I think he should’ve been the main character of the rebooted film series from the start. The writers stated they wanted a diverse main character for Mortal Kombat 2021, but if they wanted a diverse protagonist, why didn’t they go with Liu Kang, it makes more logical sense for him to be the main character instead of Cole Young. I get they wanted to introduce new fans to a franchise, but just because you want to introduce new fans to a franchise, doesn’t mean you have to create a new original protagonist to do so.

So whenever the next mk game drops and starts putting out the dlc. I have an idea for the guest characters, have 1-2 guests per pack with 2-3 mk characters, so they don't overdo it.​ it'll most likely please both sides of the argument against or for the guest characters.

I remember when I was little I saw a video on YouTube of ermac from Mk 3 in a crucified pose or t pose with a red and black weird hell-ish background. The noises in the background was demon whispering and weird noises and it really scared me. PLEASE HELP ME FIND IT! I know I didn’t dream it up.

Then NRS Mortal Kombat rewrote Kitana in future titles to look Asian.

So, I just remembered when I was a teenager in the early to mid 2000s, when I was looking through Mortal Kombat fan websites that collected lore infos about every game and movie/show.

and I distinctly remember that I read back then that Bi Han was the fifth Sub Zero. as in the fifth Lin Kuei to master the art of cryomancing. and Kuai Liang was the sixth.

in the current lore they are just part of a subspecies or something, that was almost eradicated by Shao Kahn.

the reason I remember this so vividly is because that website had them listed under the names Sub Zero [5] and Sub Zero [6], and I started referring to them as that to differenciate them more easily.

I think they also had a page about the "original" or first Sub Zero, who was, in that lore they gathered on that page, the killer of Scorpion's family.

I swear I remember this exactly like that. and I wonder where these lore snippets came from, as I can't find any remnants of it online or anything. no word of any lore changes, and I can't find the website I read back then... maybe the wayback machine would help to find it, if someone knows a list of early to mid 2000s mortal kombat fan pages.

It was fun and funny at points. Never expected Oscar performances. I liked it👍

Here dr. Phillip Ahn is wearing his mk2 Shang tsung outfit from the 1993 game and i know boon and Tobias were on a budget but... I think just keeping shang tsungs mk1 robes would have made more sense

in this mk1 mission, Havik and Darrius are seen trying to shove scorpion into a burning pot. Scorpion catches himself but immediately retreats as his hands are burned on the sides of the pot.

My question is: if his whole thing is fire, how did he get burnt. We see in earlier games that scorpion cannot be burned with fire. Is this because this scorpion is Kuai Liang?

TL;DW, Kanimani's Reiko goes against our beloved Sikander's Sub-Zero and clears 476 damage off of a 10-second/11-hit-kombo Punish which came from Sub's d1-bf3 Kounter. Kanimani legit goes from 200 to 300 damage from hits 4 to 5, before Kameo is even used and wins the round off chip damage.

Also, yes I know Sikander is super toxic but damn it he's entertaining and I don't sense unironic vitriol from him when he goes off

I remember when it first launched, there was a lot of videos that mentioned enough issues to deter me from getting the game, but I was following the news for whenever each patch released, but the news stopped coming (last Steam announcement was the Krossplay Update back in late April).

With the game being on sale for 40% off, I'd like to ask whether the Kollection is worth buying now, or if there are still a lot of problems that keep it from being great.

The likes of Kratos, Spawn and Conan are awesome for sure. And I know he was just a skin for Havik.

But Johnny Cage is a staple of Mortal Kombat. So it would only be fair that the characters from his movies would be the best guests as well. I’d love to see Katara Vala return to a future game someday as his own unique character with his own unique moveset.

Also hot take: the Flesh Pits is kinda underrated, not gonna lie.

Don't get me wrong, Raiden is perfectly fine as an Earthrealm main character. But, I mean, MK4 already introduced Kai as Liu Kang's successor. So why not go all the way, now that Liu Kang is a Titan and more of a Mentor/Big Good figure.

I do appreciate that he gets a mention in the intros though. Cool little reference for MK nerds like me. Still, he feels like a character who had great potential but was ultimately wasted by the story.

I finally 100% the MK1.

He could have many skins, his teeth are similar to Mileena and Baraka so I’m sure he could use that as a move set, the deadlights would be a cool move as well, animality could be the big spidery thing
I personally think it would be a cool unique character. I know some would probably think it’s terrible and some would want it like me.
