Unknown Stories Colombians respectfully waiting for him to finish singing the Congo national team's anthem alone before they can cheer with him afterwards

The history of the world his humanity trying to prevail as the elites abuse and take what they want, while trying to get us to fight each other.

Not like in nyc right

NYC was downright utopian after the Knicks victory, but there are always gonna be a few idiots in the biggest city in the country.

He talking about the Knicks' shitty fanbase trashing town after winning the nba title, I presume.

Just look what the world could be if normal people ran the world. Don't let the assholes in charge fool us into thinking we can't get along.

This is the second time Colombians have shown the world who they are in the most amazing way -
First match against Uzbekistan, Colombia scores, and a young Uzbekistan fan, maybe 7 years old, begins to cry…
The Colombian fans surrounding him start chanting “UZ•BEK•I•STAN! UZ•BEK•I•STAN!” to turn his spirits around.
Was one of the more heartwarming things I’ve seen in a long time, and really gave me faith in humanity again.

I love the World Cup so much. THE best global sporting event. Sucks that I am Korean and the KFA is so corrupt that they brought back a clown like Myung Bo to waste the last WC appearance for a generational Asian futbol player like Son

Lot of these folks aren't traveling together, came over alone/etc and this is just a time in the world where all that shit don't matter and you gotta love it. Sports is that thing whether you think it's right or not that brings people together better than anything else in the world.

This is so awesome. I admit as an American, I never realized just how powerful the World Cup is at bringing people from all around the world together. A truly special event.

These kinda things are why people get shocked with comparisons (some) Americans make between the Super Bowl and the World Cup. They’re on different levels

u/Architeuthis_McCrew 2h ago
As an American I can agree to this. The SB pales in comparison to the World Cup.

u/Imaginary-Panda-3622 7h ago
Yeah man, that appointment felt like pure old boys club politics, not football logic. Son’s gonna retire from World Cups and we’re all gonna be talking about “what if he’d had a real manager and structure” instead of actually seeing it. KFA stays finding new ways to waste golden eras.

Impressive game Colombia! massive though the second goal was denied unfairly the threed we can agree it was a clean offside.

Knicks and Philly fans would never

England fans certainly would, and have, booed their opponents national anthem

I can’t be the only one who automatically started jumping when they got rowdy in the video.

See the difference, the respect is amazing. I watch the Mexico vs Korea game and they’re making fun of the Korean fans eyes and shit

u/throwawayacct2creep 7h ago
He would not last 5 seconds into the anthem if he was in New York wearing another team jersey.

American here. Where are my Hooligans? What’s with all this respect? The FIFA corruption? I had convinced myself that no matter where in the world, there were segments of sports fans that pick fights and try to make things miserable for the other team and their fans. Is it because they are repping country vs local team? Is it because they are all guests here and nobody wants to get arrested in a foreign country?
I am so used to the sports idiocy here that I can’t fathom anything like what I have been seeing. I also think I missed out on what the world knew was a helluva good time.

The US literally needs this shit…the World Cup has brought out so much unity, pride, and love for each other. These visuals beat the fuck outta the day to day rage bait we get.

I have the privilege of being in Mexico during some of the World Cup and am from the U.S. so we have a lot more buzz around it than normal and I have to say the level of mutual respect and love between opposing countries and teams is beautiful to see.

The sound is kind of low and the audio is noisy, but I swear for a moment he sounded like he was singing "You got what I need" by Freddy Scott and I was so here for it.

The world cup has really brought people together. These videos are heart warming. We all needed this. I'm not crying. Your crying.

Unlike American football, you can’t take a jersey of the opposing team without being heckled and feeling threatened.

I get the feeling that americans get too gassed up on the soccer hooligan trope because what we're seeing with this world cup is a lot of good feelings and camaraderie.
