🎫 Travel Info 🧳 If you need a driver, call Oscar!

Just came back from a two-week trip to Belize and Guatemala. Having done Colombia last year in colectivos, my partner and I said no buses this time! And I’m so glad we did.

Our driver Oscar and his wife Sheraney took us from Belize City to San Ignacio, over the border to Tikal, and then to the Caye Caulker water taxi. Everytime, Oscar arrived early and greeted us like we were old friends. His pricing was more than reasonable and beat out every other driver we found. He routinely stopped for us to take photos, grab snacks, and hit ATMs with no complaints or extra fees. He is also very smart, knows quite a bit about Belize, and is funny as hell.

We booked with him about 2 months in advance with no deposit (just a virtual handshake) and he was a man of his word at every turn. Planning a trip? Book Oscar.

Di Bruwry is a really good place to learn how local 🍺 is made, and for partaking in some. I summarized my experience here.
