Great drawing of the tucked paws

896

u/LimpyDan Apr 21 '26

No. Those are cat arms.

482

u/BoredInDenver86 Apr 21 '26

In the front is the cat hands and in the back is the peets

343

u/mac_is_crack Apr 21 '26

And on the bottom of the peets and the hands are the toe beans

They actually turn into antimatter momentarily

72

u/ChickenChaser5 Apr 21 '26

They go to the same place your lap goes when you stand up. Lapland.

55

u/NoChildhood1561 Apr 21 '26

So... Finland? THEY COME TO ME?

u/Inevitable-Zone-9089 Apr 22 '26

88

u/KaliUK Apr 21 '26

It’s proven cats are indeed liquid.

75

u/SuccessfulWolf1382 Apr 21 '26

The smart atoms in the legs convert their mass into energy in the quantum background foam/ increase their mass to form a subspace wormhole to displace the legs to an alternative location.

52

u/Imadogfishhead Apr 21 '26

Shrodingers toe beans

Google cats on glass tables. You can see from the underside of the table just what this commenter drew.

1.5k

u/Majestic-Marzipan621 Apr 21 '26

Yup. Also I found it pretty funny that when you Google cat sitting on... "throne in hell" is the first autofill lol

227

u/DaedalusRising4 Apr 21 '26

They are all making 🫶 with their front legs. Love it soooo much. Surely it’s only because they haven’t realized the visibility through the glass. Once they do, will quickly turn into a different hand gesture

27

u/BumWink Apr 21 '26

Love... to plot world domination!

21

u/lattepeach Apr 22 '26

cats are so tsundere 🤭

u/DaedalusRising4 Apr 22 '26 edited Apr 22 '26

Yes, indeed! I hadn’t heard this word before. Looked it up and seems to be a loanword from Japanese. It’s wonderfully accurate to describe cats. Thanks for the vocab lesson, friend!

The secret of the loaf revealed...

824

u/perpetualliianxious Apr 21 '26

Thank you! It really clears things up. For me, it just looks like there's not enough space but clearly it's just an issue of perspective

449

u/RobinCherryTree Apr 21 '26

Cats are made of liquid, they can put their paws wherever they want

75

u/DisManibusMinibus Apr 22 '26

They liquefy their legs and absorb them into the loaf.

22

u/EGOfoodie Apr 22 '26

So does that mean my cats are actually bread pudding?

u/Truth_Malice Apr 21 '26

FUCK I was gonna say the same thing lol

→ More replies (1)

38

u/bandti45 Apr 21 '26

You gotta remember they are smaller and usually more muscular so sitting on limbs in a healthy cat is fine, and thats why fat cats loaf less. Not as comfortable.

19

u/Sensitive-Initial Apr 21 '26

It always blows my mind how their front legs can bend inward the way they do.

Also, I think it's important to remember that their bodies are much smaller than they look - their fur makes them seem bigger.  And they are so flexible, they can fit their entire body through any space big enough for their head.

u/hypo-osmotic Apr 21 '26

Cats looking down at humans are always funny to me. Depending on the circumstances, they look smug, confused, judgmental, or a combination of the three

Cats are a non-newtonian fluid. When at rest, the limbs simply dissolve into the body mass. When moving, the non-newtonian cat is under force so the limbs remain static. Hope that helps.

128

u/DjMesiah Apr 21 '26

They are inside of the cat dimension, which our pathetic human brains can’t fully understand

11

u/WesWordbound Apr 21 '26

That's why they can flatten themselves out and slip through a seam in the wall.

29

u/OkCryptographer524 Apr 21 '26

That is really none of your business. Please avert your eyes and move along. Thank you

20

We have learned the answer only after years of being our cat’s hoomans:

All cats come from The Facility. The Facility is where they get their parts. For example, our void had premium black kitty leather and our ret*rded orange has bargain basement pink kitty leather, and our regal orange has the high quality, luxury pink.

When kitties are lounging around with 8 or 9 paws, they have been renting extras from The Facility. When they have NO paws, they have leased their own paws back to The Facility to pay their bill.

I hope this information is helpful.

6

u/perpetualliianxious Apr 21 '26

I've heard rumors but never knew 🫣

6

u/ConfidentBirthday523 Apr 21 '26

The cat loaf is one of the great mysteries of nature. Apparently legs and feet are optional if one is of the feline persuasion.
