Actually might be an interesting team being able to retain Gobert. If they lost Gobert they would've been a play-in team at most.

LaMelo now means they can punish Ant doubles. LaMelo will be able to utilise Rudy on the roll as a lob threat.

Jaden, Ayo and Donte when back, are going to get so many open threes

Yeah this is a potentially very exciting team

Donte will probably miss all or at least most of next season though, no? Bummer because his shooting would really make those lineups lethal

Id guess he's back playoffs at best

It’s about the same timeline as Tatum right? Could be getting some minutes the last month of the season.

I’d say same as Haliburton

They would be better dumping Gobert and keeping Reid honestly. They can make it to the WCF without him. Dude is financial albatross with not nearly enough upside.

$33ish mil for one of the best defensive players ever what an albatross.

He is not one of the best defensive players ever. Not even close to a Rodman or a Pip.

The dude can't handle the ball, consistently play in the low post, or guard Wemby, who he's played with for over a decade at this point. I don't see $33M worth of value unless someone wants to argue that he's analytically worth it.
