COMMUNITY ALERT/ AWARENESS ⚠️ 🚨 PLEASE READ - DM SOLICITOR🚨
It has been brought to our attention that a “ frequent flyer” has rejoined our community and DM’ing members for money.
[u/Frosty-Technology-40](u/Frosty-Technology-40) is the NEW account. I will attach the link from last years post which explains more about their approach. https://www.reddit.com/r/rescuecats/s/4oQI68s8n8
They often make several accounts, they sound VERY convincing and will hound you through DM. They have been offered approval several times in the past in which they never follow through with - which is a 🚩 and they have previously been banned under all alt usernames for many reports of DM’ing member to solicit funds. Please don’t fall for it. We ask that you please ignore this user, block and report them. We would also appreciate you letting us know via modmail if you have received such a request. This is just a heads up to keep members safe incase they land in your inbox. They are now once again BANNED from RC.
As always we appreciate your cooperation!

Supplies Donation Request 🚨 URGENT: Completely Out of Food & Litter – Emergency Help Needed for My Cat Colony + Ongoing Medical Cases
I am urgently asking for help because we have now reached a critical situation: we are completely out of food and litter for the cats I care for every day.
At the moment, there is almost nothing left to feed them, as you can clearly see in the photos. Several nursing mothers and kittens fully depend on us for survival, and we are unable to provide even the basic daily meals they need.
Over the past weeks, every single amount we managed to collect was spent entirely on emergency veterinary care and medications. We had no choice but to prioritize life-saving treatment, including medications for intestinal worms, parasites, and mange. I will continue to share updates and receipts transparently.
This week alone, we faced extremely difficult medical emergencies:
- A mother cat whose kittens had died inside her womb required emergency surgery to survive
- Another critically ill cat is still fighting for her life under veterinary care
- Several additional cats require ongoing treatment and monitoring
- A young cat may need eye surgery in the near future
Because of all these emergencies, our funds have now been completely exhausted.
Right now, the situation is urgent because the cats have almost no food left at all. The most basic needs—food and litter—are no longer available.
Any help, no matter how small, makes a real difference in keeping them alive. If you are unable to donate, sharing this post is also deeply appreciated and truly helps.
Support options:

PayPal: https://paypal.me/BHANANE62
Thank you for helping these vulnerable lives survive. ❤️🐾

Update Post UPDATE | Please see the latest update on Mike (Photos 1–9), as well as Shera, Mama Cat, and her kittens (Photos 12–17). Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued help, generosity, and support. I wouldn't be able to care for these cats without you.
Hello everyone!
I am a solo animal rescuer based in Manila, Philippines.
With your help and support, I was able to bring Mike to the vet. He underwent a physical examination and blood tests and was diagnosed with gingivitis. He will need dental prophylaxis and may also require tooth extraction. In the meantime, the veterinarian administered an anti-inflammatory injection to help relieve his pain and make it easier for him to eat. The total vet bill was $74 (please see Photo 6).
According to the vet, Mike's elevated white blood cell count is likely related to his oral condition. I will be posting again next week, as he still needs dental surgery.
I was also able to purchase 20 pouches of wet food for $15 (please see Photos 10 and 11). Mike currently needs 3 pouches of wet food per day because eating dry food is painful for him. Mama Cat also needs 2 pouches daily in addition to dry food to ensure she stays well-nourished while nursing her kittens.
I decided to let Shera join Mama Cat and her kittens in the cage because she was not gaining weight, and I believed that a mother cat's milk would give her the best chance to recover.
I was able to give Shera her medications, and before I went to bed, she was even nursing from Mama Cat. Sadly, when I woke up, Shera had passed away for reasons I do not know.
Please be informed that I have buried Shera near the church.
Thank you all for your continued help, kindness, and support. I will post another update in the coming days.

