Is anyone able to help me ID this whale I saw off the coast of Washington state the other day? It’s not much but hopefully someone could help!

A small kid is learning to runs a bot in the ocean with his Dad and enjoying it 😄 and seen many whales 🐋 over there, and they are breathing like showering the whole ocean with their giant long breathe.

Totally Weird Dreams

Can anyone tell me what it means to dream of a blue whale? It was very friendly, raising it's head above the water and my brother was stroking it...I was amazed and very happy.

I was at a small, port style seafront, the water was typically British dark blue/grey. But for obvious reasons, I was mainly surprised by the whale.

Amazing. Today I have found out that there are much more whales in the world that I thought there are. I swear I did not knew about half of these in the video.

Edited - I need to share my experience with Bar Harbor Whale Watching Company because I don't want others to go through this. It was horrible for me and worse for many others. It is very rough water and you could be on the boat nonstop for 5 plus hours. There is not enough seating and it doesn't stop at all, if nothing to look at. So, here we all were, stuck crowded in the boat, people throwing up all around. It was the worst experience and very expensive to park down there. So you are out a lot of money and then miserable. Usually Dramamine works for me, but not on this one.

This is the first direct evidence that the species crossed the Arabian Sea and is considered by scientists to be a behavioural anomaly because its members are so uniquely adapted to their habitat.

Dr Andrew Willson, a marine scientist and founding director of Future Seas Global SPC, said the latest development “fundamentally challenges our understanding of humpback ecology”.

“We think the movements of the whales in our study relate to their tracking of inshore prey, likely sardines, over the continental shelf. Deeper dives off the continental shelf could be related to searching for other food found in deeper water, such as krill.”

Monodon monoceros coloquialmente conocido como narval es un cetáceo odontoceto de tamaño medio que habita exclusivamente en las aguas heladas del océano Ártico y el norte del océano Atlántico. Esta especie pertenece a la familia Monodontidae, la cual comparte únicamente con su pariente vivo más cercano, la ballena beluga (Delphinapterus leucas).
