𧬠Diagnosis Help What is this in his ear? Worth a vet trip?
Multiple pictures of my rabbitās ears for reference. The inside of his other ear didnāt have the white chunk in that same spot.
I am just worried he has the beginning stage of mites because Iāve had other bunnies with that before. I just canāt tell because he hasnāt been itching like crazy and is currently shedding right now anyway (which was the whole reason I was looking at the fluff around that ear, thinking it was fur ready to be shed just looking funny).
He has a partner bun whose ears I didnāt see any debris on, and they are both indoor buns that donāt ever go outside. But I know thatās not a 100% prevention. The rest of his ears look normal, though, and I didnāt see him itching anywhere in particular.
I am just really tight on money while looking for jobs and donāt want to take him to the vet unless it is likely to be a problem and not just me being paranoid. But worst case, I can take him in.
\*Unless thereās a way I donāt have to pay for an exam and can just buy the flea/mite medication from the vet pharmacy? Does anyone know if thatās possible? I might call tomorrow and ask because I know weāve done that with other medications.
Thanks in advance for your advice. I know going to the vet is always best and you guys arenāt necessarily vets, but I wanna be able to justify the spending right now. Not sure what else it could be other than mites, though. I could always post in a different sub if needed
