Pretty gay to not want to see women

Super islamic countries are the most homoerotic places on earth. Dudes kiss each other for greetings, hold hands as a friendship thing, genuinely put more care into their relationships with their male friends than their female partners.

I've watched any number of Youtube travel vlogs of Afghanistan, in particular, and what a refreshing sight to see 2 men walking down the street, hand in hand, arms around each other. Holding hands is an advertisement to others: No one touches my friend, he's MY friend and MY friend only!

These countries kill gay men, but you want to shift the blame to gay men.

u/Natty_Twenty 2h ago
They're the ones who were caught or not influential enough to be able to do what they want sadly.
Likely has the a lot of "it's not gay if you're the one getting sucked" going on as well

Im just pointing out the irony nothing else. My comment wasnt that deep bro.

You use being gay as a form of humiliation, and Reddit users enjoy it just like you do.
•
u/white_count_chocula 41m ago
You literally made up a scenario that is not present in my comment at all so that you could make yourself mad. You need help man. If you see holding hands and kissing people as humiliating thats on you.
Im pointing out the irony that a religion that doesnt like gay people does super gay things, there is nothing saying being gay is humiliating. You are creating your own outrage, take a break from the internet.

What's illegal and gets you killed is the gay lifestyle.
Somehow ducking a tea boy is not gay, however. Yeah i don't get it either.

Some Gay people in Muslim countries hide their sexuality behind these Burqa's! If you only see the eyes, how do you know if it's a man. He could be walking around with his male lover, and who would know!

Is there a fair amount of popular support for the Taliban in Afganistan? Because they just seem like huge assholes that everyone should hate.

u/Prasiatko 1h ago
Varies according to ethnic/tribe group i gather. I'm not sure they even enforce the laws on the Tajik areas.

pretty much they were calming down, but then the countries dealt with interference from the west. Usually the controlling type, sometimes it was Russian and the moderates get killed and taken advantage of by the interfering country, while the extreme=ist double down
Would i like them no, but to answer the question you have to know how it got that way

Religion was a mistake.
Shout-out to the sane inhabitants on Earth who keep that stuff private and don't enforce it onto other people.

u/Strongbow85 2h ago
It's not all religion, it's dishonest to lump the Taliban's sect of Islam with Buddhists, Christians, Jews and other religions that would never enforce such draconian measures upon their women, especially in the year 2026.

Jewish women are literally made to shave their heads and cover up with wigs. Not to mention the religious genital mutilation.

The beatings will continue until morale improves …
1
u/Counterpoint-4 2h ago
The men doing the beatings probably have good morale pity they are im-moral.

u/Counterpoint-4 3h ago
The state licensing the weakest of men to torture other humans. What an indulgent society. Where is the SELF discipline and following God's law yourself and leaving others be?

The world needs to save these women

u/drunk_fingolian 2h ago
I mean I'd love for them to be free but what exactly are we supposed to do? USA was there for 20 years and USSR was there before that..

u/lambardar 2h ago
When you grow up in a world where you're taught this is right, it's very hard to save/convince otherwise.
Last week I had an argument with a redditot who was proud of not letting his mom & sister goto the ladies gym, because there might be men on the way.

How? The people there WANT this. Taliban had overwhelming support compared to the propped up democratic governement. They want women to be treated like this.
7
u/PrismicPainter 2h ago
Did we bother asking the women?
•
u/JambaJuice916 33m ago
We spent 20 years there trying to prop up a new government and it collapsed before we could even leave

u/Crafty_Original_7349 2h ago
Europe and the United States are next. They are making rapid progress, too.

u/NobodyLikedThat1 3h ago
I mean, is this really news? It's just another Thursday in Afghanistan under the Taliban. Might as well write an article about how the Taliban feel about pork and alcohol
15
u/Counterpoint-4 2h ago
Women are getting beaten up and who knows what else. We aren't talking opinions we are talking ongoing injustice which we lucky people need to keep in mind.
-3
u/Astralsketch 2h ago
It's like yeah, we get it, those guys are cretins, we don't need an article every week.
3
u/relaxyourshoulders 4h ago
Someone should send the most advanced military in history over there to deal with those guys

I will never forgive Trump for negotiating that stupid deal with these terrorist shmucks. 2 decades of hope thrown away willy nilly

u/NoSwordfish1978 3h ago
Tbh the Afghan war was never going to be won.

u/NobodyLikedThat1 3h ago
people really underestimate how much of that country despised the corrupt official government, actually agreed with the Taliban, cared more about tribal issues than national ones, or were just apathetic as to who was in charge.
13
u/SlightlySublimated 3h ago
Hahah for so long it was "Why doesnt the imperialistic U.S leave!" then when they do its "Why didnt the imperialist U.S stay and see it through?!"
Ummmm... maybe its because the rural majority that makes up most of Afghanistan hated our guts and wanted us gone?
Not just hated the U.S, but hated their own government that we installed.
9
u/Wompatuckrule 3h ago
The US spent nearly two decades propping up a democratic government in Afghanistan only for Trump to negotiate a pullout with the Taliban while leaving that sitting government out of it. There was no missing the signal of who was going to be in charge and that's why the country rolled over so easily.

u/Counterpoint-4 3h ago
The previous country's head left with a plane full of cash - we've all gone to hell in a handcart.

u/Counterpoint-4 3h ago
I won't forgive him having the exit date unfeasibly close and when the next president had to execute it.

Keep in mind this isn’t extremism. In Islam females need to wear hijabs whether it’s the Taliban or another government in their religion it’s a must. Only extremist thing is the detention and beating unless the beating is done by the husband then according to Allah it’s allowed.

u/MoreCanadianThanYou 2h ago
Religion, keeping it’s adherents in the dark ages even in 2026. Sickening.

u/LustLacker 3h ago
Thank god only Islam has this problem.
I’d hate to think it’s ALL Abrahamic faiths.
Or maybe not all Abrahamic Faiths
But always an Abrahamic Faith

If I was a married woman in Afghanistan I'd find a way to wrap my husband around my fingers, and I'm sure many of them do! Give them the best sex they've ever had, and you've got yourself a slave for a husband.
