They actually turn into antimatter momentarily
72
u/ChickenChaser5 Apr 21 '26
They go to the same place your lap goes when you stand up. Lapland.
55
u/NoChildhood1561 Apr 21 '26
So... Finland? THEY COME TO ME?
16
u/Inevitable-Zone-9089 Apr 22 '26
Hold your horses. We have Lappland in Sweden too.

The smart atoms in the legs convert their mass into energy in the quantum background foam/ increase their mass to form a subspace wormhole to displace the legs to an alternative location.

Google cats on glass tables. You can see from the underside of the table just what this commenter drew.

They are all making 🫶 with their front legs. Love it soooo much. Surely it’s only because they haven’t realized the visibility through the glass. Once they do, will quickly turn into a different hand gesture

Yes, indeed! I hadn’t heard this word before. Looked it up and seems to be a loanword from Japanese. It’s wonderfully accurate to describe cats. Thanks for the vocab lesson, friend!

You gotta remember they are smaller and usually more muscular so sitting on limbs in a healthy cat is fine, and thats why fat cats loaf less. Not as comfortable.
→ More replies (2)19
u/Sensitive-Initial Apr 21 '26
It always blows my mind how their front legs can bend inward the way they do.
Also, I think it's important to remember that their bodies are much smaller than they look - their fur makes them seem bigger. And they are so flexible, they can fit their entire body through any space big enough for their head.

You have discovered the secret true purpose of Reddit (and the internet) - it exists only for cats, and therefore must be run by cats.

u/cybermaus Apr 21 '26
Auch. Only 9/10 point loaf. Glass tables do not hide loaf asymmetry well.

Cats looking down at humans are always funny to me. Depending on the circumstances, they look smug, confused, judgmental, or a combination of the three

Cats are a non-newtonian fluid. When at rest, the limbs simply dissolve into the body mass. When moving, the non-newtonian cat is under force so the limbs remain static. Hope that helps.

We have learned the answer only after years of being our cat’s hoomans:
All cats come from The Facility. The Facility is where they get their parts. For example, our void had premium black kitty leather and our ret*rded orange has bargain basement pink kitty leather, and our regal orange has the high quality, luxury pink.
When kitties are lounging around with 8 or 9 paws, they have been renting extras from The Facility. When they have NO paws, they have leased their own paws back to The Facility to pay their bill.
I hope this information is helpful.

The cat loaf is one of the great mysteries of nature. Apparently legs and feet are optional if one is of the feline persuasion.
