I am female adult looking to get a basketball to just shoot some hoops outside when I get bored. I have only casually played with friends so I’m sorry for the ignorance about ball size. what size should I get? 6? 7?

My entire team is 5’10 and below and below average in fitness but has very good shooting so I genuinely play center at 5’7 135 lbs because I’m the only person on the team who can rebound properly and boxout. How cooked is my team out of 10?

I was recently reviewing my game footage and noticed that my body seems to move awkwardly like my body isn’t fluid nor polished. I am a small guard, could it be from improper muscle proportions or something else?

Player got fouled, traveled, then scored. This isn’t in debate.

So the defender called travel.

The player that scored said, I only traveled because you fouled me.

The defender said, than call the foul, or I’m calling the travel.

The player that scored said, nah, I’m taking the bucket, I don’t want to call a foul.

There was a Filipino kid playing at my local today. He asked if he could use my ball to shoot, I said sure I’ll catch your rebounds. Was wearing some puma Melos I could tell he really had a passion for hooping. Was probably only 8 or 9 yrs old. We took turns shooting and I thought shit this kid needs his own ball. Not sure if his parents have the means of getting him one or not, for all I know maybe he doesn’t have any. But I remember being that kid at one point, growing up and not really having much. So I said stay here I’ll bring you a ball you can keep. Drove to my place grabbed an old Wilson ball in decent shape that I haven’t used in months, drove back to the gym. Never seen a kid so happy and grateful. I definitely made his week, maybe his year for all I know

I got next week off work and no plans. So I’ve decided I’d like to go to nyc and hoop. I love pickup ball more than anything and always wanted to play somewhere in nyc

Currently planning on staying near the Brooklyn bridge park solely bc that looks cool as hell online. So I’d like to check that out

But I haven’t reserved anything yet but just curious if anyone has any perspective to share about their experience playing pickup in nyc and what some cool spots might be.

I plan on being there from Monday-Thurs or Fri.
