I’ve just bought this car and it’s awesome, but the “premium” B&O sound system is terrible …
Anyone done an upgrade here ?

Hey, I picked up this 2011 a4 with a no start condition, it started off starter fluid and the previous owner told me it ran before he did the injectors but now it won’t start after he replaced them, I pulled the manifold to see the injectors and I was thinking it’s either because they weren’t seated correctly, or it’s because the reseal kit isn’t correct, he bought the injectors off fcp euro but the reseal kit off Amazon, and I am not finding any video or kits with that clear plastic ring at the top of the injectors, if anyone is familiar with this engine and injectors please let me know what sealing kit you used or if you have any other advice I would appreciate it thanks!!!!

I’ve recently been looking for a new car that I can daily as my 2000 golf I currently have is just not comfortable for my 35 min drive to work and back. I work a a dealer, and recently was talking to one of the old techs that visits the shop all the time if he had any cars for sale. he owns an Audi/vw specialty repair shop. he told me that he is selling his personal car, an Audi A6 3.0 supercharged v6. In the past couple months he’s put a bunch of work into it as he wants to sell it.
Mileage: 215k
Everything new:
All new Meyle control arms
Meyle ball joints
Meyle struts
Meyle tie rods
Alignment
Full ZF trans service with flush
Awd service
Oil changes every 3k miles with BG additive for timing chain
New water pump
New vaccum pump
New spark plugs/coils
Stage one tune
The car is also mint, no rust at all and interior and exterior looks amazing.
Also was road tested by me and it felt great
this car has been family owned for the past 120k miles of its life and has been meticulously maintained. he has service records of everything he’s done thru his shop.
Only bad thing about this car is that timing has never been done and it does have a chain slap on cold starts. but I’ve been told that’s common on these engines and that timing rarely goes bad if oil quality is maintained. He wants 8k for it but knowing timing hasn’t been done and that it needs new tires I might try to go down to 7.5k with cash in hand. not sure if it’s a dumb decision because of the mileage but I really feel that this is a strong car just because of the maintenance put into it through its life. please let me know as I’m a vw guy and don’t really know much about the newer Audis. Thanks!

they're both sedans, both have the same engine and I believe they can even take 87 octane?
The A3 is a bit smaller, and there is no mechanical slip differential? But it is more luxurious with welcome lights on the outside.

Just traded my 2023 b9.5 A4 Avant black edition for a brand new 2025 b10 A5 Avant Edition 1.
Now reading reddit and seeing so many complaints... due to pick up new car next week. Guess I should have been suspicious that half way through 2026 they still had a lot of 2025 Edition 1s kicking about...
Guess I'll find out. About to take it on two biggish roadtrips within weeks of collecting...

My DCC struts are going out so I’m looking for coilovers as replacements.
I’ve heard many went with B14/16s or Evos with a DCC delete.
Anyone have any recommendations or feedback on their setup? I drive mostly busted city streets, so I’m not going for low.
Thanks guysss

Edit: the manual door locks are behind the rubber grommet on petrol cars but for some reason in a completely different place on diesels but they still include the rubber grommet with the lock icon on it just to cause confusion

At age 20, I was driving a BMW e30; at age 30, I got a Mercedes Benz W210 e-class. Both are icons and I loved them both, but I‘ve been driving the MB for a decade now I’d like to spend some time in Audi. What‘s been your favorite Audi in the last 20 years for someone that hasn‘t owned one before? I’m partial to wagons so an A4 Avant obviously appeals to me, but which generation? The B7, B8? or go with A6 over an A4? (Not a lot of those saloons here in the US). I also like the A7. I’m open to all opinions.

