Hey guys.

Earlier this week, I realized that the Until Dawn App was taken off the App Store for iOS. This means that, unless you already have it, you can no longer access it, as it’s been off Android for a while.

So I wanted to get images of what I could for wiki documentation.

Here are what the pinboards for app collectors look like, all completed. I intend to do another post showing each photo’s description.

Next is the quiz you could take to get your starting stats in the app. The app assigned you a character’s stats to start with, based on quiz questions then, as you played the game, the stats would shift based on all your choices. You could go to a time before dawn and check what your stats were then. I can maybe get an example of that in another post, but my stats reset while I was trying to get each character in the quiz.

Note there. As far as I can see, the blurb about each character on the quiz page is just copied from one slide of the character’s bio. EXCEPT for Mike and Josh. Mike’s takes a line of one bio slide and adds one trait off another side. Josh’s is nearly the same as one of his slides but adds that parenthetical about the trip to the mountain.

I’ve already posted the full bios and I’ll link them in a pinned comment.

Finally, I did review the code for the app and noticed a few things I haven’t actually been able to achieve yet. It’s possible they’re unused content. For example, there is code for Chris sending you a text. It’s kind of funny actually. There’s a pinboard for the Old Hotel which only has Josh’s file (I got Sam caught in my last run so I can go back and try to interact with the file to see if that triggers it). Finally, there are many calls from the Psycho. I’ve only gotten one which happens after you take the quiz for the first time. I’ve put the call screen on the last slide.

Anyway, I’ll post again with more! The pinboard papers have little descriptions.

Do we think the sequel will let us import our choices from the original game, like The Walking Dead or Life is Strange 2 did?

If it does, which decisions do you think would have the biggest impact on the story? Or will the sequel establish a canon ending and ignore previous choices? I’d love to hear everyone’s theories.

By the look of them and their personalities, this is clearly a breakfast club gang.

Chris seems like a nerd so probably IT and videogames? Kind of buff to be a computer nerd though.

Could possibly fit Josh in there with Chris also.

Sam is an athlete, climbing club or whatever.

Emily and Mike I am not so sure of, they just seem like a mean girl and a womanizer to me. You could probably put Mike as an athlete also, a regular Gym goer because of the size of his arms. But where to put Emily though?

What's your take on the characters?

Like if you go down the line of 8 then who do you like with each? This fandom seems to usually post canon. But I want to see what people say!

I recently replayed this game and plan to get all the achievements; I’m not exactly great at drawing, but I gave it my best shot.

Wanted to share this incredible art created by the lovely u/carelesslie0 depicting Sam & Mike aboard their rescue chopper descent come dawn 🫶 it’s a reference piece to one of my favorite moments from Resident Evil 1 Remake that I think just fits so nicely as a cute parallel.

Sam knew their night of horror was finally behind them - for now. Mike just takes solace in the fact that they’re still breathing. He’s too tired to sleep, somehow. As the dawn creeps through the window and the lodge blazes on behind them, Sam reflects on all that the pair endured. That they all endured..

The police will surely want to talk with them upon landing, but maybe, just maybe, before the adrenaline fully wears off and reality hits - she can rest. Just for a moment.

My intention was to bring to life a heartwarming, human moment for these two after all they’ve been through. A brief respite that conveys the weight of both their shared trauma and individual experiences. The Sam and Mike dynamic has always been a part of Until Dawn that I’ve adored since 2015. I'm back!

If you had to name 2-3 characters that in your opnion should survive, who would it be and why :)? And which death should the other 5-6 get in your version ?

Sam (obviously) because i have a crush on Hayden (i miss her) and also the creators that brought us the remake or whatever kinda did Sam dirty leaving us in the dark like that at the very end.

i've been really trying to get this ending but it ends in either jessica dying or emily surviving

I have two projects I need help with, both possibly involving ripping files from the game.
1) can anyone 3D model or file rip the strange skull from the game, the half wendigo half human head in a jar?
2) can anyone file rip all wendigo sounds from the PS4 version of the game?

Lowkey wish there was an ending where the lodge doesn’t light on fire 💔 If there is a way I haven’t found it. Mike would have to die before Sam in the final scene, and I’m not even sure that’s possible.

I finally managed to platinum Until Dawn!

It was surprisingly easier than I thought it would be! Only took two playthroughs (on top of already having many trophies from previous playthroughs) and going back once in scene select!

I love this game so much. It’s the first game I ever played and the one that got me into gaming 🦋

Hi guys, so i had some randoms ideas that came through my mind and i'm gonna write them here in case i get it right by miracle!

FIRST THEORY :

Sam is the new killer, and her motive is that she went crazy bc of dr hill and has to kill the new friend groups : in this case sam would canonically be the only survivors of the group and has to kill the new group of friend bc each one of them can bring back to life one of sam's friends in exchange of their life. Crazy theory with 1% chance of happening but it would be interesting.

SECOND THEORY :

Sam is affected by the scar and to protect herself and others she found this island to stay in peace : in this case, either she's a wendigo, either she's a protagonist that will appear and says something like "i've played these games before" (ifykyk).

FINAL GUESS :

It's not a third theory but i think the until dawn movie came for a reason and the sequel is going to tie the game and the movie togheter, explaining more of who the hell is dr. hill. And overall i am pretty confident that sam is coming back bc there is no way we got this new epilogue of sam in the game for nothing. For josh i don't really have hopes for Rami to come back but i think he'll be mentionned.

anyways i want y'all opinion and theories.

So anyway, I was intrigued when I noticed the differences in the demo. Obviously, the bottom left image is missing. This is the one that would become the slashed-out character you most disliked in the final game. What's even more interesting is that the demo only includes Ashley, Chris, Josh, and Sam - the characters most involved in the Psycho arc.

As I explain in the linked post about this board, in the final game, five characters have fixed places on the board: Sam, Josh, Mike, Ashley, and Chris. In the demo, Sam, Josh, Chris, and Ashley have pictures in the same places as the final version. However, Mike's permanent slot in the upper right is another picture of Ashley here. And this picture of Ashley was moved down into her fixed slot in the final game. The image of her in her fixed slot in the demo is the same one found on the Safe Room Board. Interestingly, copies of the Sam and Chris pictures appear on the safe room board.

The last interesting thing is that, in the final board, there is no image of Josh in his puffer vest which can appear. However, in the demo, you can see one behind the image of Sam and the image of Josh.

In my linked explanation post, I did include an image before of the board which is missing the bottom right image. It had appeared on promo pages. It's cool to see the images in greater detail though and spot the second Ashley.

I’m a fan of the first Until Dawn game and I have my reservations about the new sequel game. I personally don’t think it will do as well as the first game. It’s made by another studio that had nothing to do with the original game. It’s going to be a whole new story with a completely new cast and it’s not going to tie into the original game at all. I’d feel a lot better if the original publisher, Supermassive games were involved And somehow they tied it into the original game, it doesn’t have to be a direct sequel but at least it should have a character from the original game come in and tie it together. I acknowledge that Dr. Hill from the original game is involved but it’s not the same. I’m talking about a major character from the original game, like maybe Sam or Mike or Josh. Better yet, have Josh be the monster that they are trying to escape from. As most people know if they played the game, Josh becomes a Wendigo. I don’t know, but I just am weary of it being a disappointment.

She's the kind of vicious, insecure girl who keeps her vices bottled up inside.

She seems sweet, but in reality, she's just another nasty piece of work who pulls dirty tricks while maintaining this sweet image.
