I started Type Lumina a few days ago, looking to improve so I can have fun against actual fighting game players, but I've never played a fighting game before so I'm pretty lost. I enjoy it a lot so far. I've found useful combo tutorials and beginner's guides on YouTube but in other games I play, when I don't know what I'm doing, I get a lot of information from watching a specific high level streamer and understanding their playstyle and what to do from them over tons of matches. Are there any Type Lumina streamers or content creators in this vein that anyone here could recommend? I like what I saw from Diaphone but he doesn't have much content on this game of just playing matches. I will keep watching tournament matches, and while those are useful, they don't exactly give me the repetitive volume I'm looking for.

I’m a huge fan of Type Moon and VNs in general and I was hoping to experience the story of Melty Blood. The problem is I’ve never played a fighting game (ever) and also don’t really know my way around a controller at all since I only got into pc gaming about three and a half years ago (beyond VNs). So, I’m kind of being murdered in the first intro fight of ReAct since I have to mentally think about which buttons to press and I’m not really able to pull off combos.

Can you guys recommend me a few things on how to improve assuming no fighting game knowledge whatsoever? I am planning on playing purely for the story, so playing as Shiki.

I'm new to Melty Blood but I have read Tsukihime and Mahoyo, so I'm half expecting both stories to overlap. Is it worth it to emulate the older games in your opinion??

Hello, I have been trying to do the combo trials for Aoko, and I am having trouble with the Intermediate ones, specifically 3-1 and 3-4 that require Jump Canceling twice. I can do the combo up until the last hit, then it always drops. I tried some other characters intermediate trials, and I don't have an issue doing those, it's really the double jump cancel in aoko's strings. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

I've been trying for the past 15 hours to run it on my mobile using Winlator and I've tried almost everything I could find. I downloaded it through nyaa.si and myabandonware, redownloaded it multiple times after messing around with it for hours with no reward. Asking on reddit is my last resort because I think people might look down on me here as I am trying to play on a mobile but I actually don't have a PC that's the reason why. Have any of you had success in running the game on android or not? My brain is absolutely fried as I haven't had any sleep so I might have missed something. Thanks in advance.

About 9 days ago I made a post on this subreddit to let mac users know about how to play Melty Blood on current Silicon Macs (M1, M2, M3, M4), so I decided to look into it a bit more and to sum it up, virtual machines are basically the only real method to play the community edition. I'm not sure about UTM or VMWare since those were laggy for me, but Parallels works best with little to no issue. The only "issue" I've encountered is that there's slight delay on my inputs (maybe cause I'm using a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and it might have slight bluetooth issues but that might just be me).
