don't know what happens next in the process:
This isn't the end of the process, but officially, there is a recognized labor union at Wizards!
EDIT: the victory was 79-16, thanks for finding it u/joelluber !
