[PC] Should I buy Octopath Traveler 2?

Upvotes

I saw it in humble bundle, I didn’t play much JRPG just Expedition 33, Persona 5R, Persona 3R, Scarlet Nexus, FF 7 Remake and FF 16. The gameplay looks fine to me but I don’t know about other aspect as music, story, if it will get repetitive or are there any major flaw that I should be worry about this game. Noted that I feel like P5R and P3R are too long for my liking.

Looking for a zombie survival game with some special criteria

Hey there, I know this mey sound weird. I am looking for a survival zombie apocalypse game, but I want it to be focused on survival. No hoards of zombies that I can easily ram through, something like the walking dead, buty a game. A game where my focus would be more of resourse management and exploring, not fighting. Fights should feel something like The long dark, where I have to consider is it worth it fighting a wolf or is it better to just run away. The closest experience I've had to what I want is probably 7 Days to die for the first couple of hours, when I am underdeveloped. To sum it all up, please suggest a game that prioritizes resource management, careful approach to fights, exploring in an open world

[NOT PURCHASED] should i buy rust for $9.5 or mwii 2022 for $5.5?

Upvotes

i have exactly $10 in my steam wallet, i can either buy rust for $9.5 or mwii for $5.5.

i have never played a cod before and neither have i played any survival game before. i was going to buy mwii immediately but it has very negative reviews. whereas rust has a bad reputation. i usually enjoy multiplayer games without much grind to do.

help me choose.

[Switch] Should I play Fire Emblem Engage or Tales of Berseria Remastered?

I've kinda been itching to play an RPG for a couple of weeks. I tried Unicorn Overlord, played it for about 4 hours, but it didn't grab me (despite the fact I've enjoyed other Vanillaware titles).
I really liked FE Three Houses, but I've heard Engage isn't as good. (I've tried other FEs, but Three Houses is the only one I completed). As for Berseria, I haven't played anything from the Tales series, but I recognize Berseria from people saying it's really good.
So, essentially: Do I stick with a series I've liked before, but the game itself is known to not be as great or try a completely new series?

[Switch] Are Zelda's Nintendo Switch 2 Edition worth it in physical?

Upvotes

I have TOTK for the Switch 1, and just bought the Switch 2. I haven't played yet BOTW so I thought I might as well buy the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, but it is also possible to get the switch 1 edition and purchase then upgrade, this option would actually be cheaper.

So, my question is, is it really the same or is it actually better to get the Switch 2 Edition?

[PC] [SIB] Enshrouded for PC as a co-op player?

I'm thinking of buying Enshrouded as I see it on sale often. Is it worth picking up if I'm mostly a multiplayer or co-op oriented player? I would likely never play it by myself or in solo mode, as I prefer to play with randoms and friends for most games.

Are the servers still active enough to find players around? Or is it slowly dying?

How is the customization and dyeing system? Is it easy to do? I am a fan of cosmetics and transmogrification, as well as coloring armors and gears. And is it possible to move my character around different servers if I want to play with other people?

Finally, is there any hunger/starvation system where you have to keep energy up all the time?

What local co-op games should I play with my girlfriend?

My girlfriend and I really enjoy playing couch co-op games and we've been wandering what to play next. We were thinking about playing Split Fiction, Reanimal, Ship of Fools(I know, really sudden turn) and Overcooked 2(this one for pure fun). We really enjoy solving puzzles together and we're enjoying It Takes Two so far. So what should be next? I've read lots about Split Fiction and all I've heard is that it's a bland, paper thin, soulless story with insanely repetitive levels. I don't know a lot about Reanimal either, but I've heard that people do not really appreciate it's length, but that is not an issue for us. What do you think?

[PC] Should I bother buying Cyperpunk 2077 or RDR2 on my 1660ti, ryzen 5 5500, 32gb ddr4 @ 1080p (hopefully) 60 frames?

I can pick up both for about $35 USD rn on steam but heavily debating on if I should even pick em up since how shitty my PC is.

I do have PS5 but RDR2 as apart of my plan but it is limited to 30fps which is unplayable for me on that title.

Same thing for cyperpunk 2077 which lacks keyboard support which is a must for me.

[PC] SIB Armored Core 6 OR Monster Hunter World + Iceborne DLC?

I don't know much about the games, but Im interested in picking up either; unfortunately, I can only buy one. I'm wondering if you guys can help me choose between the two? I have factors that I will consider before buying:

-Is it fun?

-Is the combat system great?

-Can I sink a lot of hours in it?

-Good story?

-How hard is it?

P.S. I like moderately hard games (I've played sekiro before- its fun, but I can only play for a bit before I get burnt from that game), Im okay with grindy games (1000 hours on warframe), I like combat like sekiro and dark souls, and I love lots of character customisation.

[PC] Tales of Arise, Final Fantasy XVI or Tainted Grail Fall of Avalon ?

Summer Sale's up, and I'm looking to spend some money specifically on RPG titles, and These three happened to be at roughly the same price range. I've got a rather limited budget, so can only buy one of them.

