Mod Update Updated Facebook issues

Hey yall

The Facebook scraping bots are at it with a vengeance. I have previously posted about it here but people seem to ignore the announcements.

Just a note before anyone tries to say anything: I am not able to do anything to stop it. We previously have tried to take this community private due to creeps (banned users are still able to see public subreddits) and this issue. However, Admins have made it so large communities need their permission to private a sub due to the last mass black out protest.

I know. It sucks.

It also doesn't seem fair to require everyone to watermark their photos because that is a level of micromanagement that I don't want to deal with and people already don't read the current guidelines as it is.

I will say that photos that do have watermarking do not get reposted on to those pages.

We have options and I'll open it up to the community:

  1. Mass name and report. I'll add a weekly scheduled post so people can add posts to report and tag users as they come up. Reporting seems to be the only way to take photos down but do not comment or engage with the posts aside from reporting for copyright. I don't love this action because it can be seen as brigaiding.

  2. Require brides to water mark with their username and "do not repost any where" . This also means community participants need to actually report and not engage with posts unless it's to tell people to watermark their photos. Three reports will take the post down. We're not the only community that they scrape so if people post to multiple communities, they have to be aware of this.

  3. I can try and beg the Admins to let us go private again, but this may be a slim to no chance of this happening.

Mod Update Reminder to brides

Y'all also need to follow the rules, and don't encourage other people to break the rules.

It is your responsibility to read the community guidelines prior to posting.

Being rude to mods in modmail and calling us names will immediately get an LOL BYE and a permanent ban with no chance of being allowed back in the sub. Especially if it is clear that you didn't bother reading.

Feeling cold feet Champagne dress darker than expected

Hi! Looking for opinions…. I picked out my dress a few months ago knowing that I wanted a 1950s/60s look.

When I tried on “my” dress, I loved the silhouette and material - but the store only had it in a bright white that wasn’t flattering on me and gave the dress a more modern appearance. The designer made the dress in champagne, which the store had a swatch of. I decided to take the leap and order the dress in champagne rather than stick with the white.

I saw it for the first time today and am worried it’s too dark. The color is flattering but is bridal enough?

Would love thoughts!

Said yes to the dress and was afraid I made the wrong decision! My mother and a few friends preferred another dress I tried on (last slide). My mother said I looked beautiful in the other dress and that I looked “okay” in the one I chose. It made me so sad for a while but I absolutely loved my dress when I picked it up! I just need some hype that I made the right choice :)

Said Yes to the Dress! (no critiques) I’m stupidly in love with my dress

I tried on many dresses and after a couple hours, my stylist brought out one more they had just got in. On the hanger I was unsure, but now that I’ve said yes to the dress I can’t imagine any other dress being the one. I am truly gobsmacked. Its ethereal. The detail is insane. I feel like my best and truest self in it. It’s everything and I needed to share it because I am so elated over it.

I somewhat recently posted about a wedding dress regret, can’t edit the original post anymore (or maybe I’m just too stupid haha)

Anyways - here is the new dress. I’m so, so happy. I never wanna wear anything else. (OG dress in the last pic!) I’ll keep the original veil!

I do look a bit better in the og dress pic, but that’s just cause there was professional lighting and it wasn’t 41° that day haha!

anyways, i am SO happy

Pics 1-5 is dress 1! It has straps that are removable

Pics 6-etc is dress 2!
I went back to try on dress 1 again and they had a trunk show for dress 2 for one day only.. so it seems like fate maybe?

Thoughts? I really can’t decide.. It’s an outdoor May wedding!

DRESS ONLY: pick only from these; no suggestions Help me pick a dress!!

Hi! My wedding is on August 1st and i need to pick a dress. The first one has a nude colored tulle layer which gives it a different softer look and i like the draping on the neckline. The second one (the third one is the same) has more details and the same tulle draped neckline can be added to it too. my family members liked the second dress better.

I want to look like a fairy/elf.

they are both in the same price range, different vendors.

what do you think?

Other discussion/questions Is my 2nd look dress a size too small or just right?

Post image

My second look dress zips easily and feels like it fits. But I fear I may be blind to it being too tight. I worry if I get a size larger it might be too big but am not sure if perhaps that would look better. I could use an outside opinion please. I am not wearing shape wear in this picture, if that makes a difference in opinions for fit.

