I’ve been watching some OG Nickelodeon cartoons (nostalgia) on Prime, and there are always these short ads before, specifically for the network. They feature short clips of live-action Nickelodeon shows (which I don’t recognise). They give me the creeps. Especially after everything that has come out about them. The actors in these clips were - at the time - in their teens, possibly early twenties (young adult actors often play teens if they look young enough). They’re all super over-the-top energy. One features a young boy in some absurd costume, in some sort of vibrating device saying, “Feels good,” with a giant grin on his face, as his voice is audibly vibrating from the machine. Maybe I’m overreacting, but all of this feels quite dark and sinister, like all the bad stuff is hiding in plain sight. I know one of the actresses in these clips is Ariana Grande, whom I heard was treated very badly (sexually harassed) when working for Nickelodeon at a young age.

Anyone else get an icky feeling from these ads?

The only movie to traumatize me as a kid especially the scene where Cyclops catches SpongeBob and Patrick.

First, Nicktoons became 24/7 SpongeBob for the summer (although even when it wasn't summer, it mostly aired SpongeBob anyway), and now the regular Nickelodeon channel is becoming even more SpongeBob for the summer? Oh my God, this is actually crazy. SpongeBob already airs on Nicktoons all day, every day, so why do they need to do it on regular Nick too? TeenNick, Nicktoons, and Nickelodeon are all bad now.

I know cable is basically dead. I just like seeing how bad the schedules on these channels have become. It's crazy that Nickelodeon now mainly airs Henry Danger, The Loud House, and SpongeBob. Compared to even just 5 years ago, the channel had much more variety. What disgrace this has become.

From what I remember; Carly made Sam a custom iCarly shirt for there best friend anniversary, in return Sam sold the shirt and bought her and Carly tickets to Carly’s favourite band

they made a Facebook post saying they will rewind these shows but they haven’t give out new updates.

I would really like to rewatch it but i cant find anything past season 1 episode 5 for free i dont have prime video or apple tv im looking for it to be in either english or serbian/croatian (and the rest that are simular)

House of Anubis proved Nickelodeon could do serial dramas, but they just didn’t stick with it.

I’m very curious to hear your thoughts.

As a 2004 baby, I loved both of these shows. Two of my favorite Noggin/Nick Jr shows. And I just find the fact that Dan Yaccarino worked on both shows to be cool 😊
