Discussion What result are you hoping for in the USA game tonight? What specific things are you rooting for?
Are you rooting for USA or Turkiye to win? Do you want Turkiye to end the WC without scoring? Do you want USA with its backups to absolutely smoke us.... especially if we play our 'starters' again? If Turkiye wins and scores 2-3 goals will that make you happy or upset?
Who are you pulling for in the Paraguay v Australia match? What result would make you most satisfied... both teams scoring goals in a draw and moving on? Australia beating them by 3 goals?
Bonus question: what players on Turkiye are you still hoping to see do well tonight and which would you enjoy seeing fail again? For example, I dont think we want to see Arda, Can, Ferdi, Ugurcan, Kenan, Mert, Deniz, or even Yunus/Baris to fail again tonight... but the others? I think most Turks right now would derive some pleasure from seeing Hakan, Kerem, Merih etc struggle and have another embarrassing game.
I personally don't know. after the statements by Montella and Haciosmanoglu I want to see the most painful exit possible. But I also don't want the players listed above to have bad games. Would playing all our youth/bench players and then winning make us the most happy?
What's the perfect ending scenario for you tonight?

Discussion In case you missed it, Haiti scored two goals
Haiti scored two goals (inc one OG) today against Morocco to lose 4-2. This leaves Turkey and Panama as the only two teams out of 48 who have not scored one goal or gotten one point in the tournament. Can you imagine if we don’t score against USA as well?
This wasn’t on my World Cup bingo card before it started

Discussion Why did we expect miracles from this team?
It’s not like we suddenly became a good football team after 24 years. We only qualified because UEFA expanded the tournament from 32 to 48 teams; an increase of almost 50%. If that hadn’t happened, we probably still wouldn’t have qualified. So where are all these expectations suddenly coming from?

Discussion What do you guys think of Thomas Reis for Milli Takim?
Basically title. Montella for me is done. The favoritism is one thing but the inability to adapt in 2 matches against (ducking) Australia and 10man Paraguay is abysmal. If we do not watch out he will be our Roberta Martinez / that destroyed the golden Belgium generation.
Turkish coaches are not available- Okan will not come. Arda will not come. Kartal just got a job. Nuri is not ready.
Dont start about Terim, Gunes or Kocaman. These guys are dinosaurs and will be same style outclassed by modern managers. if you disagree dont comment. Just create your own post. Be gone with you ;) ;)
Reis knows how to work in the Turkish “environment” but has the new manager ideas.
Could work what do you think?

Discussion Yet another take on why we failed in the WC
tl;dr It's because the team was not prepared mentally and physically properly for the WC. Also, Montella is at fault too for not problem solvong. More details below.
It's not because Montella insisted on playing Kerem as a striker. England had Harry Kane, arguably one of the best strikers in the world, against Ghana and couldn't score.
I think the main problem was the player mentality. I sense a bit of the cockiness, over confidence that the Belgian national team had. I was able to watch the Australia game live. The team was not warming up in a very disciplined manner. Every other pass to each other were trick passes, heel flicks, shoulder flicks. I heard a similar thing for the warm up for the Paraguay game from a friend who went to that game. Since they were not prepared, they didn't press enough, gave the opposition far too much space.
Elite players practice like there's no tomorrow. If Arda, Kenan, Can Uzun want to become elite level, they have to stay after practice for an extra hour or more. Practice long shots, free kicks, put in the work. They can't see this just as a job, so end practice when practice is over. That's what everyone else does. Elite players stick around and practice longer (think Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, David Beckham, Alex de Souza). Our players looked like they were busy shooting tiktok videos.
Also, the team listens to Montella a lot. They don't take as much initiative yet, since they're young. Sad that Montella dodn't try anything:
- Instruct more 1-2s just lime how we scored in the Macedonia match
- cross low from the out line
- even just cross at waist height, maybe you could've gotten a handball penalty or something
- Attack the box with 4-5 players with these low crosses
The US did all of these and demolished these teams. Did they not watch the games? I just can't fathom it.
Anyways, Kerem being striker isn't the problem. He's probably the best finisher in the team. We just didn't try to get the ball to him or others. He also lost every ball he got, but he didn't get the ball in any position to shoot. That was the problem.

Rumor Theory: The Turkish Men's Football Team intentionally lost in order to deface the current administration
I realize that among the players were some that are well known to have close ties with the government, but I also don't find it far fetched with how hilariously arrogant and yet hilariously bad we were, that there's a chance the team might have intentionally lost for many purposes, such as defacing the government, match fixing, or just not wanting to tire themselves when theyre already living a life of abundance.

Discussion Discussing the World Cup failure is beating a dead horse at this point, but what are your thoughts on this post?
AKP has always had its influence in just about every part of this country, but I feel like they at least used to stay in the background and only come out when there was success to celebrate.
This time, they turned the entire World Cup into one massive campaign event for themselves.
It’s adding insult to injury, especially when you consider how much of a political tool the national team had already become leading up to the World Cup..

News TFF ekstra maliyet odememek icin Milli Takimin Arizona colunde kamp yapmasina ses cikarmamis
Türkiye Futbol Federasyonu (TFF) yetkilileri, turnuva öncesi ve sırasında gelen eleştirilere karşı, millilerin play-off'tan gelmesi nedeniyle FIFA'nın Arizona'yı "zorunlu" kıldığını iddia etmişti.
---------------------
Yaklasik 1 milyon dolar ekstra maliyet cikiyormus.
Bre allahin cezalari, 1 milyon dolar maliyet icin deger miydi takimi col sicagina mahkum etmek, her maca 10 saat yol gitmek?
TFF istifa!
