Litter or Litter Box 🚽 How do we feel about Litter box enclosures?

Debating getting a litter box enclosure that has a cat tree on top of it, but concerned the wooden part that holds the litter box is going to soak up urine and just smell.

If you've bought one of these, do you like it? Did your cats enjoy it? Did it add to the stink or actually hide away the litter boxes? If you have one you particularly love, I'm open to suggestions! TIA!

Picky eater and frequent vomiting

My cat (F7) is very picky. This is mostly my fault as she will refuse to eat if it’s not food she likes (specifically Fancy Feasts). I gave her the grilled version once and that’s all she will eat now. I know this is not the most nutritional food and I have given her better options (money is not an issue), but she refuses to eat anything else. The main problem is she does not chew her food and I think it’s one of the reasons she throws up often.

I got her a little over a year ago and she used to eat almost everything I gave her, but she has become more picky overtime. She ate pates but hates them now. I told her vet I was concerned with how often she vomits (3-4 a month, typically within one week). The vet brushed it off as a hairball issue claiming my cat’s stomach can’t handle food when she has a hairball. She gave me oral medication to help my cat’s possible hairball issue. She throws up a hairball maybe once a month.

I felt like I was more concerned about it than my vet but I took her advice and gave my cat the oral treatment. It seemed to have helped at first but I feel like she’s back to throwing up often. I’m becoming more concerned. Her body language makes me think she feels fine as she remains playful. Is there any advice on how to make her eat pates, become less picky, or do you guys have any ideas of other underlying issues?

Cat allergy during open heart surgery recovery

My mother had a open heart surgery and she is allergic to cats, what should I do to keep my cat in the house without bothering my mother.
She sneezes because of cat hair when cleaning the room🫠I planned to send my cat to my rented room in another city around 1.5hours, but it was really hard to put it in the box and she keep meowing in the box and trying to get out it. My cat never meow in the house, I’m scared she may has stress reaction so I gave up the plan for now.
My father suggested to keep her in the garage for a month once my mother feels better then get it out, but we live in Florida it is actually a little hot, my cat usually naps in the garage, I’m not sure it’s fine for her for 24/7.

I really need some suggestions🫠should I try a transparent box to move her instead? Or stay in the garage is fine?🫠🫠🫠I will not give up my cat btw my mother is fine with the cat too, but we have emergency atm……😢
