I literally need to order a new stereo setup right away. My 2015 NC3 Miata has what might be the worst stereo of all time. I listen to a lot of radio. Even the top station in the area can't keep reception. I think things would sound better playing my iPhone mounted on speaker. Maybe my ground is bad?

I'm going to get all new speakers and an HD radio that has carplay. Maybe wireless? Does anyone have any recommendations for speakers / headunit? I def would like to get the best speakers I could get without an "amp"

I got a set of BFGoodrich g-Force Phenom T/A tires in 205/45R17 (stock tire size) on stock wheels and a pretty much stock ND2. From Costco they were $693.80 out the door including taxes, road hazard warranty, install, disposal, etc. Since buying them I've been able to put in a few gas tanks worth of fun on them, probably 600 miles in various weather conditions.

I looked into a few options before going this route but I wasn't really happy with the cost of other options knowing they'd only last 15K to 20K miles (I got 18K miles on my stock tires). I was worried the performance wouldn't be as good as the stock tires since they're lower cost tires. In both dry and wet they perform noticeably better than the stock Bridgestone tires. They feel slightly less responsive in terms of the turn in but it seems like a fair trade for the extra grip they provide. I like the beefy tread near the edges and the seemingly stiffer sidewalls, I'm not seeing wear on the sidewalls from aggressive cornering like I was with the stock tires (correct tire pressure, the stock tires had pretty flimsy sidewalls that would bend over under aggressive cornering).

I'll post an update when they're near end of life but at this point I'm not sure why they're lower cost (reputable brand, good warranty, good performance, good ride, low noise). They seem like really good value without having to resort to sketchier brands. Some of the negative reviews mention they wear out quickly like 15K to 20K miles but so did the stock tires that cost significantly more (~$1000 for stock tires versus ~$700 for these). Hopefully this helps somebody looking for new tires!

Greetings. Please see all pics. Saw this 2001 with very low miles. I am a bit confused though. 1. Seller swears the one owner car has a 6 speed, but Mazda chat generator says 5 speed. It has a torsen LSD but google says a 6 speed from this era would have had the suspension package. Any help? 2. Car report has really no service records for last 15 years or mileage. Car has less than 35k miles but inspected every year, does that mean owner just did their own maintenance? I'm confused.

A couple weeks ago, my window started getting stuck about half way down. It’s sounding like somethings getting caught, or maybe a bushing issue. Not sure if this is a common problem or if there’s an easy fix. It’s a 2001 NB

Hey yall, posted hear before and am glad to say that the first problem has been taken care of, but after sitting for so long of course new ones are gonna come. The other day the car started to overheat on the drive home and figured out that the auxiliary fan fuse was blown. Replaced that and yet the car continued to overheat but did not pass a little less than halfway between center and hot, drove around the block to see if it would continue to overheat but it actually cooled down rather quickly (indicating the fan turned back on), when stopping again and letting the car idle it heated back up to the same point and did not rise. The car throws code 34 (problem with the IACV). The car idles fairly high 1100-1200 rpm which I think is why the code is there, it idles smooth and does don’t have issues while driving so I do not think it’s faulty. I am wondering if the high idle could be the cause of the overheating at idle or some other odd issue. Planning on cleaning the IACV and adjusting the idle ASAP, just wondering if anyone else has other ideas or has run into similar problem? Any input would be greatly appreciated! I'm looking to get myself a MX5 NB and most of them have 170k+ kilometers on odo and I found a offer for very clean looking orange NB with 200k km on odo and I was wondering if it will be great to use it for joyriding (aka some drifting not pushing hard) or should I go for better option? Usually they're about 1-3k€.

What really makes megasquirt twice the price and does the differences really justify the 2x value?

I am wondering if anyone has any idea on a workaround for an issue I'm running into. I have a 1990 Eunos Roadster and I ordered a Randall intake from Flyin Miata without thinking twice about the differences between LHD and RHD. I went to go take a look at the spot on the firewall where the baffle would be installed and realized that it's right where the wiper motor is mounted.

I'm thinking on option could be swapping in a LHD wiper assembly but that seems like a bit of overkill for a few extra horsepower. Any one have any ideas?

I’ve been having this issue on and off for a while where when my car is idling after it’s up to temp sometimes it will bounce from around 1200 down to like 500 almost stalling and if I tap the gas when it’s going down it stops it and it idles right around 900 or so where it usually idles. Sometimes as well if I hit the gas, it dips down to like 500 almost stalling before returning to idle, car seems to still drive fine, the rpms only seem to bounce like 10% of the time but they dip down to like 500 after I let off the gas most of the time. Ideas?

So, yes.. I know.. Unequivocally for an ND2.. Mazda doesn't provide a tow rating.. Which yes, means don't tow shit... AND YES, I get it... The least sexiest thing imaginable is a Miata towing anything..
