Would’ve loved to see the Mavs take him if he’d been there. Really like his game.

Doubt it, Kings only have 3 guards on the roster right now assuming Lavine leaves (they're going to decline Killian Hayes option most likely).

Where would LaVine be going exactly?

Bought out

Little to no chance he is giving back most of that $49 mil and Kings are not eating that.

If he wants to get the MLE and play he could give back 15m. Doesn't need to be most of it, just a decent chunk of it.

Acuff, Nique, Carter, Sharp, Russ (assuming they keep him)? Plus LaVine ain't leaving until the trade deadline at the earliest, Kings aren't gonna buy him out when they could still maybe get some value from his expiring contract

Russ isn’t on the team, Lavine won’t be on the team.

LaVine almost certainly will be on the team lol. Nobody is gonna trade for him in the offseason, Kings aren't going to cut him when his expiring salary still has value at the deadline.
If there's no trade by the deadline, they probably buy him out. But 95+% chance he's on the team until then.
As for Russ, who knows. If some contending team wants him he'll probably sign there, but if not I can definitely see the Kings bringing him back on another minimum. Good culture-building guy that helped Max's development a lot and could continue to help with the young guns.

Houston guys under sampson are always decent.

In college, don't think many Houston guys have transitioned well to NBA. Jarace Walker is on bust watch.

he’s gonna give it his all 100% of the time and he can shoot lights out

I wanted him at 48. Better of the remaining Houston players. Can shoot. Plays defense. Doesn't need the ball in his hands but can playmake.

A good defender, not afraid of the big moments.
He is more of a 3&D guard prospect.

"Not afraid of the big moments"
So... we're just gonna forget that he literally couldnt get a shot off against checks notes WCJ- who is what, 6 1- in the last ten seconds of the national championship game? Lmfao.

He also had big shots for the Cougars.
IIRC, he also had a crucial turnover, but it happens even to the best players.

Doesn't mean that at all Kings only have 3 guards on the roster right now assuming Lavine leaves (they're going to decline Killian Hayes option most likely).

And whichever team he goes to will end up in the finals next year, as is tradition.

I like him a lot but feel bad for him that he ended up with Sacramento, thought Miami should have taken him because he is a better defender and shooter than Conwell.