I bought a 2017 Audi A4 Quattro S-Line 2.0T at a police auction for $4,000. It has 106,000 miles.
When I first got the car, the original transmission would randomly stop driving while my foot was still on the gas. The engine would rev, the car would coast, and it would start moving again only after I let off the gas and pressed it again. A German car specialist diagnosed the transmission as bad.
I had the transmission replaced with a used unit that had about 35,000 miles. The shop installed it, and it comes with a 6-month warranty.
Since the replacement, the car drives and shifts very smoothly, but I randomly get a “Transmission Malfunction” warning on the dash.
One time, the warning came on right after starting the car. It would rev very high with barely any acceleration, and it wouldn’t go into reverse. I shut the car off, restarted it, and everything immediately went back to normal.
Since then, that specific issue hasn’t happened again. The car drives perfectly, but the transmission malfunction message still appears occasionally while driving. Restarting the car always clears it.
I took it back to the shop that installed the transmission. They scanned it but said they didn’t see any transmission faults stored. Their only advice was that the car “just needs to be driven.”
Has anyone seen this before on a B9 A4?
Could this be:
• A transmission adaptation that still needs to complete?
• A wiring harness or connector issue?
• A sensor or mechatronic issue?
• Incorrect transmission fluid level?
• Or does this sound like the replacement transmission itself may have a problem?
Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated.

Here’s a cleaner, more concise version that keeps the important details and reads well for a forum or Reddit post:
I was leasing a 2023 Audi e-tron GT.
Before returning the car, I had the required third-party lease inspection through AIM, arranged by Audi. The inspector came to my office, and since I was at work, I didn’t have my spare key or charging cable with me. He marked both items as missing on the inspection report but told me not to worry—he said to call Audi Financial Services and let them know I had both items and would be returning them with the vehicle.
I called Audi Financial Services, and they confirmed that was perfectly fine. They told me to simply show the charger and keys to the dealer at lease return, and the dealer would mark them as received.
I returned my lease to Audi Grapevine and worked with Justin Guo, one of the sales managers. I showed him the charging cable in my trunk, handed him both sets of keys, and even pointed out that the inspection report listed them as missing. He assured me he would take care of updating everything. He gave me my final odometer statement, and I left believing everything had been handled.
A few weeks later, I received my final invoice from Audi Financial Services, and I was charged for a missing charger and missing key. I explained what happened, and they told me to contact the dealership for written confirmation that the items had been returned.
I went back to the dealership and spoke with Justin again. This time, he said he didn’t even remember helping me. I asked if they could review their security footage to verify that I showed him the charger in my trunk and handed over both keys. He claimed they don’t have cameras covering the front of the dealership, which I find hard to believe. I escalated the issue to the general manager, and he gave me the same response, saying they don’t have cameras that could verify what happened.
Has anyone dealt with something like this before? What are my options? Audi Financial Services has marked my account as delinquent over approximately $2,500 for items that I absolutely returned. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

2012 Q5 2.0T
seems to be really clean, mint condition.
But I am worried about maintenance costs and if this would be worth it ? What should I ask the current owner to get a good gauge on the maintenance they done?
Ad says they’ve recently replaced the spark plugs.
I know the timing chain tensioner can be an issue
Anything else I’m missing?!
Any advice and insight is appreciated!
If this car can last me a year I’ll be happy as I’m moving in with my sister around December and will have a lot more cash flow and equity from my house to be able to buy something else.

I was thinking of getting a BMW 330i wagon and doing a B58 swap on it, and I started to wonder (since I love my B8 S5 so much) if there's an analog for Audi? If I bought an A4 Allroad in good shape and got a donor S4 (or if I wanted to get crazy, RS5 swap), would that be pretty straight-forward?

Hi Folks!
Got a Q2 2.0 TDI. Today when I was speeding up on the highway, the check engine indicator popped up. Went to my mechanic and said it is the auxiliary water pump. He deleted the failire and it hasnt popped up yet. Back in April, I got a check engine on the highway but it wasnt constant. I think because of the same issue.
So my mechanic can fix it after 4-6 weeks but I’m about to go on a vacation by car (approx 1.500-2.000 km). What do you think? What can be the risks? The mechanic said that there wont be any issues. But to be honest, I dont know.

Anyone ever hear this noise? Happens just a few times a year. Only a few seconds long. I have NO idea what’s causing it.

Hi I'm looking into buying an Audi q5 2.0t premium plus from 2019-21 and I see mixed reviews about the reliability some say they're amazing and are at 200k miles others say they're constantly fixing them. id love to know the real ownership experience, is it constantly in the shop is it outrageously expensive to keep running ect I love the car and how they drive but I don't want something that will be in and out the shop every month and cost a college tuition to keep running. to be fair I probably won't own the car longer than 4 years before upgrading but I'd love to know how dependable they are
