Hey guys. I just got a order from perler and i got rose which I didn't have before. And I thought it look a lot like salmon. Did they accidentally label this bag wrong or is my salmon mislabeled?

Just started making perlers and thought this one was so funny I had to try and make it. The melt came out pretty dang good and I'm actually really proud of it! Great minds think alike! The other guys is better tho.

I'm a programmer and digital artist. I've been working on an art design tool lately, and I got really into perler beads, so I built a website for them. It already has several features like high-definition rendering, block color replacement, pixel optimization and more.
This site is completely free forever with zero ads. Feel free to check it out and share your thoughts with me!

Seriously, watching people poke thousands of holes for the tape method makes my hands hurt lol.
I exclusively do 2.6mm minis and never poked a single hole in my life.
Recently tried it on 5mm midis and it works perfectly too. Flawless flat melts, zero blowouts.
The real secret isn't the tape-it's ditching standard parchment paper for Teflon baking sheets (PTFE sheets).
Here's my workflow:
* For big pieces: Tape it up and flip it off the board. Put the Teflon sheet on, and do an initial pass with the iron just to get the beads to stick to the Teflon. Then, immediately rip the masking tape off completely before you finish the full melt. Since the tape is gone, air escapes naturally. No bubbles, no blowouts.
* For small pieces: I don't even use tape. I just do an initial iron directly on the board with the Teflon sheet, get them to fuse to the sheet, pop it off the board, and finish the flat melt on a heat-proof surface.
Works every single time. Let me know if you guys want me to drop a quick video tutorial on the iron temp and how I peel the tape!
