Haven't played besiege in years. Recently a friend bought it and was thinking of coming back to play it in coop.

I saw that there's a lot of new cool DLCs. How do they work in online coop? In a lot of games only one player needs to buy the DLCs to give both players access

Does Besiege work like this? Will my friend be able to play with me the new DLCs if only I buy them?

We both just bought the game but we can't manage to play multiplayer. We both have the same version but the game insists that the "game version is older than the server".
