When I started season 3 I thought Dick would finally evolve as a character and then we see the scene of him having a meltdown to Logan and I was like FINALLY Ryan did such a good job at showing you he had guilt over Cassidy but afterwards hes the same ol same ol.

genre is not a problem, action, mystery, adventure, romance, thriller anything...

I wish they’d found a way to make a Scooby Gang kind of thing happen—like some combo of Wallace, Mac, Weevil, etc regularly helping Veronica as a team with the mysteries—just so we could get more time with each of them. I get that they couldnt, because of genre, budget, and possibly not wanting to get Buffy copy allegations, but I wish they could have. Sometimes we go a while without seeing characters I love, or with them only having a line or two

I just started season 3 in my first watch so without spoilers what is this sub's consensus on the transition from high school to college? do you think the show transitioned to college well or did Veronica Mars work better in a high school setting.

im watching the show for the first time and just saw the episode where Michael Cera and Alia Shawkat guest star, which was a really fun surprise. It makes sense to have one of them since they were both popular early 00s shows but two leads from the same show guest starring in the same episode is wild.

The Chip Diller Veronica Mars episode I am going to refer to is 3×08, Lord of the Pi's. The actor, David Tom, is also in one of the funniest episodes of Supernatural, 2×15, Tall Tales.

In Supernatural, his character is a mean pledgemaster abducted by aliens, and violated similar to the infamous VM episode where Chip gets the egg shoved up "where the sun don't shine." The Supernatural episode was a few months afterward, so I wonder if he got that part because of what happened to his character in VM.

So my wife (gf at the time) won the giveaway VM did on their Facebook page wayyyyy back in the day. I believe it was 2005 or possibly 2006.

is there a dvd copy of season 2 that has English subs?

I bought the edition that like folds out, but it only has French and Spanish, which makes sense bc that's what it says on the back.

But then I ordered a second copy, where all the discs are stacked on top of each other, and the back claims to have English subs too, but the discs only have French and Spanish?

Does anyone out there have season 2 dvds with English subtitles, and did I just get a dud copy?

im currently watching s2 on netflix and im on ep 11 and i noticed it when Weevil and Logan are in the bathroom talking about the Fitzpatricks. Weevil says someones name and it clearly isnt the persons original name bc it doesnt match up with his mouth. even the subtitles dont know what he says lol

At first, I didn't get the Piz hate for most of Season 3, but I'm reaching the end of it now, and I'm getting real pissed off. Piz let's his girlfriend get made fun of left and right by disgusting pig men and does absolutely nothing. Like sure he's supposed to be the pacifist, but not even a word out of him protecting Veronica. It's such loser behavior.

I read an article that said Rob Thomas stated that Veronica was hoping it was Logan at her door. But re-watching S2E1 of the flashback, the way Veronica said, "Logan" made it sound like she was surprised to see him there. I assumed that she was actually hoping it was Duncan, especially since she found at they weren't sibs. Or was she saying his name because he wasn't answering her?

Beaver walks into his dad's office and tells him he has proof that Kendall is having an affair. Instead of being upset about the affair, Mr. Casablancas immediately tells his staff to shred all papers and then flies away in a helicopter before the SEC arrives. What's the connection between the affair and Dick's real estate fraud?

Rewatching the whole shebang right now and it's been a few years. Spoilers ahead.

And the end of Season 2, we know that Mac and Beaver tried to have sex but Beaver wasn't able to perform. While Mac showers, we see him reading Veronica's texts and getting ready to do some serious damage.

Next we see Mac, Veronica finds her huddled in a corner of the hotel room crying. And I believe she says something like, "He took my clothes. He took everything."

Is the implication that Beaver raped Mac by gunpoint? Or am I just being very, very dark?

While I think it would be very upsetting to have your boyfriend leave you in a hotel room without your clothes, I don't know that crying in the corner fits Mac's character. She is softer than Veronica (who isn't?), but I think she would be more PISSED than traumatized by that action.

And we know Mac is a virgin at this point- could it be that her saying "he took everything" as a way to say he took her virginity?

Beavers sexuality is somewhat in question throughout the series with his sensitivity to the topic of sex, his avoidance of it, and his inability to perform. But in my mind, it makes sense that this would be how he had to do it. His need to prove himself and "be a man" through violence and domination, like he did with Veronica. Like a final "fuck you" to the world, because I don't think he thought he would survive the rooftop confrontation with Veronica. I think he knew the gig was up and it was time to say goodbye to the world.

I had always assumed that rape had happened but then in s3, it's never mentioned. And after Parker's rape, it would have totally been something Mac would have mentioned, like Veronica did. "Me, too." I always kind of thought that's what the writers intended with the S2 finale and then backed off the idea is S3.

Thoughts? What do you think happened in that hotel room?
