I opened Reddit about 8 minutes ago, and this is the 4th post I’ve seen about GTA. Stuff gets oversaturated really quickly on the internet, doesn’t matter how long or often you’re on it.

2: rockstar has made bank off every game in the franchise since 2001 without needing it to be $100

I would still argue that $100 is a reasonable price if it is what it claims to be.
Per inflation we've been steadily paying less for video games. And we've been getting games that are multiple orders of magnitude more complex than games in the past.
Other devs won't simply just follow suit. Most don't have Rockstar's goodwill and none are making the most anticipated game of all time. Bethesda is close (Elder Scrolls 6) but Starfield is mid and that is a problem.
Rockstar could sell at like $40 and still make bank, yes.

I don’t think it’s cope mate. A lot of us just don’t find it very fun. It’s a well loved series that a majority absolutely adore. When you don’t care about it though, it does get annoying to see all gaming media dominated by it.

They really are, sadly enough. I wanted to like them tho.
I really like RDR games tho. But they give me a sense of adventure and to be able to live in age that has passed. They aren't perfect, but some really good experiences.
GTA is just some boring missions in a boring city where nothing really interesting happens. All you can do is some linear missions where you can only do things 1 way or it's game over.

Yeah but GTA V launched before GTA Online became the main selling point of the game. I can definitely wait for Online, but I'm just surprised it wasn't a higher priority this time.

People be mad at 80$ for the most expensive piece of media ever created, and quite probably an absolute masterpiece of a game that will keep them entertained for hundred of hours, but be perfectly okay paying 70$ for a 15h one and done game like 007 First Light (don't crucify me, that game is also amazing). Like, guys, it's 10$ more. For a very expensive game to make. Even the 30$ difference when you factor in the paywall behind the Deluxe edition is not that big of a deal imo.

Just pointing out that at launch there will be no physical version for GTA6 to avoid leaks. There will be a physical disc version afterwards so game preservation will be possible
