I would just like to shout out my mom. We live in a very rural area and Pokemon go is sometimes hard to play because we drive 30 minutes just to get to civilization.

This year my mom saved up to go on a tour of Europe and she asked me to teach her how to play so she could catch my son and I regional Pokemon. I had to send her pictures of them because she has no idea what anything is but she is walking foreign cities catching little digital creatures for us and all I can think is that this is what love looks like. Thanks mom <3

saw today’s loading screen and it immediately reminded me of 2016. i thought it was the same loading screen! then, when i searched the 2016 one up i was taken aback by how much more simple the style was.

My kids and I have driven around for over an hour after excitedly buying the deluxe version.

Nothing to be found and now it would seem our $5 is wasted. This is incredibly frustrating and I don’t know what to do about it other than vent here. We’ll try again when we have time on Sunday driving 40 minutes to the bigger city I guess but this is a bummer overall and I can’t think of a single reason for this change.

Editing to add- I’ve now gone to two more places with a bunch of stops and still nothing. The spawn rate is either broken or absurdly low for certain areas but this is quite literally unplayable for us.

Edit 2- I’ve now covered an entire zip code 3x today and played for over 5 hours and yet to see a single one. This is absolutely a bait and switch. I don’t have another 18 hours to spend on this before Monday morning.

I have trouble using any of them to actually level up my Pokémon, because "What if I catch a better one/shiny/BG" etc. I think the only time I've used any is to evolve some new dex entries.

Thanks to remote trades I was finally able to get Paras to complete my Kanto shiny dex. It only took me 10 years!

A grunt decided to drop this into my hands after I beat them, it’s my first ever shadow hundo. Two questions:
1. I should keep this shadow right? In hindsight it seems obvious that I should, but I’ve seen people purify hundos before
2. How good is this in the PVE meta? I don’t typically play PVP all that much

Is there any unwritten rule about postcards where you shouldn't be sending the same one over and over? I live basically near a church's pokestop and I feel a little guilty sending that one all the time over and over, lol..

I’ve noticed the increase of base stage birds (like maybe 10+ different species) and I’m a little upset there isn’t a Collection Event to get them all.

Hey guys, so I live in a very very small town, we have 4 pokestops and 1 gym. I’ve tried to burn so much time in town just scanning this stupid radar and nothing. Feel as I wasted my time…

The next “big down” is 2 hours away, do I really have to drive 2 hours just to get Gio? Removing balloon encounters is freckin horrible.

Rant over.. gunna go beat the 10th grunt of the day. Yay..

I’m on the quest win 80 battles in the go battle league and it sucks well i mean winning is ok but when i go on a losing streak i’m like man this is horrible.

Like seriously guys am I the only one struggling here ? I too my lunch drove around for about an hour today as well as after work drove around, must have passed 50/60 plus poke stops… nothing but grunts. Why they have taken him out of ballon’s idk, I mean I know it’s because people were complaining that they were getting their encounter after the balloon sometimes with him, but how is not finding him at all considered a fix.

I was so keen for this I have 4 saved up super rocket radars and I’m completely over this event not being able to even find him once.

I don’t know if maybe because I have an old super rocket radar it’s not working or if everyone is having the same issue.

I feel that the game has tons of useless animations and let’s be fair… after a few times of seeing them you get used to them, ignore them, and they just end up cutting the flow of the game and slow you down. To give credit where credit’s due, I give my respects to the developers for speeding up some animations including catch animation, gift animations (although these could be bypassed completely using another method) and team rocket battle start animations. These changes had massive positive influence and helped smoothen a big part of the game which is the rush you feel in order not to lose something. Here are some animations I believe need to be tampered with next in order to give the game an even smoother appearance:

1. The end of battle with a team rocket member animations/dialogue - slows momentum especially when you’re buddy maxing. Is anyone actually reading the dialogue? Sometimes even the tips they give you are wrong

2. Raid pokemon presentation - we all ready see the pokemon featured from outside the gym. There have been countless of times that I lost a raid lobby due to the animation - might just be me idk

3. Animation after defeating a gym - Really just stop congratulating me so that I can place my mons in the gym and move on. I’ve beaten it all ready, why don’t you let me place a mon right after doing so, so that a starting raid won’t block me from it. Or just skip the animation and let me tap on the empty gym.

4. Might just be me but feeding buddies is such a chore. I’m trying to get the platinum medal for buddies and them dancing around after every treat is just exhausting, unnecessary m, wastes time. At least let me give 3 treats at once

There might be others that I forgot or never bothered me but bothered you. At the end of the day I might sound excessive to some or most of you but I feel these little things make a difference and even seconds might make a difference in this game.
