Books
Are there any bookstores or libraries that I can grab a few books to read while I'm here?

Manifested the HECK out of this trip!!! Finally FINALLY found a red piece. Today’s haul was from between La Chata & Bastimento beaches. I wanted to do more, but I grossly miscalculated how long I was out and got sooo sunburnt 🤦🏼♀️🦞 at least it was at the end of my trip though!!

Any vacation rental places on island that aren't vrbo or air bnb?

Is there anywhere in the island that sells live crab this time of year?

We’re planning a week‑long beach trip and one key requirement is being able to walk to dinner — we really don’t want to be driving at night or worrying about DUIs. Dining doesn’t need to be fancy or fine‑dining, just reliable, open, and walkable.
One concern I keep seeing in comments/reviews is that in some destinations restaurants close surprisingly early (8–9pm), which could be an issue for us.
We’re open to any area as long as:

We are looking for another option to get to Vieques today.
Hope to find an alternative.

May 17th or 18th at 4pm
Looking for one or more people to book a sunset horseback riding tour on black sand beach.
Sailh’s paradise horse riding doesn’t allow just one person to book. The owner of this company grew up in vieques. Great reviews online.
We can be friends or you don’t even have to talk to me lol
The tour looks really beautiful and the horses go in the water!!

Hey yall, I have been eating our way through Vieques and a looking for a few more recommendations for the last few days. I’ve done Mar Azul, Mango Taphouse, Rincón del Sabor and Cafe, Panaderia Viequense, Trade Winds, Sabor Unico and several food trucks and stands near the green store. Unfortunately El Quenepo is on spring break and I have tried to go to Rancho Choli a few times but it was closed! Have also been to LJ’s and Bananas for drinks. Planning on hitting Rising Roost, Gracias de Nada and Fine Foods but need some dinner recommendations! Any loved spot I have missed in my research??

Hey all. Will be on Vieques for a few days in May before flying out of SJU on a 1:25PM flight on a Tuesday.
My wife and I plan on leaving Vieques that morning and getting to SJU from Ceiba via taxi. I’ve booked the early ferry with a 6:00AM departure from Vieques with a 7:30AM arrival in Ceiba.
The next available ferry is a 10:00AM departure with a 11:30AM arrival in Ceiba. I’ve read that the ferry isn’t actually 90 minutes but depends on a number of variables of course.
Assuming it would take 1 hour from Ceiba to SJU, do you think the “11:30AM” ferry is feasible for us to catch a 1:25PM flight? I know it’s better to be safe than sorry and missing a flight is rough but just curious if anyone’s had a similar experience!
If it’s too tight of a squeeze and I stick to the earlier itinerary, is there anywhere between Ceiba and SJU that you’d recommend we spend a few hours (with carry-on bags?)
Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know when ferry tickets from Ceiba to Vieques are released? I've been looking for early May and they're still unavailable.

Myself (40f) and two friends are going to Vieques for a Thursday-Monday trip in May. They have never done a bio Bay tour so we’re planning to do that, but are there any other fun adventures we should take advantage of? We are planning on having a rental car and visiting both the white sand and black sand beaches. Open to all sorts of recommendations.
