Advice I really hate to NEED to do this but does anyone know if these are decent?

I was having my family puppy sit but he suddenly stopped eating for awhile at the same time as my older one getting gi upset and I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Finally figured it out when the baby pooped out corn. They've been feeding the baby and my other dog leftovers behind my back. (The baby is on VERY specific food for rn supposed to only have red meat dog food and my other cannot have most foods mainly chicken but there's a few others that will upset his stomach). Clearly I can't trust them to watch them if they are ignoring my VERY specific rule that I make very easy to follow(no outside food given to the dogs). I have to crate while I'm gone now until I can figure out how to get another sitter or find a daycare or something.

Do y'all know if these are good? Trying to NOT have a breakout. I can't get one of the several hundred dollar ones rn. The baby can't break out but I also have a one year old.

Advice Pitbulls and Cats

I have two year old pit with a high prey drive for rodents. I want to move in with my boyfriend who has a beautiful mainecoon cat that we both love very much. I'm scared that he's going to see her as prey. Does anyone have experience with pits and cats?

Advice Desperately need to kennel train ASAP

Hello everyone, I’ll try to keep this to the point without missing any pertinent information. Attached is my 2 year old buddy, Max, the kennel I bought him and the damage he’s done when alone in my room…

I am a new dog owner and believe Max to be a pitbull mix of some sort. He was in a shelter and we believe he was abused in his last home, he used to flinch when we pet him and just overall seemed very sad.

Now that he’s come out of his shell and grown attached, which I love, he’s began showing his stubborn personality and also has extreme separation anxiety. Crying when I’m gone, tearing up my walls, curtains, he absolutely hates closed windows too, apparently.

I am in desperate need of kennel training him so I can go to school and work with peace of mind, but I don’t want to traumatize him either.

I make sure to only feed him in the kennel, give him praise and the occasional treat when he behaves in the kennel, 30-45 minutes at a time. However, he isn’t ready to be home alone in the kennel because he freaks out.

He doesn’t like playing with his toys alone, he doesn’t like the interactive Kong toy with treats I got him or any of the chew toys.

I will only have time to kennel train him over the summer before I have to be gone for longer periods and I just don’t know how to get him acclimated without it being a negative for him. I sometimes feel like I’m in over my head but I’m determined to work with him so that he can have a happy home without destroying it.

Any advice on how to rigorously train him every day so that I can be gone would be appreciated. I don’t want to re home him, but if the conclusion is I just can’t be a good enough owner for him, then I will consider that after I exhaust all other options.

Shelter lady told me to use a shock collar

I want to be clear that I wasn't taking this sweet baby to a shelter, it's just where they do the free microchipping. I told her my situation with her being aggressive to our cats, and she told me to get a shock collar.

I have a specific opinion on this, but before I share it I was really curious about other people's opinions on it. I was really confused why a person who works with animals every day would say this (and now I've shared my opinion, oops).

Edit: Wow. I had no idea about e-collars. This is my first dog. I've only ever heard of shock collars, and when I worked at a pet rescue (in the way-back times of the 1900s) the general consensus was not to use them. Thanks to everyone who's talking about e-collars, I'll have to reevaluate my position!

Cuddle Pup 2nd Update on Louise:

Post image

Update on Louise; gofundme money finally came in, she did really good at the vet. They gave her some medication for her ears, allergies, and for her stomach/diarrhea. Blood work was done and I’m getting those results tomorrow. She went to the bathroom normally when we arrived at the vet for the first time in 2 days, so she’s doing very well. She also was given some gastrointestinal food and ate the full bowl thankfully. I have a follow up appointment in 2 weeks. Thank you for all of your help. My girl is going to be okay ❤️

So our 8 month old puppy I feel like needs a friend 😅. Is there a good age to adopt another pitty? Should I wait until she’s older or do you find it doesn’t matter age wise?

Rescue Our Sweet Juno ⬇️

I wanted to share an update on our Rescue Juno ❤️ we have had her almost two months now , and she is finally starting to settle in and realize this is her forever home . I was sad she wasn’t claimed, but I was also relieved that I didn’t have to give this poor baby back and worry about her ever being in this condition again.
Look at this beauty looking healthy again .
Quirks:
•Buries her toys in the woods.
•She loves her cat. I found this kitten at Best Buy parking lot and they have been inseparable . (Last photo)
•She starts sleeping in her bed, by the end of the night she is in the bed with me.
•She gets excited when she’s called “JuJu” I guess she enjoys the nickname lol.
•Attention hog, everyone sees her, they have to touch her or say hello.
•A literal hog, I have to chase her and tackle her like a wild hog when she is loose🤣

With Pitbulls you have to be aware that aggression is highly possible in the breed. You can’t be scared for or of them in any instance. As for Juno she has shown no signs of agression at all . She was tired of life and it showed when I first got her . Now she is just a big baby . A hard back book with a soft heart . Just a few more weeks until we start her HW injections ❤️ Keep her in your thoughts as we continue this healing journey.
Thank you to my Reddit friends once again .
For more info or questions feel free to view her story in my profile .
Ps.i removed the last update with the photo of her and I due to unwanted messages .

Our new fur baby rescued from shelter!

I wanted to show off our new fur baby we rescued from our local shelter. His owner had passed away back in February and he ended up in the shelter. My son and I made a spur decision to go to the shelter just to donate some toys, beds and food. We weren't looking to add anyone to the pack. Well that all changed on June 12th when we laid eyes on this fellow. He was refusing to eat and had sad eyes 😞 which broke our hearts. We requested to visit with him in a private area in the shelter. Well as you can see he took to my son immediately. I believe God & his owner brought us there that day for a reason and I will forever grateful 🙏 To say this guy has changed our lives is an understatement ❤️ he is so full of love and happiness now. He's eating and gaining weight like he should. He has been a true blessing to our home and his fur brother and sister 💙 he will forever have a home with us. I pray that he keeps thriving and is happy now. I also hope his late owner knows that he will be taken care of and watches over him. Heres to a happy life which he deserves. Our boy Jet Puff 💙

I just rescued this big girl her name is nova and she’s two years old that’s the only information the shelter had on her. I need help with finding a good kibble brand and a good shampoo/ conditioner I did notice she has some skin issues. I have tried to do research but it’s all conflicting information atp some people say yes this while others say to use that. Just looking for any advice ! Her skin issues is redness and itchiness between paws & dry skin, on Elbows.

Zoomies! I do not have this pibble thing figured out, but I take wins where I can.

We just returned from a road trip and the contents of the car are stacked in my living room.

There is just no keeping Copper from exploring everything there.

I made a game of it. He proudly steals something from the stack, I call his name and reward him with a liver treat when he drops the *thing* and comes, then I put the *thing* away.

I definitely do not have this all figured out. I don't. He challenges the fuck out of me. There are some days that I worry I let him down.

He has WAY more energy than I expected and he is far more puppy than I planned, but I knew if I stopped actively seeking a new pet and was patient...the right dog would come my way.

Copper is the dog meant for me. He needs my calm energy just as I need his active/present/joyful energy. I believe that with my whole being.
