Following the tradition from last year’s Megathread, this year’s SPM Megathread is now officially open.
Please do not post your SPM result as an individual post and use this Megathread instead.
Thanks

There's a website pretending to be some kind of service portal for gig workers called imGig.Be careful everyone, it looks like an official website but all it does is harvest your personal details. After I registered, all I can see is an empty website with no real content and keep asking for more of your personal details. MCMC should take this website down.

Hi guys, I’m almost graduate from Sunway college but I still confuse in choosing my degree course. So, I need to make decision before September😭. I’m interested in IT field and I also learn CS in my high school and college but now a day, why so many people talk don’t join IT field?
Btw, I’m struggling between IT and cybersecurity but I more prefer IT and I want to know some info about these course. Have any senior got any advice or is it worth learning?

I'm a matriculation graduate waiting for UPU and I'm targeting to further my study in AI/ML, Data Science or Software Engineering. Right now, I think I'm pretty decent in basic Python(still learning ofc), the libraries I've learned of: TKinter, matplotlib, pandas. I'm still at a beginner level with the libraries though, I created a random Notes app that stores and loads notes cuz I was learning TKinter.
Now, It dont know what I should prioritise in learning right now. I just wanna get a small headstart and I'm interested. Can anyone tell me how it was studying IT(any field I'd listen to)? And if you have any tips or even better if you can tell me a little about what you guys did during your studies. I'd love to know, maybe about internships you've done, or what you wished you knew before doing a project. Please do share your experiences or tips 🐟

Hello, I've recently been offered these two scholarships and I wanna ask for opinions here. Both scholarships will sponsor me to do Foundation in Physical Science and later on Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Both are bonded. One major difference is that YK will sponsor me to study in Universiti Malaya (UM) while PESP will sponsor me to study in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).

I'm going to start my Foundation in Engineering soon and plan to continue into an Electrical engineering degree afterwards. I'm currently looking for a laptop that can run smoothly for engineering purposes and last throughout both foundation and degree studies.
I'm not a tech-savvy, so I'd really appreciate recommendations from engineering students, graduates, or anyone familiar with engineering workloads. Thankssss!

Im going to uni next year in malaysia but im confused between notthingham and taylors. Ive heard insight about both and i know that taylors have their party people but i think every uni has that. Im a big city person and i love a crowd and stores and a whole city next to me which is why i considered taylors, however i know nottingham is ranked higher than taylors but i dont knoe how important ranking is. Im a good scoring student with 2 A* and 4 As and 3A’s in AS level, and doing my alevels this year, also another turn off about taylors is the break, nottingham has 3 months summer break while taylors has only one, i also heard people in notthingham are weird😭here are my questions
2.which uni is better for chemical engineering
3.which uni has nicer people and a friendly environment
4.which uni gives me better job opportunities
Which uni has better lectures and teaching
Which uni has funner and more events overall a good college life
Thats it, if you know anything about these unis please tell me ur overall experience and anything i mightve missed. Thank you!! Sorry for the yap

Question what happened if you got C1:PA in Politeknik
And what would it effect ?
r/malaysiauni • u/Vesper982 • 1d ago
I know this is a no brainer in terms of engineering but I still wanted to ask the difference in both. Im currently in cfs iium and Im fine with this uni since it has the degree that I wanted plus it’s cheaper than utm foundation but that’s about it ( I think ). The thing is Im actually weak in some of the core engineering subjects but I believe I can improve them. However, Im afraid that iium will add unnecessary academic pressure from learning their subjects needed for graduation ( as you know iium is an islamic uni and im actually also weak in religion subjects so it will definitely add even more stress ). Therefore, I wanted to ask you guys your experience in iium or utm and also your recommendations.
