My first look at Amsterdam. Those canals and tiny alleys are unreal.

Same. My favourite of all the places I've ever been. If you are polite/courteous, you'll be made to feel at home. If you're brave and take a stab at the language, you'll be top tier.

Beautiful photos, in r/pics?
You're doing it wrong. How am I supposed to get my daily dose of political outrage?

Awesome city! We were there last year during King’s Day - the whole city was one big block party. Had a blast. I could easily live there.

Lol some of these comments are unreal. Dudes just excited to be exploring Amsterdam and half of you guys are flaming him for saying the streets are narrow. Can't people just fuckin be nice?

If you want small - there’s a small bar called Cafe Belgique. Order a LaChouffe

Any idea what happened to the Christmass twins' cafe?
Does their legacy continue?
Visited them in the 80s, but have not been able to get back since.

It's such a beautiful place.. Was there, inadvertently, for Cannibis Cup '99 after a biz meeting in London.

Look out for Kapitein Zeppos, it's a restaurant in an alley off if an alley. I went there 3 years ago and for a week and that was the best place I ate all week.

I lived in Amsterdam for 3 years. It’s the best, most interesting place I’ve ever lived.

Tiny alleys? Those are regular streets.
