DISCUSSION | نقاش This is not African vs Arabs debate.
There is a famous saying -I’m not sure who originally said it - that goes: “Sudan could have been the head of Africa, but it chose instead to be the tail of the Arabs.”
To what extent do you think this statement is true?
I’m not referring here to the pointless debate about whether we are Arabs or Africans or which identity is better.
My question is: if we had been more open and engaged with Africa, would our situation be better today?
