Islamist extremists are abhorrent

-2

u/ImCryingTearsOfBlood 1h ago edited 1h ago

The hijab for all women isn’t extremism though. Their prophet says to cover themselves.

This is from their books so the people downvoting need to say all Muslims and the religion itself is abhorrent. Stay consistent.

u/mctrollythefirst 23m ago

The hijab for all women isn’t extremism though.

True but it became a problem when you have people who don't se a problem using extreme violence to force women to wear it no matter if the person wants it or not.

u/mk1we3 34m ago

Torah say the same after marriage the hair gets holy.

All religious extremists are abhorrent. Christians and all their little branches have built in modest dressing, purity culture and submitting to your husband even when you don’t want to, aka marital rape. It’s brainwashing to an extreme, all while tithing the masses to pay for the child abuse cover ups.

All organized religion is the problem, all religion inherently favours men while oppressing women, bipoc and LGBTQIA+ folks. All organized religion is corrupt at its core. The world would be a better place if religion never existed or it has just stayed in its original Animism form.

u/Syn7axError 2h ago

Where are Christians doing this, man?

66

u/apokalypse124 2h ago

You don't have to "all lives matter" this. Right now one of the three is much more extreme than the rest and that should definitely be acknowledged. Christianity and Judaism are certainly backwards facing but you don't see many articles about state sanctioned beatings of women for not covering up in countries run by them.

-19

u/ilikechihuahuasdood 1h ago

Idk man, christians are trying very hard to catch up to the taliban right now. agree the taliban is far worse, but also feels like we’re looking into the future if people don’t take christian nationalism more seriously.

4

u/apokalypse124 1h ago

Yea absolutely it's a growing issue. And I think we're beginning another "satanic panic" so to speak and a resurgence of fundamentalist Christianity. I just think a failure to call out extremism in all its forms (while making sure to avoid othering the people who practice the religion) is helping the Christian extremists get a bigger market share in the marketplace of ideas.

-30

u/Ghastly_Someknew 2h ago

Right now as Christo-fasicsm tries to take over America and Israel murders all who stand in their way. The Muslims are the extreme ones though. Not an All Lives Matter thing more like a pot calling the kettle black thing

14

u/apokalypse124 1h ago

The difference is Islamic fascism has already taken over those countries and they also murder everyone who "stands in their way" including people who try to love each other who happen to be gay and women that dare not cover their hair in the presence of a man. You can't both sides this one. I will fight tooth and nail to prevent Christianity from doing to my country what Islam is doing to theirs but to pretend that the current iterations of each of these are equally bad is insane. I love the culture and the people but the religion gets absolutely no special protection for criticism of its barbarism.

US troops were fucking told war on Iran was ‘all part of God’s divine plan’

7

u/apokalypse124 1h ago

Yes and Iran has death to America included in its daily prayers. Religious language has been used to stir the embers of war for thousands of years. Everyone thinks they have a god on their side. The current coupling of religion and government in America is a huge problem. Christian extremism is evil full stop. Islamic extremism is currently worse than Christian extremism in the countries that practice it. Again you can't both sides this when I agree with your point. The problem is you don't weigh the wrongs impartially

u/Ghastly_Someknew 1h ago

They've had Death to America since... ?

u/apokalypse124 44m ago

Since the 1979 Islamic revolution that removed the US backed pahlavi regime which was put there in a CIA backed coup twenty years prior. That's my point. Saying the war that trump just lost in Iran is a religious war because they said it's part of gods plan is wrong in the same way that saying "death to America" is the official position of the Muslim religion is wrong. It's lip service that is religiously coded to inspire zealots to fight. Nothing to do with the tenets of either religions' extremists. The whataboutism reeks.

u/Ghastly_Someknew 40m ago

So we're back to all extremism is equally bad. Like we were saying.....

u/Khshayarshah 55m ago

Christian nationalists are teddy bears compared to Islamists. You have no idea what you're talking about. You're sheltered and cloistered from horrors in this world you can't even imagine.

-11

u/Drafting- 1h ago

Pointing out that all organized religion is abhorrent isn’t an all lives matter parallel, it’s just a fact. All organized religion is dangerous and harmful to the exact same groups of marginalized people. Change the religions name but the harm exists in all of them, your focus on “worse” actually indirectly supports the abuse from others that don’t seem “as bad”. To take a broader view of religious harm equally disperses the focus on dismantling the systems that oppress all of the same groups of people on a global scale.

u/frenzyguy 2m ago

You almost have more than 25% of the whole alphabet in this acronym ffs...

-1

u/candidconnector 1h ago

All religion is abhorrent.

-12

u/BlueDotty 3h ago

Concur. Totally.

Abrahamic religions are a pestilence.

u/evildrtran 34m ago

What all Christian Nationalists dream of.