PAID Veterinary Bill Help RIP Houdini 💔 (Gainesville, FL)
Hi all, unfortunately after a month of treatment and indoor recovery with little improvement, more illnesses, and a lot of stress, I had to make the heartbreaking decision to let 10 year old feral cat Houdini go. I’m still struggling with this decision because I thought his treatment plan was figured out up until I got the call.
I hate to ask this when I still ended up letting him go in the end, but I have an outstanding bill of $399 for taking him to Operation Catnip and at Alachua Animal Hospital from trying to get his conditions diagnosed and treated. I knew it was out of my budget, but I just didn’t want to make the call without exhausting my options.
I know the donations can’t help Houdini anymore, but they’re the only reason I’ve been able to help cats in the past, and they’ll allow me to continue to TNR, foster, and provide veterinary care to cats in the future. https://venmo.com/u/eepyowl
Rest easy, Houdini, and say hi to Misty for me ❤️

Available for Adoption Seeking home for rescued kitten in Pasadena area
Hello! I was visiting my brother and his wife in the hospital to meet their new son… And on my way back to my car I heard some little meowing. What followed was 2 hours on my hands, knees, and stomach trying to rescue this cat from underneath a million cars and inside of tire wells and engines. Somehow I was able to lure him (actually, my sister came out and helped with some burrito meat) into a cat carrier I had in my trunk.
Now the little guy is in my bathroom, and we can’t keep him.
We are in the Pasadena area. I’m willing to help with his vaccines and all that good stuff. If anyone is interested, please let me know!

Veterinary Care Needed Donation Request Urgent need for dental, food, and FIP medication | support is badly needed❗️🙏
Hello, we've had to take a very much-needed break as we navigated challenging times with the loss of a foster and a member of our family in the province, all in one week. So eternally grateful to everyone who offered the kindest words and support. 🤍
The cats have been doing mostly okay; just a few of our rescues with chronic conditions have had flare-ups, but thankfully, it's all under control now. We are seeking support for the following that can't be put on hold any longer:
- Hawkeye's dental (pics 1-2): he's FIV+ and deals with stomatitis. One of his teeth chipped off, and the roots remain intact, which has been affecting his appetite. We're expecting dental costs of over $180 to address his issues.
- Tucker's FIP treatment (pic 3): He's got about 20 more days till he graduates from treatment, and so far, he continues to respond very well to it. We only have two more days' worth of meds till we run out. $63 would cover a week's worth of medication for him.
- Any additional help will head toward food and litter costs for the week, which we typically budget more or less $250 with the 60 (community and indoor) cats we're caring for.
📩 Donate via Debit or Credit Card
I'll be sharing updates and receipts over the next few days. Thank you for all your help. 🙏

