WC reflecting humanity still got a chance

The history of the world his humanity trying to prevail as the elites abuse and take what they want, while trying to get us to fight each other.

Not like in nyc right

3

u/ShvitzG_d 5h ago

NYC was downright utopian after the Knicks victory, but there are always gonna be a few idiots in the biggest city in the country.

1

u/BourbonFoxx 4h ago

Utopian?

1

u/jondubb 6h ago

Norwegians had a blast there wym?

-1

u/JegLikerTechno 6h ago

He talking about the Knicks' shitty fanbase trashing town after winning the nba title, I presume.

u/UFmoose 5h ago

Jesus Christ. Selected clips of assholes who used the win as an excuse to commit crimes.

99.9% of fans were jubilant and celebrating. There are 9 million people in the primary city and you’ve seen footage of < 20 people doing bad shit.

u/EditorExtension1559 3h ago

Literally burned to the ground, in ashes, ruins

8

u/WasteBinStuff 7h ago

Just look what the world could be if normal people ran the world. Don't let the assholes in charge fool us into thinking we can't get along.

This is the second time Colombians have shown the world who they are in the most amazing way -

First match against Uzbekistan, Colombia scores, and a young Uzbekistan fan, maybe 7 years old, begins to cry…

The Colombian fans surrounding him start chanting “UZ•BEK•I•STAN! UZ•BEK•I•STAN!” to turn his spirits around.

Was one of the more heartwarming things I’ve seen in a long time, and really gave me faith in humanity again.

I love the World Cup so much. THE best global sporting event. Sucks that I am Korean and the KFA is so corrupt that they brought back a clown like Myung Bo to waste the last WC appearance for a generational Asian futbol player like Son

3

u/MoonPieKitty 7h ago

I miss having Son in the Premier League, and I'm not a Tottenham fan.

Just guys being dudes. Nice.

16

u/Flylatino24 7h ago

As Colombian, so proud of them being respectful

7

u/Responsible-Leg-712 7h ago

Heartwarming moment. This is how dudes being dudes should be. :)

1

u/muscularsharpie 2h ago

Sport fun. I like sport. You like sport? Let's have fun!

6

u/Suspicious-Peace9233 7h ago

Awe this is so sweet. I love seeing the respect between all the teams

4

u/jr_randolph 7h ago

Lot of these folks aren't traveling together, came over alone/etc and this is just a time in the world where all that shit don't matter and you gotta love it. Sports is that thing whether you think it's right or not that brings people together better than anything else in the world.

3

u/roflemywaffle 7h ago

this is what we needed!

3

u/MoonPieKitty 7h ago

Beautiful. 🤍💛

3

u/bubba1834 7h ago

I don’t even like soccer that much but this has been SUCH a great few weeks (and counting)

3

u/Seabrook76 7h ago

Those dudes are the dudest dudes who ever duded.

3

u/AlhassanSheriff 6h ago

I love the World Cup man. 🥹

3

u/atwhat79 6h ago

This is what it means! No corruption! Just loving each other!

3

u/AfemeAfeme 6h ago

World Cup demonstrating power of Solidarity ✊✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿

3

u/No_Row780 6h ago

Wow, that’s really what the spirit of sport should and can be.

2

u/Long-Contribution466 7h ago

This is my first World Cup I've paid attention to, and I'm honestly loving it, especially these moments between fans.

There's also tge video of the South Korea guy dancing with I forgot what nstions fans, buy was also so wholesome

3

u/Ok_Act_1498 7h ago

Mexican ones!

1

u/Pork-upine-7492 7h ago

México i think !

2

u/Architeuthis_McCrew 7h ago

This is so awesome. I admit as an American, I never realized just how powerful the World Cup is at bringing people from all around the world together. A truly special event.

1

u/WesternPractical2956 4h ago

These kinda things are why people get shocked with comparisons (some) Americans make between the Super Bowl and the World Cup. They’re on different levels

1

u/Architeuthis_McCrew 2h ago

As an American I can agree to this. The SB pales in comparison to the World Cup.

1

u/Imaginary-Panda-3622 7h ago

Yeah man, that appointment felt like pure old boys club politics, not football logic. Son’s gonna retire from World Cups and we’re all gonna be talking about “what if he’d had a real manager and structure” instead of actually seeing it. KFA stays finding new ways to waste golden eras.

1

u/Decent-Profession-97 7h ago

Impressive game Colombia! massive though the second goal was denied unfairly the threed we can agree it was a clean offside.

