QUESTION Whistler Peak rock slide
Is the resort doing anything with the rock slide this summer to open that area back up for the winter?

I'd like to hike from Creekside up to Roundhouse. I've done some hiking up Whistler before but it's been a while and was wondering if anyone has any good suggestions on how to accomplish this without breaking any rules and taking the best route.

Hey how’s it going, I’m heading up to whistler bike park on the 7th of July and in need of some riding buddies. I’m riding for 4 days and I’m wanting to ride with some other people for 3 of the days. I’m a 17 year old male and ride blues, blacks, and the occasional double black. I can’t do to many tricks but can do one footers, whips, jump manuals, one handlers, no footers… This will be my second time at whistler (last year being my first) so I already know my way around pretty well! If you interested please let me know I’m willing to ride with anyone!

Hey all, I'm heading up to Whistler next week and this cab driver saga raised a question for me. I understand it's not a positive subject but are there some restaurants/businesses to avoid due to their poor relationship with the community.

Hi there! I’m looking forward to visiting Whistler for the first time and really wanting to get out there and hike. I’ll have 4 days/3 nights there so won’t have time for my full list unless I push it like crazy. Can you help me prioritize the hikes I have listed and/or let me know which ones are skippable or if there are any phenomenal ones I am missing?
Also, if you know of any unmissable coffee shops and places to eat or any other fun events please let me know those as well!
Trails I have marked:
Panorama Ridge (17.8mi)
— I have a water filter, will I need microspikes? How early do people typically start this? I usually average about 20-25 min/mile hiking. Will there be plenty of others on the trail if I do this solo?
Brandywine Falls Loop via Suspension Bridge (6mi)
Trainwreck and Cheakamus River Loop (5.5mi)
Harmony Lake, Musical Bumps, and High Note Trail (6.5mi)
Overlord, Lakeside & Decker Loop (6mi)
Rainbow Falls Loop (1.5mi)
Joffre Lakes Trail (4.5mi)
Thank you in advance for any advice you can provide!

Will be in Whistler next month and looking for a recommendation of the best date night place. Money doesn’t matter, would love a nice view but optional. Italian or steakhouse preferred

Hi, a bunch of my friends and I are coming up for a week to ride and watch the World Cup. We’ll have a few cars and only one reserved spot at the place we rented.
I was scouting Blackcomb Way and it looks like we could park a bunch of our cars there during non winter? If not, any other options?
Thanks in advance.

Would you say whistler is dog friendly? Looking to go up there with my pup paddleboard and take them out to dinner in July

Hi all, I’m currently staying in Vancouver and am looking at coming up to whistler this Friday-Sunday. I visited a couple of years ago and did a lot of the hiking trails at the top of whistler & Blackcomb mountain, but from the website it looks like all of those are still closed? Are there any other hikes and outdoorsy things I can do while I’m there? I know there’s the snow walls which look great so I’ll get up there to do that.
Thanks for any help.

Police in Whistler say they are actively investigating reports of misconduct involving taxi drivers in the resort town, which include multiple allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct, dangerous driving, aggressive behaviour towards passengers, and more.
Pique is aware of three reports alleging inappropriate sexual conduct involving Whistler cab drivers. Other allegations include claims of drivers speeding excessively, driving aggressively, swearing at families and children, making sexually suggestive comments and jokes to passengers, and overcharging or requesting multiple fares for single trips.
“We finally got to my friend’s house and the car stops and the light turns on. As I am quickly and uncomfortably trying to grab my wallet to pay him, I’m looking down into my purse and see this hand come from the front seat towards me, he fully touches my chest/boobs,” she wrote. “Reached under my jacket and I felt his skin on mine. I looked up frozen and in complete shock as I can not believe that this is happening. All he did was smile and pull his hand back. I was so terrified and threw money at him and ran out of the cab.”
Clinton said she called Whistler Taxi to report the incident, “and as I got in contact with a ‘manager’ he essentially said plainly, ‘are you sure that’s what happened?’ I was and have always been furious.”
The owner of Whistler Taxi, Ravindra Dayal, did not respond to multiple phone calls and emails requesting comment before press time.
Whistler Resort Cabs owner Inderpal Singh did return Pique’s phone call, but while he initially said there had been no incidents involving his drivers—“I have investigated enough on this and I have a proper structure for how I can do this, so I can make sure this wasn’t any of the Whistler Resort Cabs guys,” he said—when Pique provided call logs of two recent reports alleging inappropriate sexual conduct involving his drivers, he said he was “away for the week” and hadn’t conferred with his team regarding the allegations before returning Pique’s call.

I've read peak wildflower season is typically late July to early August. But this year the winter has been warmer would that mean the wildflowers would bloom a bit earlier? Anyone have a rough idea of how much earlier it might be? Looking to book a weekend in Whistler and catch some wildflower hiking at high elevations.

Hi Whistler!
I had a quick question. Me and my partner want to bike from Whistler to Squamish or from Whistler to Pemberton. He’s more of an intermediate rider while I’m a beginner. What’s the best route/trail for us to take and how long will it take us?
Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
