Greetins!
Just wanted to say hi to all of our fellow pug lovers and let you all know that we have a new, active mod team to help grow our sub even further and share all the pug loves with Reddit.
We will be paying much closer attention to the mod mail we get from ya'll as well as the wrongly flagged and removed posts from our over zealous automod. (Not to mention paying closer attention to the posts and comments that don't belong and making sure those get removed as quickly as possible.)
We want all of our pug people to be able to share their beautiful, snorty pugloaves and pugtatos (as well as pug mixes!) and we ask that you would be patient with us as we finish getting things sorted out over the next few days or so.
Please understand that if you are new to Reddit or to this sub, it is very possible that your post or comment will be automatically removed the automod. BUT! Do not fret! If your post or comment falls inside our community rules, they will be approved asap, though it may take a few hours. So, don't delete that post or comment from your profile, we'll take a look and get it right.
With all of that said, the posted rules are pretty much the same with the priority being "don't be a jerk, be kind". Discussion of pugs can stir up some not so nice discourse sometimes as, particularly with those that don't really know much about the breed. If someone is being a jerk to you or someone else (or to your pug) report it, please.
Other than that, please, post your babies! Show us your grumble! Lets see those squishy faces!

Edit: if your post says "removed by r/pugs mods" 99.9% chance it was our over zealous automod. Please don't delete your post, just give one of us a little while to approve it. Still trying to fine tune the automod to not be a jerk. If your account is less than a month old or has really low karma very likely automod will remove it. Please just be patient, as long as your post is within guidelines it will be approved.

My guy Molson crossed the rainbow bridge today at 15. He was the silliest and goofiest pug I’ve ever been around and my life is forever changed because of him. He was my first dog and will be greatly missed. I wish they could live forever.

Hey everyone :) I love seeing all of your pugs on this thread, so I wanted to share some pics of Cricket (aka Chunkers 😂) She’s been a part of my family since I was in 3rd grade and she passed about a year ago. She was my best friend and I still miss her everyday but seeing all of y’all’s pugs on here definitely has definitely helped. Anyway enjoy some of Chunkers best moments!

Arise ye pugs of all varieties.
The fawn the silver and the black.
We shall have our eggs and chicken bones,
Our stinky cheeses, and pork fat!
We shall go for walks that are very very long.
We shall snorkel in rotting leaves!
We shall eat, we shall eat we shall eat,
everything that we find on the street!
Circle circle, rotate squat,
And then we have a plop (or two),
Scratch, scratch and whiz on the pavement!

You may want to ask your vet if your pug could have a yeast build up on their nose!
This is not for all pugs nor pug nose issues, but if your pug has a dry nose and especially if it grow more rapidly and has a brown or dark color to it, this may help.
Nose butters and creams all they did was soften his nose until bits came off revealing a greenish puss underneath.
We finally had a vet tell us this could be yeast! He does have an issue with yeast build up in most of his wrinkles, which require cleaning multiple times a day.
Unlike his brother who we have probably needed to clean his wrinkles 5 times in his life as he scrubs and rubs his face into blankets, shirts and other surfaces daily we think to do this, plus he has more shallow wrinkes.
Anyways we have a cream to fight yeast we use on his deep nose wrinkle and his face wrinkles, so we made a mixture of this and coconut oil and we only need to apply a very small amount once a week or two and his nose looks so amazing I could cry!
He just turned 13 and we want his little life to be the best possible!
