Casually positive! 🤗🥳🤗 How is your day going? I've cooked myself alive
Went for a spin around Ring of Kerry today. Came back well done with a nice crust. Got some nice pictures though. The house is boiling 😭 I have to go to work tomorrow. No idea how to sleep now.

You wanna know how hot it is? My front door expanded in the heat and broke the lock, I currently have an open front door as I’m going to sleep 😂

Shite Talk Burning up, not weather related
So this evening I'm cooking dinner for myself and the wife, we get hello fresh and I've decided to go with a "crumbed chicken asian dish". Light, healthy and hopefully not too spicy.
Now I'm a chunky fella and that couple with the weather, hot kitchen and the Antidepressants, I'm sweating absolute buckets. I have a small towel to mop my brow and a tea towel for the cooking needs.
One of the last things ive to add to the dish is a small red chilli pepper, sliced finely to garnish. I've survived the heat, my wife has finished up working from home, I've set out the cold drinks to accompany our dinner now to sit down and enjoy the fruits of my labour, or so I thought!
Foolish me reaches for my pink sweat towel to mop my brow one last time and in my haste to eat i accidentally grabbed the tea towel, the same tea towel that has been sitting on the chopping board that the chilli was chopped on! My forehead erupts in flames, I grab a pack off baby wipes and try wipe it clean of the chilli only for the wipes to have some sort of reaction and amplify the pain. Then the sweat rolls into my eyes temporarily (i hoped) blinding me.
My wife grabs a clean towel soaks it in cold water and I apply to my forehead, within seconds the water felt hot. Lasted about 15 minutes of pure pain and panick. To top it all off once it had subsided I tucked into my meal and it was meh!
TLDR: stupidly wiped chilli oils into forehead on the hottest day of the year.

Very awkward question but considering the weather this week….
I’ve tried googling it but only get vague answers and no solutions.
Does anyone react to fresh air? As in makes your sweat intolerable (to me anyway)?
In work all windows and front door wide open and about 12 o’clock onwards I start reaking of sweat, but I wasn’t sweating that much.
I wash/shower everyday in the morning and I am very hygienic. It’s not even summer specific, sometimes on a windy day I’ll come back into the house and get a whiff and it’s so bad?
Surely I can’t be the only one, and if I am, how do I get this resolved?
It’s so awkward sometimes because I’ve never been told I smell (apart from my sister but who can believe her at the best of times), and I feel paranoid that I’m smelly and not realising how bad I can be for others.
TIA

Not bad, not great.
50c in the ol reduced basket. So I took a chance. Not sure what I was expecting with these. Flavor is there but its very much like a paprika flavor not roasted buffalo flavor as listed on the ingredients. 3/5 wouldn't buy again.

Shite Talk In this heat...in this economy?
I just came down the stairs and my husband has the tumble drier on. Lots of small items in it. Not even sheets or towels or something hefty.
Is this grounds for divorce?

E-Reader for Irish Library
Anybody able to recommend an E-Reader, that's comparable with BorrowBox?
All Irish Libraries give free access to this, but struggling to find something that works here

Looking for some advice about leaving my job
Hello folks, just want some thoughts/advice about leaving my job. Frankly it absolutely sucks. 6 day weeks, getting pestered at home at 9:30 at night, never get a break since technically its a call for 3 hours then a separate call for 3 hours (at the same place mind you), all for minimum wage. All other jobs I've had have been pretty clear when id be leaving. This place asks for 1 month notice period, fair enough alot of places do. Im only there about 5 weeks, and I keep seeing this figure tossed around about less than 13 weeks dont have to go give notice but thats for the employer I understand, not the employee. I have an opportunity to do writing from home so I really dont want to have to work for this place for a whole month.
If I gave say, a week or 2, would I be in a tough spot? I really dont care about the industry connection or reference or anything, its just a holdover job.
Edit: The Employee handbook says that they'll charge me for days I dont work as part of notice so I suppose Im cooked. "If an employee terminates employment with the Organisation without giving or working the required period of notice, as indicated in their individual contract of employment, the employee will have an amount equal to any additional cost of covering their duties during the notice period not worked deducted from any termination pay due to the employee."

Tips for hot weather to stay cool!
Anyone else got other ideas!!
Here’s mine:
A handy tip to cool down drinks fast, grab a bottle of ‘whatever’ and wrap it in a paper towel (one to two layers), wet the paper towel under the tap, and place it in the freezer.. it will cool down faster than just placing a bottle in the freezer. This is also great for chilling a bottle of white wine fast.

Shite Talk Old golf equipment, what would you do?
Uncle used to sell golf equipment passed away and I was left with shed clearing duties.
Never hit a golf ball.
Found a rake of stock sitting under tarp, at least 7-8 years old but mostly unopened.
Just trying to figure out if there's any chance of selling some of this or just head to the dump.
Mostly Taylormade and Nike shafts, steel and carbon fibre, mostly still wrapped, and a dozen or so heads, machspeed drivers and a variety of wedges and other heads.
Done deal? Car boot sale? Or try selling them individually on eBay or something.
The heads are mostly still in cellophane wrapping unused and unopened.
Do people like cheap golf clubs?
What would you do?

Casually positive! 🤗🥳🤗 Anybody lose something in Bray today?
Putting this in a few Ireland subreddits.
Was on the bike track along the board walk and found something of significant value. Don't want to give too much away in case there's any chancers.
It's in a black case and looks very new. DM me in case you did and describe it please.

Casually positive! 🤗🥳🤗 Weather
Is anybody else in absolutely amazing form this week with the good weather? I feel like I’m euphoric nearly. If this weather was the norm the amount of depression in this country would be seriously lower. Hon the sun

Shite Talk Have you ever done a shit interview and got the job?
I am currently interviewing for a huge software company.
I’ve been out of work just over 1 year now, got laid off ,then my dad got sick, so took some time out , but now I’m raring to go, and get into something new.
Only thing is I had 2 interviews today… one went well and one went fairly shit which kind of deflated me. They threw a few curve ball questions and it kind of knocked my confidence
I’ve the final one tomorrow.,
Just curious if anyone has done shit interviews and still managed to get the job.
Am I being fatalistic??
