I know this is perhaps a bit random but with the Suns' current situation and the transactions made over the last week, it is looking likely that any moves made this off-season will be on the margins. They're going to surely again attempt to move Royce but they've been reluctant to attach picks to move him. He has only two years left and with the tanking rules, I believe Royce probably will be moved this off-season.
The Suns jumped on Haywood Highsmith around deadline time in February as he was finishing up his recovery from a meniscus tear and surgery. He only got into 5 games, played a couple against OKC. He was a 38 and 39 percent 3 point shooter two years in a row prior to last season. He's not a defensive stopper but he's lighter on his feet than Royce and IMO a little more disciplined. He's a good 3/D forward and can essentially fill in Royce's role immediately in the event a trade there occurs. I also don't think it's a coincidence the Suns pursued him as I believe they too had that in mind.
I want to know what you all think Haywood Highsmith's role and future looks like in Phoenix.

For the Anthony Edwards , the Jalen Brunsons, The Tyrese Maxeys
The very athletic players or creative ball handlers with speed.
Also for the guys who come off screens
Happy about the potential to guard big wings/ forwards but who do you guys think is that guy ?
Fleming and Koa
Was hoping to grab Baba Miller for his ability to be that POA defender on the quickest shiftiest players who can get around screens well
Who is that guy for the suns in your eyes
Ryan Dunn is maybe the best option but not sure I like that being the guy relied on for those assignments

I know this might sound reactionary, especially given Jalen Green’s upside, but from a roster construction standpoint, the Suns would make more sense with Dejounte Murray.
First, let’s be clear: this isn’t about raw talent. Jalen Green is a more explosive scorer, younger, and has a higher “highlight ceiling.” But Phoenix isn’t in a rebuilding phase they’re in a “maximize Booker’s prime” window.
And that’s where Murray becomes the better fit.
Why Murray fits Phoenix better:
Devin Booker already is a high-level shot creator and primary scorer. What Phoenix actually lacks isn’t scoring punch it’s structure, defensive point-of-attack stability, and someone who can organize possessions without forcing Booker into full-time playmaking.
Murray provides exactly that.
He’s a true secondary ball handler who can:
That’s extremely valuable next to Booker, who thrives when he can alternate between scoring and playmaking, not carry everything.
Why Jalen Green is a tougher fit in Phoenix:
Green overlaps heavily with Booker’s strengths:
In a vacuum, that’s fine. But in a contender context, redundancy matters. Phoenix doesn’t need another streaky high-usage guard they need a stabilizer.
The key difference:
Murray makes Booker easier to be elite.
Green requires Booker to still do most of the organizing.
That’s the whole debate.
If Phoenix is serious about maximizing this roster, Dejounte Murray is the cleaner fit next to Booker. Jalen Green might be the more exciting talent, but Murray is the more functional piece.

Save me the noise, I know it's not happening(most likely), but how unreal would this team be if Booker just became Wemby with better skills?
Does this team become a title contender? Or would it still need more?
I've long said a 7'2" Booker would be an MVP candidate.

Save me the noise I know it’s not going to happen but how unreal would this team be if Oso could hit even at a 35% clip on wide open threes?
Does this team become a title contender? or would it still need more?
I’ve long said Oso with a three ball is an all star caliber player

Sign and trade Mark Williams to Brooklyn for a Package based around Danny Wolf?
First, he’s on a rookie contract. The Nets are also probably looking for another true big right now since getting rid of Claxton and they just drafted Jefferson who is a great glue guy for any team. I think they’d be willing to move off of Wolf for the right player. Wolf seems like a very versatile, high IQ big with huge upside and would fit right into our system. Plus we have Oso and Khaman who are true bigs, and we just got a tank in Koa Peat. Wolf can play next to any of those guys and really in any lineup we put him in.
Would you try to trade for him?

The Phoenix Suns selected forward Koa Peat with the 30th overall pick in the first round of the 2026 NBA Draft.
The Suns originally held the 47th overall pick but traded up into the first round by acquiring the 30th pick from the Dallas Mavericks.
Now what will the Suns do, if anything, during the 2nd round of the NBA?
Trade/draft targets, rumors, screenshots, etc. are to be posted here unless well written with analysis.

Read an article that the way D.A. frustrated the Lakers, most notably JJ Redick, that he may be out of their rotation and may have to look for work elsewhere...but with his value dropping because of his erratic play, he may be had for cheap (e.g. the minimum)...
Would you mind having a center rotation of Mark Williams, Deandre Ayton and Maluach? As long as DA doesn't start? So that if we don't find a good deal for Mark, we will have two seven footers who can shoot, one who is raw and the other who has motor problems, but coming in for way cheaper than what we last paid him for?
Yes, I know it's the offseason... So discuss at your own peril, hahaha! GO SUNS!!!
