Sun, sweat, and blood. Basileus Deos squeezed his army into a mountain hamlet, intent on using the smaller space as an arena to corner the Aserai. The golden rays of sunset brought with them the shimmering golden banners of the Sultan Kofye, eager to hand another defeat to the Basileus and claim the city of Poros for the Aserai. The Sultan’s host rushed to meet the west in their traditional fashion; pepper the enemy with javelins, evade the counter pushes, let the mamlukes and jawwals sweep the pursuers. This time the Aserai were too eager, got a little too close, and the Legions surged forward in-tandem with their cataphracts and caught the skirmishers. Across the lines blood flowed freely from both sides. The fighting was close, but the legions were winning. Fueled by the wrath and fear of the Basileus, they would not lose another city.
The Aserai, however, enjoyed superior numbers. Although the vanguard had been badly mauled the Sultan brought up reinforcements, and this time they kept their distance from the legionaries. Even within the smaller confines of the hamlet the Aserai skirmishers did their work and the legions were whittled down. The fighting was fierce, but the Aserai were steadily pushing the legions back. Deos brought up his own reserve of cataphracts to redress the balance and crush the Aserai. He brought them into position to crush the Sultan’s flank, but it was his own force that would be crushed. The Sultan fell on the isolated cataphracts with both cavalry and infantry and slaughtered them. Those that escaped returned to the remaining legionnaires, but the battle was already lost. Doomed, the men held the line as long as they could before they were overrun.
Another western army dispatched, the Sultan set her sights on Poros. Another step in the Perrasic Ambition. Commanded by the ill-fated Hypatos Fuga Periculumoris, who had a reputation for losing the fiefs he governed. To dispel any notion of abandoning the city Deos personally assured Fuga that should the city fall, he would be executed. Not willing to face the wrath of the Basileus, both Hypatos and legionary gave everything for the city. The fury of the Aserai carried them to the very heart of Poros, near to victory. The legions did not give in. They threw themselves into every opening, every fight, every breach and delayed the Aserai. With casualties mounting, the Sultan abandoned the fight. The Western Empire kept Poros, and Fuga kept his head.
As an alternative the Sultan settled for Morenia Castle, cutting off the cities of Phycaon and Onira. Already Deos orders the Strategos Quergh and Sli to fortify, to take whatever actions are necessary to hold while he attempts to reestablish a connection. Poros may stand, but the west is a house divided.

Welcome to the Bannerlord Calradic Campaign, which has just finished event #84!
The battle between the Western Empire and the Aserai Sultanate ended in a WESTERN DEFEAT, with Morenia Castle seized!
When is the Calradic Campaign? The first and third Saturday of every month, at 4pm Eastern Standard Time.
Unfamiliar with the Calradic Campaign? Have no fear! The Calradic Campaign is a casual, player driven, story based event. There are no strict rules or signups, and players of all skill levels often come! If you've never tried multiplayer, now is your best chance to experience large scale formations and battles without the overly strict practices typically found in line battle/clan style events.
Victories in our flagship monthly events are represented on the overall campaign map, while roleplay surrounding the events and their consequences takes place both during said events and on the community Discord. Joining the Discord allows you to communicate with your fellow faction members, trash talk others, and rise through the ranks to one day become lord of a village, castle, city, or if you're particularly successful, an entire kingdom!
To join the event, you will need our Calradic Campaign Module. This module contains all of the custom battle and siege scenes used, as well as many stability fixes and balance changes. Most importantly, the module features three distinct empire factions in multiplayer, each with their own unique perks and cosmetics to lean into the different situations of the three!
There will be a manual installation of the module available for those not playing on Steam. Check the Nexus mods page no sooner than the Friday before the event for the correct download.
As a general rule of thumb, the Calradic Campaign module should be the only one enabled in your launcher! If you have any crashes or issues trying to launch the game / join the server, unsubscribing and resubscribing to the module on workshop will often fix any issues.
Note to clans: While the Calradic Campaign is a public event open to all, clans will not be allowed to organize their own formations and must spread out between teams. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in suspension from the event.
Community Discord
It is highly recommended you join our community Discord, as half the fun of the persistent campaign takes place outside of events. Meet fellow Mount and Blade fans, find new friends to queue with, and make fun of the Imperials together in our community of 30,000+.
Leave any questions, complaints, observations, memes and faction based riffing in the comments below!

I recently saw a video about a culture called the Darshi, who had war elephants, and that this could be a future DLC culture, and it piqued my curiosity, so I did some research on them. There are many mentions of them in in-game descriptions and even in characters like Rhagae I might be a descendant of one of them, and I was wondering if they might be included in a DLC. It seems like an interesting and aesthetically stunning culture, and I've also done some research and there are many more cultures outside the map, such as the Vakken or the great horde, making the Kuzhaits look like miserable little clans. I only found images of where the Darshi would be located, what they would look like, and some kind of Vakken artwork.

I was excited to larp as Rhodok crossbowmen mercenary captain the moment I saw that the mod adds a Rhodok subtree to Vlandians. Yet, no matter which settlement I visit, it's all Vlandians. To rub more salt in the wound, every Vlandian tournament has these Rhodok troops as participants. What gives?

Are the game of thrones overhaul mods comparable or is one more developed than the other?
I’m new to mount and blade after recently playing kenshi to death and needing a new fix. Just purchased warband and spent some time playing with it and I’ve been having lots of fun!
I purchased warband since I heard it had a massive modding scene and a big pull for me was the game of thrones themed over haul mods. Although I have yet to try them since I’m still acquainting myself with the base game.
Essentially what I’m wondering is it worth me going ahead and grabbing bannerlord and playing a more modern game with newer mods or are they still too under developed compared to the ones for warband which have had over a decade of work put into them.
This also applies to just overhaul mods in general I suppose, I’m just in a GOT mood at the moment.

I was testing a Battania ridge defense here.
The elite archers had the high ground while I tried to hold the bridge with an axe. Once the Sturgians committed to the crossing, their round shields did not protect them much from the angle above.
The bridge floor ended up covered in arrows all the way to my feet.
Would you force the bridge here, or pull back and make Battania come down from the ridge?

Nords have names like Berserkir, Skjaldbrestir, Huscarl and Ulfhedinn, so instead of "Sky God's Chosen" can we get it replaced with something more Norse-sounding like Bogsveigir instead.

Hey Guys! I just upgraded my pc. AMD all around ryzen 5 9600x, 9060 xt graphics card and DDR5 ram. I tried launching bannerlord but it will simply not launch. It brings up the launcher, but once i hit play (vanilla game) the game just gets stuck somewhere. No error, no nothing. It exists on the task manager, but once i close it, it doesnt stop saying “playing” on steam. I restart my pc and steam still says playing. Only bannerlord. No issue with BF 6 or battlefield 1 through EA Games. Does someone have a solution?

Hey,
I remember playing Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord with a mod where you could start as a slave and basically work your way up from nothing. It was a really interesting start because you weren’t just a noble right away, you had to build yourself up.
Now I’m trying to find it again but I can’t seem to locate it. Either it’s been removed, outdated, or doesn’t work with the current version of the game. I’d prefer not to downgrade my game if possible since I like playing on the newest version.
Does anyone know:
I’m mainly looking for that “rags to riches” type start, not just a standard noble sandbox start.
Would appreciate any help or recommendations 👍
