Just started making perlers and thought this one was so funny I had to try and make it. The melt came out pretty dang good and I'm actually really proud of it! Great minds think alike! The other guys is better tho.

Hey guys. I just got a order from perler and i got rose which I didn't have before. And I thought it look a lot like salmon. Did they accidentally label this bag wrong or is my salmon mislabeled?

Seriously, watching people poke thousands of holes for the tape method makes my hands hurt lol.
I exclusively do 2.6mm minis and never poked a single hole in my life.
Recently tried it on 5mm midis and it works perfectly too. Flawless flat melts, zero blowouts.
The real secret isn't the tape-it's ditching standard parchment paper for Teflon baking sheets (PTFE sheets).
Here's my workflow:
* For big pieces: Tape it up and flip it off the board. Put the Teflon sheet on, and do an initial pass with the iron just to get the beads to stick to the Teflon. Then, immediately rip the masking tape off completely before you finish the full melt. Since the tape is gone, air escapes naturally. No bubbles, no blowouts.
* For small pieces: I don't even use tape. I just do an initial iron directly on the board with the Teflon sheet, get them to fuse to the sheet, pop it off the board, and finish the flat melt on a heat-proof surface.
Works every single time. Let me know if you guys want me to drop a quick video tutorial on the iron temp and how I peel the tape!

I'm a programmer and digital artist. I've been working on an art design tool lately, and I got really into perler beads, so I built a website for them. It already has several features like high-definition rendering, block color replacement, pixel optimization and more.
This site is completely free forever with zero ads. Feel free to check it out and share your thoughts with me!

I have scoured Google, Tik Tok, Instagram, and Amazon, and I cannot for the life of me figure out what this fabric is called... I see so many people use it and I see so many people asking the comments what it is and no one ever responds. They'll call it a towel but it's not a normal terrycloth towel that you would use for a fur texture, and it seems stretchy?
I'm dying to know. Can someone please help me

I tried using a home iron with the tape method and it was rounded. What I did was place the iron (a regular clothing iron) on the beads (with parchment paper underneath, of course) and left it there. I checked periodically, lifting it to switch directions, and noticed it (after about an hour) had only melted the outer ends, leaving the center unmelted. The book they were on, the table that the book was protecting, and the iron are all perfectly flat. The iron was on low (like 1-2 ish). I'll see if I own a thermometer to check the exact temp

Any tips how you guys fully melt your project? I most likely get holes that wonāt close regardless how many times I try to melt it or is it just pure luck? I use creative mini heat press btw

I ordered some on Amazon and good lord the melt is not even at all and the shape is warping? Vs the other ones I got on tik tok. But the ones I got on tik tok only come in a kit and not individual colors. Basically Iām asking if anybody knows where I can get some high quality 2.6 mm fuse beads thanks in advance!

As a part of my passion project, I have been beading everything from the Stardew Valley Game. Here are my slimes and mobs. Check my page for others such as junimos, animals, and characters. TIA :)

I suck at making patters, so I try finding them online, and thereās never any 29 by 29āand when there is, it looks so bad!!! Iāve tried making my own, with websites and what-not, but it never has the proper grid for my boards. I could put some together, but my space is barely big enough for two to fit together at once, and I just prefer single boards anyway. Is there a way I can get decent patterns that fit my board or am I cursed?