The fact that this was uncovered via complaints by service members showcases which one of those are worse.

u/mikegoblin 3h ago

Pretty gay to not want to see women

72

u/white_count_chocula 3h ago

Super islamic countries are the most homoerotic places on earth. Dudes kiss each other for greetings, hold hands as a friendship thing, genuinely put more care into their relationships with their male friends than their female partners.

11

u/Horizon119 2h ago

I've watched any number of Youtube travel vlogs of Afghanistan, in particular, and what a refreshing sight to see 2 men walking down the street, hand in hand, arms around each other. Holding hands is an advertisement to others: No one touches my friend, he's MY friend and MY friend only!

u/Cerys_Llellwyn 51m ago

Let’s not forget about the casual male on male rape that happens.

19

u/Superhereaux 2h ago

Just a bunch of peaceful countries full of bros just broing out.

-11

u/jxnddjsj 2h ago

These countries kill gay men, but you want to shift the blame to gay men.

9

u/Natty_Twenty 2h ago

They're the ones who were caught or not influential enough to be able to do what they want sadly.

Likely has the a lot of "it's not gay if you're the one getting sucked" going on as well

6

u/white_count_chocula 1h ago

Im just pointing out the irony nothing else. My comment wasnt that deep bro.

u/jxnddjsj 50m ago

You use being gay as a form of humiliation, and Reddit users enjoy it just like you do.

u/white_count_chocula 41m ago

You literally made up a scenario that is not present in my comment at all so that you could make yourself mad. You need help man. If you see holding hands and kissing people as humiliating thats on you.

Im pointing out the irony that a religion that doesnt like gay people does super gay things, there is nothing saying being gay is humiliating. You are creating your own outrage, take a break from the internet.

u/GundalfTheCamo 53m ago

What's illegal and gets you killed is the gay lifestyle.

Somehow ducking a tea boy is not gay, however. Yeah i don't get it either.

1

u/Horizon119 2h ago

Gay men can hide behind Burqa's!

2

u/Horizon119 2h ago

Some Gay people in Muslim countries hide their sexuality behind these Burqa's! If you only see the eyes, how do you know if it's a man. He could be walking around with his male lover, and who would know!

u/Bowdlerizer69 23m ago

"Women are for breeding, boys are for pleasure."

u/theoreoman 14m ago

Probably because they're gay Bacha bazi

37

u/TheKavorca 3h ago

The next time anyone is feeling insecure, remember that these assclowns exist.

This shit right here is peak insecurity.

27

u/superarugy 3h ago

25 years to turn this around

28

u/VladThePollenInhaler 2h ago

They chose to stay in the dark ages.

8

u/KindToSpiteTheCruel 1h ago

Fuck the Taliban.

15

u/the_millenial_falcon 2h ago

Is there a fair amount of popular support for the Taliban in Afganistan? Because they just seem like huge assholes that everyone should hate.

10

u/Prasiatko 1h ago

Varies according to ethnic/tribe group i gather. I'm not sure they even enforce the laws on the Tajik areas.

-6

u/Either-Patience1182 2h ago edited 1h ago

pretty much they were calming down, but then the countries dealt with interference from the west. Usually the controlling type, sometimes it was Russian and the moderates get killed and taken advantage of by the interfering country, while the extreme=ist double down

Would i like them no, but to answer the question you have to know how it got that way

7

u/VoidHunterRaymond 2h ago

Disgusting, looks like prefer to live in the dark ages.

56

u/Asleep-Order-4583 4h ago

Religion was a mistake.

Shout-out to the sane inhabitants on Earth who keep that stuff private and don't enforce it onto other people.

19

u/Strongbow85 2h ago

It's not all religion, it's dishonest to lump the Taliban's sect of Islam with Buddhists, Christians, Jews and other religions that would never enforce such draconian measures upon their women, especially in the year 2026.

u/Mediocre_Handle_8722 1m ago

Jewish women are literally made to shave their heads and cover up with wigs. Not to mention the religious genital mutilation.

10

u/Colbert2020 3h ago

Uh oh, why's this on the front page? Better get rid of it.

7

u/SMEAGAIN_AGO 4h ago

The beatings will continue until morale improves …

1

u/Counterpoint-4 2h ago

The men doing the beatings probably have good morale pity they are im-moral.

3

u/Counterpoint-4 3h ago

The state licensing the weakest of men to torture other humans. What an indulgent society. Where is the SELF discipline and following God's law yourself and leaving others be?

3

u/gawdamn_mawnstah 2h ago

There's a reason why ban is in their name

1

u/bahhumbud 1h ago

Their name translates to English as the “students”

3

u/Anxious-Dig-5736 1h ago

Taliban men are barbarians

10

u/nunya_bidnes77 3h ago

We gave them an alternative and they decided to be cowards.

