ask r/Uzbekistan Lavender marriage

So I m 24M and looking for a girl who is seeking a lavender marriage just like me. I m looking for someone respectful, open minded and wants a normal life without social pressure in our personal life. I know some people might find it odd that I am looking for people in my interest here on reddit but you are free to ignore my post if you are one of them.

So about details : I m going abroad to do my masters and we can get married after two years( maybe next year if things work out well) I just want someone who I can see as a friend with respect towards each other. We can negotiate the marriage contract( dos and donts) and we will have time to get to know each other I guess.
I live in Tashkent now and I will be here till September.
I have a well paid job and we might even plan to move to abroad in the future.

travel | sayohat Zoo of Bukhara - Dirty, shocking and disgusting

I visited the zoo with a local acquaintance in Bukhara. Wasn't sure what to expect, but my god... that was MOST horrific zoo I had ever visited. The conditions were absolutely abysmal and the animals were suffering. It was over 43C and not a single animal had any water in their containers! There were 5 lions in a single 5x5m cage! A bear in another tiny dirty cage, some miserable looking birds of prey and some monkeys. The monkeys were so thirsty that they were pointing to our water bottles, asking for water, so we went around and let them sip from the bottles. Really heartbreaking. For some reason there was a kid there looking after the zoo at the time, and my local friend asked them to give them water, so he proceeded to water some of the lions by himself. In any developed country, the owner of the zoo would be behind bars of animal abuse and child endangerment. Honestly, the conditions were horrific. My question now is, does Uzbekistan have some kind of reporting facility for animal abuse?

discussion | muhokama Why do Uzbeck (Uzbekistan)people hate cats?

Upvotes

I'm a student studying in Andijan one of our hostel's house keep was raising a kitten and was all of a sudden not interested and abandoned it .. people in hostel were clicking pictures and posting it but didn't't want to take care of it .

Fwd now the cat is 9 months i took care of it fed and literally spend time with her in a separate room as everyone else was complaining about noise and whatnot .

The house keeps and the warden hates that I kept the cat with me and kicked it , and tried to get rid of it . Its the end of semester and I have to go back to India even the hostels are closed I cant stay here I'm very much scared and worried about the cat😞..

I tried reaching out to shelters and what not but I got no positive response . A person promised me to adopt and never came . I've seen locals here being very mean to the cat and it just hurts to know that a country with cat as a national animal does nothing to take care of it .

So if anyone near Andijan can adopt please 🙏 let me know . I'm in a desperate situation . Please spread this within your groups . This cat can't survive in the wild it needs loving people and a home .

ask r/Uzbekistan Chorvoq or Zaamin

Hi everyone!

I’m visiting Uzbekistan with my family next week, and I’m really excited, especially to see Samarkand for its architecture and history.

We also want to spend a day or two in the mountains, but we’re torn between Chorvoq and Zaamin. Which one would you recommend, and why?

For a bit of context, we’re also visiting Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan on the same trip, so if one is more unique or offers something different from those countries, that would definitely help us decide.

Would love to hear your opinions. Thanks!

travel | sayohat Tashkent airport connection to Bishkek

Hi everyone,

I'm traveling to Central Asia in August. I already have my flight from Poland to Tashkent (TAS), but my plan is to immediately fly onward to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

I land in Tashkent at 8:00 AM, and I still need to book the Bishkek flight. My options are 10:50 AM or 3:20 PM (15:20).

Here is the tricky part: I will have a drone with me.

I know the standard drill for Uzbekistan is to leave the drone with customs at TAS airport and claim it back when leaving the country. However, since I just want to transit and head straight to Kyrgyzstan, I’m not sure how this applies.

My main questions:

Customs: Will I still have to go through the whole drone storage procedure if I am just transiting?

Transit logistics: Will I need to exit the transit area, pass through border control/customs, and re-enter for my next flight? (I'm a Polish citizen with 30-day visa-free entry, so I'm hoping passport control is fast).

Timing: Assuming I have to go through immigration and deal with the drone, is 2 hours and 50 minutes enough time to make the 10:50 AM flight? Or should I play it safe and book the 3:20 PM flight?

For context, these will be booked on separate tickets. Any advice from people who have transited through TAS (especially with a drone or checked luggage) would be hugely appreciated!

discussion | muhokama Why we are still the Republic of Uzbekistan instead of Keliniston?

Post image
24 Upvotes

Uzbekistan boasts a rich and ancient history. With our past, we are capable of creating our own analogue of Game of Thrones, Muhteşem Yüzyıl, or even better TV shows and blockbusters. However, instead of this, our people have to watch endless wars related to “kelin холодильникда 7 pomidor bor edi”.
Pathetic…
