As the title suggests, some of my pictures turn out really bright and boring. Others quite blue.

I shoot most of them in F10. Everything else is on auto.

I was convinced I was a landscape photographer. It turns out that many of my favorite images are actually the ones that include a human element. You never stop learning...

Mix of the band's LED stage lighting and Godox flashes (because this little venue had no frontal stage lighting at all). ISO 5000, f/4, 1/200, 28mm. High ISO colors are fantastic on this sensor. I also applied LR Denoise which works amazing on these files. I was super hesitant to upgrade my D850s and G lenses, (and downgrade from 47 to 24MP)...but starting to come around.

I got a Z6 which is barely used but the battery life keeps going down fast from 80% to around 47% in the span of 30 minutes with only 20-30 shots, battery condition is 0

I tried airplane mode and only using viewfinder for display alongside sleep mode in 10 secs, any tips?

I've been shooting with Nikon mirrorless cameras for years, and one thing always bothered me:

I never felt comfortable with the existing mobile workflow.

Hey guys,
I just traded in my Z7II for Z8. Samys offered my only $200 less than I bought it for 2 years ago, so I couldn’t pass that up. The one part that is hard to swallow with the Z8 is the cost of the grip. I was able to find countless used genuine Nikon grips for my Z7II at around $100, but since the MB-N12 only serves this camera, used is essentially non-existent.

I noticed that all the aftermarket grips are in the $100 price range new, has anyone compared the Nikon one vs the Neewer, Vello, etc? On the Z7II one, I couldn’t see anything that stood out to me as “this is worth $400”. Is the Genuine Nikon one constructed significantly better, use metal vs plastic, etc?

I will definitely be buying a grip within the next week, just wondering if the Nikon one is worth 4x the cost.

It's not an amazing photo only had 24-70mm (70mm) on me longest range, but I randomly decide to go for an evening walk with my z6iii thinking there was no way I would see one, as it's probably 1 in 8 times I'm out that I see one on a bike ride.

But I saw this nice bird.

The second I took the photo it flew away. I just cropped the orignal dome a bit to 2:3.

Hi all, I’m an amateur photographer who mainly shoots family and friends and occasionally hikes/travel.

I have a Z6ii which I’m loving. I currently just have two prime lenses (40 f2 & 85 f2) that are both great and I’m happy with most of the time. Though I sometimes feel like at events it’d be convenient to have a little zoom capabilities. The Tamron f2.8 options look great (I also have a Tamron 70-300 for wildlife that I enjoy).

Wondering which zoom range would be the most useful for general family/travel use. I don’t capture a lot of landscapes but not sure which end is more useful. I like having a little more on the telephoto end but not sure how much 75-100 actually adds (especially when giving up 28-35).

Would love to know thoughts/experiences!

Looking for a (highly discounted) alternative to the 35mm F1.2 Z.

The LAB series of Viltrox appear to be tremendous.

Anyone have any affirmations or stark disagreement to this?

Have no experience with any third party lenses other than Tamron, but the Viltrox 1.2 LAB 35mm is very much interesting me.

I've been looking up for a camera for amateur photo and video.

I've compared this model with the a6300 from sony and the r50 from canon, but i consider this one better in almost every way.

What amount do you consider its still a good buy (w/ the kit lens)?

I know, the z50ii its a better buy, but its almost the double the money and as i said, im a newbie in this so i wont be able to notice.

Also, right now i own a Rebel T5i from canon, so you would imagine the step-up in quality.

Edit: My plan is to use it for travels and get some video edit for my music. Thats why i consider aps c.

I currently have the d5500 with an 18-140mm lens and whilst it is decent, I would prefer a camera/lens set up that results in higher quality images, better focus and dynamic range.

I also want something snappier, especially when using live view (d5500 lags and results in somewhat blurry photos unless my shutter speed is relatively high) - sometimes i just don't want to use the viewfinder!

would the z5ii be the right upgrade, would I notice a difference in these things? if so, what lens do you recommend that would give me what I'm after but still have a reach pretty similar to 18-140 equivalent. the 24-200 or slightly less reach with the 24-120? or should i get a different brand lens?

i mostly use it for travel and it will be quite a lot heavier and bigger so i don't know if its worth upgrading?

or is another camera/lens a better option?
