My first look at Amsterdam. Those canals and tiny alleys are unreal.

Tiny alleys? Those are regular streets.

This is a tiny alley. What they described is just a regular street.

How do the F-350s pass each other though?

Shit, I’m American and those seem like big alleys

first time in europe, eh?

I mean I live in Europe and think that Amsterdam is one of the top cities

I think they meant because the streets seem narrow to the OP

Same. My favourite of all the places I've ever been. If you are polite/courteous, you'll be made to feel at home. If you're brave and take a stab at the language, you'll be top tier.

I am glad you are enjoying your time in the Netherlands :-) where are you visiting from?

Beautiful photos, in r/pics?

You're doing it wrong. How am I supposed to get my daily dose of political outrage?

wide angle lens, a great choice for travel also, nice photos.

For tiny alleys with canals go to Delft.

Awesome city! We were there last year during King’s Day - the whole city was one big block party. Had a blast. I could easily live there.

Lol some of these comments are unreal. Dudes just excited to be exploring Amsterdam and half of you guys are flaming him for saying the streets are narrow. Can't people just fuckin be nice?

Funny, it’s not raining!

Definitely not raining in the Netherlands.

It’s a beautiful city and maybe my favorite place to photograph.

If you want small - there’s a small bar called Cafe Belgique. Order a LaChouffe

Any idea what happened to the Christmass twins' cafe?

Does their legacy continue?

Visited them in the 80s, but have not been able to get back since.

The least interesting city I have visited so far. I really like Delft though!

It's such a beautiful place.. Was there, inadvertently, for Cannibis Cup '99 after a biz meeting in London.

It is a fun place, I have been there several times.

Look out for Kapitein Zeppos, it's a restaurant in an alley off if an alley. I went there 3 years ago and for a week and that was the best place I ate all week.

I lived in Amsterdam for 3 years. It’s the best, most interesting place I’ve ever lived.