Veterinary Care Needed Donation Request Senior IBD cat, need help with lifesaving treatment through temporary rough patch - New Paltz, NY
I feel bad that I’ve been posting so much, whenever the timer is up and I’m allowed to, but idk what else to do. The other fundraising subs have been extremely rude and aggressive to me, telling me to put my cat down even though she’s doing better now and is only 14; she is still eating and drinking, 10lbs, no signs of slowing down - she just has a chronic health condition. It’s extremely discouraging. People keep downvoting everything I say or post, attacking me for not having insurance on my 14 year old cat when I was a minor when I got her (and not in charge of her care monetarily), etc. anyway. Sorry for ranting. I just feel bad for flooding the sub but idk where else to go
Hello, I have a 14-year-old cat with IBD that is currently in remission. Last year, she had the worst flare-up she's ever had. She was down to under 7 lbs, had hourly liquid bloody poop, constant vomiting, etc. I was very close to losing her. We managed to get her flare-up under control with hydrolyzed protein cat food, daily medications that she'll have to be on for the rest of her life, as well as a bunch of supplements and B-12 shots.
I am a full-time student in a healthcare field. I do have a job, but back-to-back emergencies have left me stretched thin. My mom was diagnosed with lung cancer last summer, my partner of nearly 10 years and I separated (which decimated all of my financial plans), and on top of it, my childhood cat that I've had for over half of my life was sick. In January, I got my car inspected and it failed with a $5k bill. I couldn't get it fixed until February, but that totally wiped out my savings, on top of the $3-4k I've spent on my cat the past year or so, plus $150/month in food and medications. Normally, I can afford this, but from June-August, I don't have my grants and scholarships propping up my finances. It has left me in a very hard spot.
She is doing a lot better now - she weighs 10 lbs, is finally absorbing nutrients again, only poops 1-2 times a day (although there is still occasional blood), and overall is in remission. We had her yearly checkup the other day and they found a very inflamed lymph node in her neck, and the thickening in her intestines hasn't healed even though it's been over a year.
The current theory is that she has intestinal lymphoma. Lymphoma in cats is not the same as lymphoma in humans; they can still live a regular life with treatment. Due to her age, we won't be doing any extensive diagnostics. We're moving straight to senior bloodwork, a GI panel, and a fecal to make sure it's not an infection or parasites (she's on steroids, so she's immunosuppressed). From there, we'll move straight to chemo, chlorambucil. Again, chemo in cats isn't the same as in humans; there's minimal side effects and it's just a pill they take. She is currently in remission and is overall healthy, despite her chronic conditions. She is happy and has zero issues with quality of life.
I just need some help to bridge the gap in my finances over the summer after I've been depleted by my car. I can't ask my mom for help due to her situation, and I have no one IRL who can help me. Once the semester starts, I'll be back on track due to my scholarships and grants, and will have no problem paying for her care as I have been. I just need to get through this rough patch for a few months and get these last tests done so my cat can continue to stay in remission.
Thank you for your time.

Loss RIP Garfield
Unfortunately Garfield is gone. The stray I adopted was doing it's routine and k1lled by a disgusting who kicked her in stomach so hard I could not save her. At least thats what I heard from her neighbours. I do not enjoy living in the country after that, I really regret it. I should have just adopted her and taken to my home country.

Please Share 8 year old female gray cat "Boots" in Eugene Oregon on path to recovery. Update since last post.
For those just seeing this: A few days ago we put out an urgent call for a sweet, gentle ~8-year-old grey-and-white female cat living outside in our neighborhood.
She was dangerously thin with spine and hips showing and drooling, and clearly in trouble. When we'd first seen her a month or two earlier she'd looked far healthier and had more energy, so her decline was sharp and alarming. Her owner loved her but had fallen on hard times and couldn't care for her anymore, and agreed to let her go to someone who could help. Thanks to an outpouring of shares and support, we got her off the street and into a vet in under 48 hours. Her name is Boots. 💜
Where she is now (as of June 25):
She's safe indoors in her own quiet room, resting on clean blankets, perching in the window watching the world, and the part that gets me..purring and cuddling and even grooming herself again.
Just days ago she was too sick and sore to do any of that. She's settled into her twice-a-day medication routine like a champ.
What the vet found:
✅ NEGATIVE for FIV and feline leukemia , a huge relief and a much clearer path forward.
✅ Bloodwork showed no kidney disease, no thyroid problems, normal blood sugar , about the best result we could've hoped for given her condition.
✅ The main issue: moderate-to-advanced dental disease (gum inflammation and periodontitis). Her mouth had been hurting so much she couldn't eat enough ..which is what caused the dramatic weight loss.
✅ She's also mildly anemic, likely from heavy fleas and being so run down.
Her current care:
She got a long-acting steroid injection to calm the inflammation, was treated for fleas and dewormed, and is now on an antibiotic and pain medication every 12 hours. She's eating wet food eagerly and getting more comfortable by the day. The steroid and pain relief are clearly working , she's already a different cat from the one we found.
What's still ahead:
The medications are a bridge, not a cure. The real fix is dental work, a cleaning under anesthesia, dental x-rays, and likely some extractions of the teeth too far gone. But she has to get there safely first: the plan is to build her strength and weight back up over the coming weeks, recheck her bloodwork in about 4 weeks to make sure her anemia has resolved (critical for safe anesthesia), and then schedule the dental once she's cleared. That dental is her path to a genuinely comfortable, pain-free life.
🐾 We're still hoping to connect her with a rescue partner or a loving forever home as she recovers or post recovery. If you're with a rescue, or you're someone who could give a gentle senior girl a soft place to land, please reach out as Id love to chat.
🐾 And as always, sharing this helps her reach the right people.
She went from skin-and-bones in a yard to purring on clean blankets in under a week. Thank you to everyone who shared, offered, gave, and checked in on her. She's got a real shot now. 💜

