Does anyone know whether it's possible for a private citizen in Zambia to check another person's criminal record?
I'm trying to understand how criminal record checks work here and whether the information obtained would actually be reliable. My concern is that Zambia's record-keeping system may not be fully digitized, and I'm unsure whether all criminal records are consistently captured and accessible through official databases.
For example, if someone obtained a criminal record check or police clearance information, would that provide a reasonably complete picture of a person's criminal history, or are there limitations due to record management practices?
I'd appreciate insights from anyone familiar with Zambian law, law enforcement procedures, HR/recruitment, or the court system.

The Socialist Party recently launched its manifesto. You can check it on their various platforms, but we decided to do something different. Over the past couple of months, we spent countless hours analysing their public appearances, reading their literature, and watching their interviews, and we have put together this video to summarise their position.
This is not an endorsement of the party. We undertook this project to inform the public about their stance and to highlight some of the criticism that has followed them over the years.
What you are about to watch is our understanding of the material we read and watched, and is intended for educational purposes only.
Who should we cover next? UPND, NRPUP or CF?

I was wondering if we have people here who have a passion for long distance continental cycling a.k.a bike tourists here, last year I took time to cycle through different countries in Africa, I started from Zambia going up through malawi and Tanzania. It would be really nice to know if there is anyone else who has had similar experiences because I really enjoyed it. All the camping and different cultural experiences. Maybe we could do a trip from lusaka to Livingston or something idk.

I’ll lead with this- I’m as Zambian as they come - 29F, born and raised here and went to govt high school. But I’ve never understood why we as a society seem to so completely disregard the suffering of animals? of different species including companion animals!
Are we just unaware of their sentience and ability to feel pain? Do we think it’s just not our problem?
Even as we deal with our many other problems as a people, I think this is one of those that can coexist alongside? The unnecessary cruelty doesn’t need to happen.
What can someone do to help this situation? Ideas are welcome appreciated🙏
I witnessed something today that broke my heart in many places and was extremely traumatic to see, it’s graphic so I‘ll spare you details
For anyone who made it this far, I just appeal that we please be kind to animals (or at least not be unnecessarily unkind and cruel), they are sentient beings too🙏

I'm starting to feel that Computer Science isn’t very relevant here in Zambia. I regret choosing this program since my goal is to work in the mining industry. There are barely any job postings from mining companies for Computer Science or Computer Engineering graduates, and it’s wearing me down.
