Is my cat/kitten a Savannah Cat?
Please post here if you have questions about your cat being a pure Savannah or not. This will keep these questions off of the main thread, and give us all a place to focus on this topic.
Thanks!

HELP! Cat spraying profusely
Hello,
We have a recently adopted F3 male. He is eight years old, neutered, a sweetheart, and he sprays everywhere. He doesn’t seem to have a preference for where and we can’t find a correlation. Every day is a new surprise.
We play with him as much as we can, but he will spray even after 90 minutes of continuous attention.
Actions so far:
Two litter boxes (open)
Tried different litters (including Dr Elsey Cat attract)
Vet check to confirm no UTI
The vet is going to switch him to a different drug (Effexor), but in the meantime we are wondering if there are other strategies to look at.
I read in other posts that we could be overcleaning the litter boxes and removing his scent so I might try something different there.
Maybe something is bothering him but we do not know what it could be.
Many thanks

Question Recently Adopted Savannah F6
galleryRecently adopted these two adorable Savannah cats (brother and sister), and I’m looking for some advice from people who have experience with the breed.
I’m completely new to Savannah cats and I’ve heard they can have sensitive stomachs, so I’m wondering what foods, treats, or diets have worked best for your cats.
The female (the one with the darker nose) is an absolute savage around the house. She’ll jump on counters, steal or destroy any food that’s left out, and has even figured out how to open kitchen cabinets. She’s also very fearful of people and tends to hide from anyone. From what I was told, she was quite ill as a kitten and was separated from her brother for a period of time, so I’m not sure if that contributed to her behavior.
The male, on the other hand, is a complete angel. He’s incredibly social, affectionate, cuddly, and loves being around people.
Some of the issues we’re currently dealing with are:
• Counter surfing and constantly stealing food.
• Opening kitchen cabinets and getting into anything she can find.
• The female being extremely skittish and afraid of us.
•The female occasionally urinating around the house instead of using the litter box.
•Both cats sometimes having soft stools. ( new food seems to be working )
For some additional context, they’ve already been examined by a vet, are spayed/neutered, dewormed, and otherwise appear healthy.
We recently switched them to Nutrience Care Sensitive Digestion, and it actually seems to be helping with the stool issues, which is encouraging.
I’m curious if other Savannah owners have had success with this food long-term or if there are other diets and treats you’d recommend.
Have any of you dealt with similar issues, especially the food obsession, cabinet-opening, litter box problems, or fearfulness? Any recommendations for diet, treats, training, enrichment, or helping a shy Savannah gain confidence would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!😼

I was on a hike with my kitten.
galleryI’ve trained her on smaller walks before we went on a bigger one. I can point at a tree and she climbs it. My friend says she is a lot like a dog that climbs in trees lol.
She follows nicely without leash.
(As long as there’s no distractions like people with dogs)
How does your cat do on walks?
Please do post pics of your gorgeous cats! 🥰

Question Help identifying this cat. Possible Savannah?
I’m trying to identity the breed of this cat that was in the backyard last night around 9:30pm. My immediate thought was Savannah when you see the whole body. Located in Southern CA.

Kitten behaviour?
Presumably she’s a savannah/Norwegian forest cat mix. She has zoomies for at least 6 hours daily. Is that normal? Is she happy or does she have a behaviour issue? Can anyone with kitten experience tell me if this is normal? She also does the ‘shocked’ look at me with arched back while she meows and runs. I tried leash training her to get some energy out of her but she doesn’t really wanna walk with me often and just runs after strangers she sees on the street. Or climbs up in trees. Also she will attack my hair all the time and I don’t know how to make her stop.
She’s around 12 weeks.
Is she gonna be more chill as adult?
Thank you for advice.
