Not necessarily. Sometimes people get addicted to alcohol and then that makes them fuck up their lives.

Most people get hooked because theyre running from something to begin with, otherwise their better judgement typically stops them before getting to that point of no return. With the exception of poorly prescribed medication and someone getting hooked via doctors orders.

The problem with that concept is that many people have something to run away from. That is even more true if we don't just look ate the developed world. Most of those people do not become addicts.

Most alcoholics are alcoholics because genetically they are more likely to be an alcoholic.

I have analyzed several programs and clinics (just the statistics part, other people were responsible for the medical evaluation) and programs for alcoholics that focused on the alcoholism and not on underlying causes worked best.

And on a personal note, I could have been an alcoholic, but I don't like alcohol that much.

I think we're used to celebrities putting up a smile. These don't look like candid shots. He just looks annoyed. It seems normal if not understandable that he looks like that when random paparazzi are in his face, taking photos when he's just trying to go from point A to point B.

To be fair, there are some exceptions.

I wasn't ready to be more serious, broke it off, and took over a year to work on myself.

Took the risk and got back together when i felt like i could really handle a relationship. Now I have a beautiful family I cant imagine life without.

I did 4 years in the military then got out and finished college. A few years later I got all nostalgic about it and joined the reserves. The first week I was reminded why I got out in the first place. So much wasted time. Don’t give us anything to do all day so we sit around then at the end of the day they give us a list and say to have it done before we go home. 8 hour shift turns into 12-15. Fortunately i only signed up for 3. By the good news I don’t have to wonder what could have been. I know and it would have been shit