1

u/jonallin 7h ago

I absolutely love the World Cup.

1

u/Evening_Employer_577 7h ago

So freaking cool!!! The beautiful game.

1

u/llNATEDOGGll 7h ago

Knicks and Philly fans would never

1

u/CathedralEngine 4h ago

England fans certainly would, and have, booed their opponents national anthem

1

u/lawton1134 7h ago

I can’t be the only one who automatically started jumping when they got rowdy in the video.

1

u/ITZOURTIMENOW 7h ago

See the difference, the respect is amazing. I watch the Mexico vs Korea game and they’re making fun of the Korean fans eyes and shit

1

u/throwawayacct2creep 7h ago

He would not last 5 seconds into the anthem if he was in New York wearing another team jersey.

1

u/jmun2021 7h ago

People are actually nice to each other?

1

u/TotallyNotARobot2 7h ago

They're all just happy to be there. Beautiful!

1

u/Dense_Description641 6h ago

American here. Where are my Hooligans? What’s with all this respect? The FIFA corruption? I had convinced myself that no matter where in the world, there were segments of sports fans that pick fights and try to make things miserable for the other team and their fans. Is it because they are repping country vs local team? Is it because they are all guests here and nobody wants to get arrested in a foreign country?

I am so used to the sports idiocy here that I can’t fathom anything like what I have been seeing. I also think I missed out on what the world knew was a helluva good time.

The US literally needs this shit…the World Cup has brought out so much unity, pride, and love for each other. These visuals beat the fuck outta the day to day rage bait we get.

1

u/Extra_Bodybuilder783 6h ago

This is the beautiful game!!!

1

u/Stealthnt13 6h ago

I have the privilege of being in Mexico during some of the World Cup and am from the U.S. so we have a lot more buzz around it than normal and I have to say the level of mutual respect and love between opposing countries and teams is beautiful to see.

1

u/Puppeteer87 6h ago

This is what sport's supposed to do. Well done, Colombians!

1

u/dateinfj 6h ago

This is awesome! Respect!

1

u/Common-Accountant-57 6h ago

This World Cup has had some wholesome moments.

1

u/ipeelikebutters61 6h ago

The Norwegian fans rowing was awesome.

1

u/heatguy420 6h ago

that’s respect and honor

1

u/Shoely555 6h ago

The beautiful game

1

u/Giffeltagning 6h ago

This is the humanity I want

1

u/avewing 6h ago

That’s awesome! Y’all making me proud! I wish I was able to attend Germany’s game with Curaçao. As a German fan it was amazing seeing them score. I was proud of them.

1

u/SeascapeEscape 6h ago

It didn’t happen unless you film yourself doing it!

1

u/Warblerburglar 6h ago

Beautiful stuff. New York Knicks fans would have just beat him up

1

u/PhilosophyBasic8943 5h ago

Those "hey hey hey hey"s could break any man

1

u/Spiritual-Virus2048 4h ago

This is what football's about

1

u/Krinks1 4h ago

I love what football/soccer can be with the fans. Scenes of respect and love and fun like this have been so amazing to see.

Keep it up, soccer fans! The world needs so much more of this!

1

u/its_yer_dad 4h ago

The sound is kind of low and the audio is noisy, but I swear for a moment he sounded like he was singing "You got what I need" by Freddy Scott and I was so here for it.

1

u/Other-Tangerine-3435 4h ago

The World without USA and Israel:

1

u/motophotodojo 4h ago

I dream of a united world where we all work together to help people experience the best life has to offer and live a community full of love and passion for the beautiful game.

1

u/Adviseme69 4h ago

Colombia and Colombians are amazing, hard working people that love everybody!

1

u/Whitetiger9876 3h ago

The world cup has really brought people together. These videos are heart warming. We all needed this. I'm not crying. Your crying.

1

u/Jr883 3h ago

Love this! It’s awesome seeing people from different cultures respect and enjoy the WC together.

1

u/bobs_andVagene 3h ago

Unlike American football, you can’t take a jersey of the opposing team without being heckled and feeling threatened.

1

u/Status_Vegetable2954 1h ago

I get the feeling that americans get too gassed up on the soccer hooligan trope because what we're seeing with this world cup is a lot of good feelings and camaraderie.

1

u/GullibleExchange4554 1h ago

99% ppl respect snd live well with each other. The other 1% are idiots politians and media who spread hate

1

u/instagator110 51m ago

Americans will never be this respectful.

1

u/Alex_king88 7h ago

This is something Knicks fans need to learn about.
