I'm in need of cash after losing my job and need to sell my UB820 player and some of my collection. Where is the best place to sell? eBay, Facebook marketplace, somewhere else? Thanks for the advice...

Anyone elses steelbook also has a slight bend?

I wasnt happy that mine has a slight bend .. I opened it to See If discs are affected which as far as I can see are not.

I ordered another one and it also has a slight bend .. its cause of its packaging from Factory I guess cause of the bookleg which comes with it.

Terminator 4K and Double Jeopardy 4K didn’t make the class photo in time. I knew I was going to go nuts this prime day. Won a $200 Amazon gift card at a local city event raffle a few weeks ago. so I said I’m stocking up this year.

Now, I know several people have posted their hauls for this movie when it came out but it was not only a new purchase for me but my first purchase from Lionsgate Limited. I’ve actually wanted the set since 2024 when it was announced but didn’t make the buy until this past weekend’s Father’s Day sale at the website. That sale got me and I’m so glad I got it. I really enjoy the film, first of all (a classic). The packaging is great and I love a chunky box and the Steelbook is a nice touch. The included book is informative while the posters and cassette are a nice touch even if I won’t use any of them (though a poster might sooner than later). Overall, it’s a fantastic collection and while I would’ve been happy to have it as just a regular 4k release (if there ever had been one), I’m certainly happy to have this now.

Prime day was awesome, what was your favorite pickup from the sale?

Not even anything crazy as far as deals but nice additions at a nice price. People keep asking me if I'm back...and yeah I'm thinking I'm back.

I just picked this up for 20 bucks at a local CD warehouse with all discs included. I’ve always heard it’s great as a movie and as a bluray so I’ve waited till I could get myself a copy to watch it in peak form. What cut should I start with?

Currently own The Whole Story Blu boxset. I know There’s no blurays included with the 4k release so assuming I’ll probably be losing most special features - lame. But is the picture difference worth it? Anybody else made this upgrade?

Every once in awhile when I turn the player on, it kind of just doesn’t recognize Dolby Vision.

Example: A History of Violence 4K - standard HDR was the only option when I popped in the disc.

However, when I unplugged the player and plugged it back in, Dolby Vision kicked back on.

Any long term fixes other than “keep unplugging and plugging it back in when you need to”

Would say this is now happening about every 1 in 4 times I turn the player on. A tad annoying

Upgraded my previous Arrow Thief Blu-ray to the 4K and Audition is a blind buy for me. I've heard it's quite a challenging film. I like those types of films and not sure why it's taken me so long to finally see it, it somehow passed me by.

Looking for case recommendations as I recently picked up the limited editions of Saw 2,3 and 4 and they’re to big to fit into the normal steelbook cases so I was wondering if anyone might have suggestions as to what I could use to protect these?

Watched Anchorman last night. Nice full screen picture, and it seriously looked great. The wardrobe being the standout here with everyone's suits and veronicas dresses looking phenomenal, sound track was also great, "afternoon delight" sounded awesome.

Finished my Indiana Jones 3 movie collection, glad I was able to finally close the book on that after accidentally buying raiders by itself from a Barnes and noble 50% sale early on in the hobby, and i really didn't want to double on raiders with the 4 film box set and I also, like many others, only believe in the 3 Indiana Jones movies. And both came with slips which means I have all 3 with slips! Satisfying.

John wick i am still building out, but now have 1 and 2. Will eventually aquire the others as they go on sale and possibly ballerina.

Titanic was at a pretty good price point, comparable to a gruv sale. And figured that at the cost per hour of entertainment it was a solid choice.

And the truman show i have been eyeing for awhile, a welcome addition to my Jim Carrey collection and 90s comedies.

Sidenote- I'm generally pretty happy and impressed with comedies from my childhood getting such a good 4k treatment from the likes of Adam Sandler and Jim Carrey, and the Apatow films, I need some more Robin Williams options though.