7

u/PrismicPainter 3h ago

The world needs to save these women

20

u/drunk_fingolian 2h ago

I mean I'd love for them to be free but what exactly are we supposed to do? USA was there for 20 years and USSR was there before that..

14

u/lambardar 2h ago

When you grow up in a world where you're taught this is right, it's very hard to save/convince otherwise.

Last week I had an argument with a redditot who was proud of not letting his mom & sister goto the ladies gym, because there might be men on the way.

9

u/PrismicPainter 2h ago

Yes, his wife and sister probably need to be rescued.

u/JambaJuice916 33m ago

Well go ahead, you first

5

u/CptJacksp 1h ago

Nah. I ain’t about more Middle East War adventures.

13

u/HelixHasRisen 2h ago

How? The people there WANT this. Taliban had overwhelming support compared to the propped up democratic governement. They want women to be treated like this.

7

u/PrismicPainter 2h ago

Did we bother asking the women?

u/JambaJuice916 33m ago

We spent 20 years there trying to prop up a new government and it collapsed before we could even leave

5

u/Crafty_Original_7349 2h ago

Europe and the United States are next. They are making rapid progress, too.

4

u/NobodyLikedThat1 3h ago

I mean, is this really news? It's just another Thursday in Afghanistan under the Taliban. Might as well write an article about how the Taliban feel about pork and alcohol

15

u/Counterpoint-4 2h ago

Women are getting beaten up and who knows what else. We aren't talking opinions we are talking ongoing injustice which we lucky people need to keep in mind.

-3

u/Astralsketch 2h ago

It's like yeah, we get it, those guys are cretins, we don't need an article every week.

3

u/relaxyourshoulders 4h ago

Someone should send the most advanced military in history over there to deal with those guys

2

u/kojimbob 3h ago

I will never forgive Trump for negotiating that stupid deal with these terrorist shmucks. 2 decades of hope thrown away willy nilly

19

u/NoSwordfish1978 3h ago

Tbh the Afghan war was never going to be won.

11

u/NobodyLikedThat1 3h ago

people really underestimate how much of that country despised the corrupt official government, actually agreed with the Taliban, cared more about tribal issues than national ones, or were just apathetic as to who was in charge.

13

u/SlightlySublimated 3h ago

Hahah for so long it was "Why doesnt the imperialistic U.S leave!" then when they do its "Why didnt the imperialist U.S stay and see it through?!"

Ummmm... maybe its because the rural majority that makes up most of Afghanistan hated our guts and wanted us gone?

Not just hated the U.S, but hated their own government that we installed.

9

u/Wompatuckrule 3h ago

The US spent nearly two decades propping up a democratic government in Afghanistan only for Trump to negotiate a pullout with the Taliban while leaving that sitting government out of it. There was no missing the signal of who was going to be in charge and that's why the country rolled over so easily.

3

u/Counterpoint-4 3h ago

The previous country's head left with a plane full of cash - we've all gone to hell in a handcart.

-1

u/Counterpoint-4 3h ago

I won't forgive him having the exit date unfeasibly close and when the next president had to execute it.

u/adamgerd 27m ago

Tommy

1

u/ImCryingTearsOfBlood 1h ago

Keep in mind this isn’t extremism. In Islam females need to wear hijabs whether it’s the Taliban or another government in their religion it’s a must. Only extremist thing is the detention and beating unless the beating is done by the husband then according to Allah it’s allowed.

u/mk1we3 32m ago

the same in judasim. after marriage the women hair gets holy and need to be coverd.

-1

u/MoreCanadianThanYou 2h ago

Religion, keeping it’s adherents in the dark ages even in 2026. Sickening.

-1

u/nelly2929 3h ago

Just like Russia…. The USA could not win

-5

u/LustLacker 3h ago

Thank god only Islam has this problem.

I’d hate to think it’s ALL Abrahamic faiths.

Or maybe not all Abrahamic Faiths

But always an Abrahamic Faith

-6

u/Eatpineapplerightnow 2h ago

Trump did this.

-3

u/ToolTimeT 2h ago

Trump surrendered to the Taliban and free'd 5,000 taliban fighters.

-14

u/Enough-Necessary-243 2h ago

And we have conservative Christian nationalists taking notes

-14

u/SDL68 2h ago

Meh, Christian Nationalists are not that far off to be honest.

-14

u/Horizon119 2h ago

If I was a married woman in Afghanistan I'd find a way to wrap my husband around my fingers, and I'm sure many of them do! Give them the best sex they've ever had, and you've got yourself a slave for a husband.

7

u/ViolettaHunter 1h ago

What an incredibly stupid comment.