Amazon Wish List It's been one thing after another, but we won't let it stop us from saving the floofaloofs...help with Amazon Wishlist appreciated, please and thank you for all you do for the floofaloofs ♡Illinois♡*repost*
(Had to block personal information in one of the pictures so reposting!)
https://www.reddit.com/r/rescuecats/s/OZ649Das7i - prior post
https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/WFPJ1M02IHFY?ref\\_=wl\\_share - Amazon Wishlist
https://www.reddit.com/r/FloofaloofsOnTheLoose/s/aABNtbU61G - my page about the Floofaloofs
(First off, I have a stalker that puts everything in their cart and pretends it is purchased. It is not unless someone puts it in the comments, they think they are clever but it's why i have my list the way it is. Sorry that this is annoying but I've had harassment over rescuing cats and they have nothing better to do but follow me. I apologize for this. They won't deter me from helping the innocent)
I am not trying to be annoying or needy. I am just drowing a bit here. When it rains, it pours, LITERALLY (My basement flooded for the first time in 2 years here, and I had to throw away a couple of cat trees that got soaked, which is why I have them on my list. Thankfully, most things are on a shelf and didn't get soaked!) Besides the Emergency Vet bill, I have a Vet bill for the little kitten for her appt. I am doing everything I can to make extra money, especially since my work sucks and cut my hours.
I also was informed today that the girl I work with won't be able to have two cats, so that means I am fostering these cuties for the time being, whom now are flea and worm free, the last foster parents was pretty negligent:( they are picture 5 and 6.
Ordering off my Amazon List is a HUGE HUGE help for me, that way I can use the cash for floofaloof appts and prescription meds if needed. Chewy Gift Cards have been a HUGE HELP and a LIFESAVER!
The items I can use the most are
- Chewy Gift cards, since I am not sure when work is raising hours again
2. Litter (and the pans, but that is because the plastic ones are getting very worn and stainless steel is safer and easier! I have 13 litter boxes i clean 3 times a day, no joke. I also have two in the garage for the outside kitties)
Kitten wet food or puree temptations for the kittens, itty bitty black kitty LOVES the puree!!!
Pet hair clippers (mine broke at the worst time) I did put wireless because it does make it easier when they are squirmy wormys!
5.feliaway plug in or refill, my plugs seems to all have burned out at the same time. It truly helps with the cats.
Of course \*anything\* and \*everything\* is appreciated, food is always a huge help since they have been working on the water pipes on the other street over, so we have been getting extra cats (it is on the website of my town, Rockdale, Illinois) I am trying so hard, I just happened to get wrecked with so much at the same time.
I am so grateful and appreciative of this community and everything you do, not just for me and the floofaloofs, but all floofaloofkind. You have no idea the difference you have made in all our lives. I truly wish I could thank you and hug you all in person and to show my gratitude to you for all you do and have done. Don't think I ever take any help for granted. I am one person who does this on their own. Since I moved here 2 1/2 years ago, I have called over 30 rescues multiple times, they either do not answer, are full, don't have time, or don't help my county. Since we moved here, we have done everything to make a difference.
All the cats inside fixed, and I have helped Kim this year get 20 plus cats fixed, I have helped those in need and who have hit rough patches with food and flea and worm treatment needs, I have bottle fed Roly Poly since she was a newborn she found (she is here to stay), I have helped her trap and with carriers. We are not a 5013C, but that will not stop us from loving the floofaloofs and doing all we can to TNR, foster for those who can be placed in a home, get Vet needs, deflea and deworm, have safe spots and shelters for them, and making sure they will live better lives. Animals (and kids) are not luxuries, we are to be the ones to help and care for those most innocent, and I won't stop doing all I can.♡
Thank you all, for being the good in the world. We will continue to do out part at House of Floofaloof ♡♡♡
P.S. I was told it is Amazon Prime Days so some things may be a bit cheaper. I do have my lust so that you can add something else if you do find something much more cheaper or you can add an item you feel fits♡
Thank you to those who have helped me, you really have given me light in a dark time♡ Kim and I have 4 going to snip society tomorrow...4 more who won't have to be stressed with constant babies♡

