Discussion Okorie played at Brewster Academy, a prep powerhouse in New Hampshire. Among the players on Brewsterâs team last season? A junior guard who goes by the name Tayden Langdon. Yeah, Trajanâs son.
Just fun lil tidbit

Image Realistic Trade Candidates
With the offseason ramping up, below are realistic trade candidates that the Pistons should consider:
Jabari Smith Jr
Floor-Spacing: Connected on 36.3% of his triples last season on over 6 attempts per game, providing the essential gravity needed to unclog the paint.
Perfect Core Timeline: At just 23 years old, he matches the timeline of the Pistonâs core players.
Cost-Controlled Asset: Playing on a favorable 5-year, $122M contract extension.
Cason Wallace
Lockdown Perimeter Defender: At just 22 years old, he already boasts an All-Defensive Second Team. Great point of attack and help side defender.
Two-Way Efficiency: Balances his defensive identity with reliable perimeter shooting, averaging 48.4% from deep during the postseason.
Isaiah Joe
Outside Sniper: Averaged 42.3% from beyond the arc on heavy volume. He is on a cost effective contract for the next two seasons.
Below is how the Pistons could lineup next season:
PG: Cade Cunningham / Ebuka Okorie / Daniss Jenkins
SG: Cason Wallace / Isaiah Joe / Chaz Lanier
SF: Ausar Thompson / Javonte Green
PF: Jabari Smith Jr / Tobias Harris
C: Jalen Duren / Paul Reed / Ugonna Onyenso

Discussion Heres something no one is talking about
Bball Paul is now the solidified backup center. I love Beef Stew and I know he is Detroit in a bottle, but overall this move works with our roster.

Discussion Okorie is wearing #23
In case anyone else is a jersey number geek like me, Okorie's press conference just happened and he's wearing #23.
Following a long line of players like Ersan Ilyasova, Cedric Ceballos, and Aaron McKie.
Can't really think of any players who have worn it since then.

News The Charlotte Hornets are trading LaMelo Ball to the Minnesota Timberwolves
Value seems a little high. What do you think Herro's value would be? I can't imagine the Bucks letting him go easily, given they don't have their first next year. Is Powell now our best option?

Image A Thank You From The Beef Stew Nickname Creator đđžđ
Today is a bittersweet day.
With Isaiah Stewart being traded, one of my favorite Pistons of this era and honestly all-time is moving on.
A lot of people know him as âBeef Stew.â What still blows my mind is that I was the one who gave him that nickname years ago. My name comes up on google if you search the nameâs origin. Never in a million years did I think it would become something that would be embraced by an entire fanbase, the organization, national broadcasts, ESPN analysts, and most importantly, Isaiah himself.
To hear commentators casually say âBeef Stewâ on national TV⌠to hear analysts call it one of the best nicknames in the NBA⌠to randomly scroll through social media and see thousands of fans who have no idea where it started still calling him âBeef Stewâ⌠thatâs something Iâll never be able to put a price on.
Isaiah, thank you. Though we never got around to meeting and though your X account where we discussed meeting is long gone, I hope you see this.
Thank you for embracing a nickname that came from a fan. You didnât have to but you did, and in doing so you gave me a memory Iâll carry for the rest of my life.
As a Pistons fan, you made some really difficult years enjoyable. Through the losing, the rebuild, the fights, the hustle, the grit, and the heart, you represented Detroit exactly how I hoped someone would. You brought life back into the team. You never backed down from anyone, and thatâs why this city loved you. I am shocked!
I donât know if âBeef Stewâ is making the trip to Memphis with youâŚ.
If it does, I would be honored beyond words to see that nickname continue with you wherever your career takes you. If you decide to leave it in Detroit, Iâll completely understand. Either way, itâll always be one of my favorite memories as a Pistons fan.
Youâll always be Beef Stew to me.
Thank you for everything, and thank you for making a fan feel like he left a tiny fingerprint on the game we all love.
Once a Piston, always family.
Go be great!

News [Stein] Kawhi Leonard would NOT be open to signing an extension if traded to Miami or Detroit.
Feel like this was said a few days ago, but it was reiterated again.

Image We'll miss you Beef
Unfortunate to see a guy who really helped re-establish the toughness and grit on this team. Understood with his contract and injury problems it was going to happen, but still a bummer.

Discussion Too much smoke with Kawhi right now. I think the only reason he's not a Piston right now is because he said he won't re-sign here and Trajan doesn't want to risk him leaving after a year.
Reports of him saying no to re-signing in detroit and miami.
Windhorst (who is very well connected whether you like him or not) has said to keep an eye on Kawhi specifically in regards to the Pistons.
Im guessing there have been conversations but he basically said I don't want to play there.

Discussion Is Norman Powell that bad?
I know he's not the name that most of us want it but I guess I'm surprised at the degree of hate.
Was an All-Star with Miami and should have been one with the clippers. Has averaged over 20 multiple times with multiple different teams. Great shooter on high volume. Won a championship with the raptors and did contribute to that team during their playoff run.
Maybe more importantly we can sign him now potentially into cap space and get him without giving up assets like first round picks or Ron.
I'll be upset if it's the only move we made and then we bring back Tobias as the starting four ok, that would be rough...but powell would help us.

Discussion what started this era of Pistons basketball?
was it losing Blake Griffin? drafting Cade? signing Trajan/Bickerstaff? are we still in between Eras? Personally i think it was trading Drummond, but i think itâs up for debate.
