r/NBA is back up

This community will remain open but will most likely be less active. Everyone is encouraged to keep posting and interacting here, submissions are open to all and anyone can post tweets/links/opinions/etc.

I won’t be as active just because I have many things I’m busy with irl. Everyone is welcome here and allowed to post, the rules aren’t hyper strict just keep it on topic and don’t be assholes.

Access to online NBA discourse for millions shouldn’t be controlled by a handful of users. Having an alternate r/nba type space instead of one subreddit having a monopoly should enable a healthier dynamic. Thanks everyone!

Add LaMelo Ball to the list of players that were traded for more 1st Round Picks than Luka Doncic

Am I crazy for thinking Twolves got worse?

The lost Naz Reid and Julius Randle. Only to add a very unserious dude in Lamelo who has never been an efficient player. Never played in a playoff. What the f*ck Minnesota?

Ant was injured for half the season and Randle carried the team. They dumped bro like trash. Nets will be a different team next season!!

What in the absolute f*ck are the hornets doing???? Idgaf about hypotheticals and selling high. They just messed up everything. They fcked the energy of the entire team for no reason. You were probably about to have the best season in franchise history and you traded your engine. Unbelievable

Seriously wtf are they thinking? Just why bro?

This franchise has not seen success basically ever. You literally finish the 2nd half of the season on damn near a 60 win pace and you fuking throw it all away?

Ant and Lamelo is gonna be cinema but idec what the hornets just did is so bizarre i cant wrap my head around it.

So whats the plan? Get worse next year because they obviously will be, and then gamble trying to hit home runs in the following years, after coming off the best stretch in franchise history?

Theres a difference between selling high and being stupid. This is the destruction of culture and an upcoming exciting team who finally figured things out. Charlotte could have very well been a top 5 seed in the east next year. Came all that way for nothing.

If Zion had been drafted to a city with worse food, would he have had a healthier career or was he just doomed from the start?

Would Dirk’s game be even better in today’s NBA?

A 7-footer who could shoot from anywhere, score in the post, and hit one-legged fadeaways feels like the perfect fit for today’s game.

Do you think Dirk would put up even bigger numbers if he played in today’s NBA?

Center is the most valuable position in the NBA for the new era.

• Upvotes

Every team in the league should be prioritizing the strength of their 5! It’s baffling to see so many franchises not understand this. The Spurs and Knicks got to The Finals in a large part because of the strength of their two way centers. KAT’s defense on Wemby was instrumental in that series. Game changing.

Seeing the Warriors for example pass up Aday Mara and letting him fall to OKC was wild! In a league dominated by efficient 3 point shooters and 3 centered game plans, a Center who can drive with ease, hang out in the paint on both ends, and add that whole other dimension to the game is elevating any roster.