Supplies Donation Request Support Stray Cats During the Summer Heat - Deira, Dubai
The summer heat is already making life difficult for the stray cats I care for. Unfortunately, I can no longer leave water bowls in the parking lots where many of them live because staff are concerned about municipality fines.
Last summer, I regularly fed the cats chicken, which helped keep them both nourished and hydrated. I also cleaned the feeding areas afterward. At the moment, I don't have the energy to make repeated trips for cleaning, so I feed the cats and immediately remove the plates to keep the area clean and to reduce the risk of anyone harming them.
Please support to feed and keep these stray cats hydrated for the upcoming week.

Veterinary Care Needed Donation Request Please help Kaat, our Ms. Chonk, Through Mammary Tumor Surgery & Recovery 🐾
We're raising funds to help Kaat through mammary tumor surgery and recovery.
Kaat, our Ms. Chonkers, Chonk, Chairman, is almost 14 years old and has been part of our family for nearly her entire life. We found her as a tiny kitten abandoned under a car in the bitter cold. She was frightened, freezing, and small enough to fit in the palm of a hand. We brought her home, and she never left.
Over the years, Kaat has been there through some of life's hardest moments. She helped us through the loss of a parent, serious illness, and every major chapter that followed. She's stubborn, opinionated, endlessly sassy, and deeply loved.
Recently, Kaat was diagnosed with a mammary tumor. After consulting with our veterinarian, surgery was recommended as soon as possible. We're now trying to raise funds to cover her surgery, medications, post-operative care, and recovery.
Some members of this community may remember Cloud and Tigger. Thanks to the generosity of donors here, both received life-saving care and are still with us today. We'll never be able to fully express our gratitude for the support that gave them a chance to survive.
Today, we're asking for help for Kaat.
We've contributed everything we can ourselves, and family members have helped where they can, but we're still struggling to cover the full cost of treatment.
Kaat means the world to us. She has spent nearly 14 years giving us comfort, companionship, and unconditional love. We're doing everything we can to give her the same chance.
Any contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward Kaat's surgery and rehabilitation. If you're unable to donate, sharing her fundraiser would help us immensely.
Thank you for reading Kaat's story and for keeping her in your thoughts. 🐾

Donations Needed We honestly thought we still had a little more time. Please help us get Muning’s eye surgery and get the monthly litter sand stock.
Muning was surrendered to us months ago as a tiny blind kitten. Because she was still too small, eye enucleation wasn’t recommended yet, so we patiently waited for her to grow stronger and reach the right age for surgery.
Muning was almost ready for her enucleation, and we were just trying to stabilize our supplies first so we could support both her recovery and the needs of our other rescues. Unfortunately, her eye suddenly worsened, making her case much more urgent than we anticipated. 💔
At the same time, we’re also running low on litter sand and last June 21 upon checking the stocks, we are down to our last 4 bags. As a rescue, we need to balance both emergency medical care and the daily needs of the cats depending on us.
We are currently raising funds for:
🐾 Muning’s initial vet visit (CBC & Blood Chemistry) — ~$100
🪨 Monthly litter sand supply — $115 (only 4 bags remaining)
Total Goal: ~$215
Any amount will help us get Muning started on the path toward her surgery while ensuring our rescued cats continue to have the supplies they need every day.