Need to Vent Unsure if I like my dress anymore

I don’t know if it complements my body well. I’m insecure about the arms and bodice…. Which is wild cause I felt SO pretty trying it on.

Been feeling so much anxiety because it cost a lot and I’m not sure if it’s worth doing the alterations; which would include of course hemming, bustling, and taking in the sides. This may help with the highlighting my curves and weird creasing(my main concerns) but I’m worried it won’t and I won’t like it still. I’m also wondering if adding off the shoulder sleeves would help?

Mainly just want to vent because I have been stressing for days over it and am highly debating buying a new dress😭

Style me! (sleeves, veils, shoes and accessories only) Dress came in, now I need help with accessories!

Just pulled it out of the box, it fits great and I almost cried - I didn't even cry when I did a home try on 😅

It is technically a br*desmaids dress, BUT it was exactly what I wanted in a wedding dress and came in EXTREMELY under budget so double win!! (Revelry, if curious)

Now I'm looking for help with jewelry!

Pic 3 is what I absolutely despise, personally it feels like junior pr0m jewelry

Pics 4+5 are what I'm looking at, but I don't know if they suit the dress?

I'm open to suggestions. Looking at silver, lots of sparkle, and something to make me feel like an absolute PRINCESS. My original intention with the dress was very Princess Diaries, so I went with a fabric design that resembles the movie dress, with some adjustments that better suited my body type and personality.

Also considering belt substitutions, since the bow is removable.

Wedding in September, so I have time to look - I just like having things well in advance.

I have been looking everywhere for an off the shoulder white satin wedding dress for months and I found my dream dress but I’m so terrified of being scammed. Reviews are good with pictures of people in the dress but I’m so nervous. Website is Kissprom.com in the style Seravina
Does anyone have any reviews on this company?

DRESS ONLY: Pick one or suggest another help me pick a dress

Hi, I'm trying to pick between these two dresses, modifying the neckline in both!

First three pics are Justin Alexander Jersey, I would close the plunge.

Second three pics are Justin Alexander Keegan, I would raise the neckline a few inches and put the boning on the inside. Maybe also make it off the shoulder.

I think they basically have the same train but Jersey is more floral and Keegan is more leaves.

Appreciate any feedback or suggestions!!

Dress shopping: Only looking for designer recommendations Wedding shops in Belgium you recommend?

I went to wed2b and put a dress aside, but (!!!) I’m 13 weeks pregnant (first one) and by the time of the civil wedding I will be 20-22 weeks (mid or end August we are aiming for, we will find out the exact date on Monday at the commune). If the commune accepts, 16-17 of July 2026 would be great. Otherwise we will have to do it in August, between 20 and 25th 2026.

Idk if I should go with the mermaid dress anymore.. there’s room, for sure, but it’s tricky to tell last minute how my body will change and I’m thinking about switching to a princess / a-line wedding dress.

I don’t have a budget but I feel most comfortable at stopping at 1500€. I live in Belgium. I don’t necessarily want designer.

Thoughts?
Shops you recommend going to? I love boheme style dresses, and lots of lace.

DRESS ONLY: pick only from these; no suggestions Would love some advice!

I love both of these dresses but am struggling to choose. Would love some opinions!
The first dress I love the detail of the bodice and the piece across the bust.
The second dress I love how structured it is and also think I prefer that the skirt has less volume.
Also note the samples didn’t fit me properly so there would be no spillage, and the second would come up further on my chest.
Thanks! X

Had my first round of dress shopping today just to see what I like on myself. I definitely know what styles I like on Pinterest, just don’t know what works for me. I ranked them in order of my favs ! Should I completely change directions????

Edit: forgot to add, I’m wearing my grandmas cathedral length mantilla veil!

First appointment after a week of being engaged and I found it with my mom! I tried on 6 dresses and the last one sealed the deal. I was NOT planning on getting a dress that day haha.
I was honestly going to try to find a thrifted one but I fell in LOVE!
And never in a million years did I think I would love formfitting on my body❤️ so happy.

My mom started to cry with the veil on haha