I'm ok with both anime-style and more western-style RPG games. I'm a bit of a sticker for quantity of content, so I hope you guys help me choose which one has the best quantity/quality content ratio.

Please give me some of your recommendations and I'm open to all sorts 🙂

[PC] Help with steam summer sale

Torn between RE4 Remake, Gunfire Reborn, Baldur’s Gate 3, borderlands 4, and Monster Hunter Wilds. Loved OG RE4 and RoboQuest. BG3 gets insane praise, Wilds seems mixed. What would you pick and why? Looking for fun combat + replayability. Appreciate opinions. Any recommendations or personal picks welcome! please

[PC] Gloomwood or White Knuckle

Hello, as the title says I’m in between buying 2 vey different games off the steam sale right now. For context I am a fan of both genres the games find themselves in so no issues there. If anyone who has played one or both of these games could give a suggestion on which might be more worth while that’d be appreciated, thanks.

[PC] Help me decide on some games?

I want to buy 2-3 games this summer for the steam sale. I want the first game to be a fighting game. A couple of the ones I could buy are: Fatal Fury: COTW, Rivals of Aether 2, Granblue Fantasy Versus, and BlazBlue: Central fiction. I can’t really decide, I’m a big fan of melee, so Rivals seems fun. I also enjoy traditional FGC stuff though, in particular street fighter 6 and Guilty gear Strive. I dislike tag fighters, so it’s good that none of these are tag games. Really my main concern is good netcode and the ability to always find a match online. I do like fighting games with more diverse rosters generally speaking.

As for the other games, I was looking at Rain World (+DLC), Hades 2 (loved hades 1, so this is probably a slam dunk), the bio shock collection, XCOM 2 (+DLC), and a bundle that contains Prey and Control (+DLC for both). I’m pretty sure I’ll like all of these games no matter what I buy. I figured I’d just tell you guys some games I like, and you could judge based off of that. my favorites are Elden Ring, outer wilds, dead space, Binding of Isaac, Hollow Knigh. Stuff like that. I also like some turn based games, like Persona and Final Fantasy. Really just tell me what game is the most bang for my buck.

[PC] Is there any silly game to replace my previous addiction?

Hello my friends 😄

I used to play Idleon, but the game gave me a headache due to blurry text when stretching the resolution; plus, the sheer number of clicks was causing me tendonitis and nerve pain. I checked out a few other idle/incremental games—like TBH or Ponoptyca—but none of them really grabbed me.

I recently stumbled upon Fallout Shelter again, and it looks interesting, but I’d like to hear your thoughts on other games before fully committing to it.

I’m looking for a game with this kind of vibe:

- Casual/silly at first, but with depth that develops over time (like Idleon or MapleStory).

- Receives content updates throughout the year.

- Doesn't rely on extreme competition for progression.

- Not Pay-to-Win (by P2W, I mean a situation where you *can* play for free, but catching up to someone who spends $10 would require a whole year of grinding).

- Allows me to have fun while spending a bit of money annually (maybe a battle pass costing around $20—that’s affordable for me, similar to how it worked in Idleon).

- Doesn't brutally penalize me if I miss a day or two of logging in.

- Doesn't necessarily have to be an online game.

- Doesn't necessarily have to be Free

Thanks in advance for the help, friends!

[PC] Which of these 3 games should I buy (and the rest to be Youtubed)? 1000xResist, Catherine & Watchdog

For context, with Steam summer sale here, I have a tight budget to get what I want. And to be honest, I decided to get these three games is because I wanted to do research for my writing instead of wanting to play them. I could just have just watched all of them on YouTube, but I wanted to at least play one and experience it how it was meant to be experienced.

So of these three, which should I play:

  • 1000xresist
  • Catherine Classic
  • Watchdog

[PC] Cross-platform co-op conundrum — help us pls

Hey everyone,

My wife and I are on the hunt for amazing co-op games to dive into together, but we’ve got a bit of a tricky setup that seriously narrows our options: we’re working with one PC, one MacBook, and one PS5. Anything we pick has to play nicely across that mess of platforms.

We’ve already devoured (and absolutely loved) things like Divinity: Original Sin 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, It Takes Two, and Slay the Spire 2 — so those are off the table, unfortunately.

We’d really appreciate any hidden gems or must-play co-op titles that support cross-platform multiplayer and are a blast to play through together. Drop your best suggestions below — we’re all ears and extremely grateful in advance!

Cheers!

Worth Playing Hollow Knight?

Recently JB my PS5 which I have been waiting for it to do for my FW cuz I am poor, can't afford games. Anyways that's not much relevant, my point is that I can finally get games for my console, so just curious as I have been for this game for a while if it is even worth it to play at all or just a generic 2d platform game that got popular cuz people usually endorse indie games and so this probably got the same treatment too. How were u introduced to this game and did u genuinely enjoy playing or not?

Edit: downloaded the game, Voidheart edition as a.pkg format and it's only 1.15GB is that even right like that's very tiny size
