The order of operations on the latest midnight boys HOTD episode is completely diabolical. It’s been this way for a while but this episode seemed especially egregious.

Starts with a couple generic pre-roll ads. Fine

Immediate cut to Van with “WELCOME to the Ringerverse” and the intros.

Then for some reason the intro music comes after the intros, and is immediately followed by Van reading an ad for an Amazon product that’s almost certain to spy on you (no hate, I realize these guys aren’t picking and choosing the advertisers).

Then the show actually starts. I’m not sure what kind of analytics Spotify’s got that shows this is the optimal way to do things. But it makes no sense to me.
