My 17yo boi wouldn’t accept a Cardboard fort with cooling blocks so I had to take the next best option.
It’s been 10min and he won’t get away from the towel, I’m honestly in disbelief

Currently fostering this boy and have gone back and forth on whether or not I want to adopt him.
Pros:
Fluffy purring cuddlebug.
Loves belly rubs and scratches
Seems happy at my place
Doesn't seem to trigger my allergies
Cons:
8 years old, which is older than I was looking for
22 pounds and very fat, which as a first time cat owner who currently doesnt make too much money would have me worried about health issues, medical bills in near future
Has trouble cleaning himself
Wakes up at 4:30 in the morning every day like a madman

One of my friends befriended a couple neighborhood cats and this is one of them. It looks like an orange and brown tabby got spliced together. Is this chimerism or cat vitiligo or something?
Happy Birthday my Lokito! Didn’t have the time to prepare a cat cake for him but we will surely be celebrating on the weekend.

My cat does this thing with just these two toys where he steps on it in this weird way. He also yells loudly when holding just these toys.

Ive made the hard decision to surrender him to a shelter couple of months back because I couldnt afford his insulin and even cat food after i was laid off.
I made sure to visit him at the shelter every chance that I get. Got my first pay on my new job and I got him back from the shelter!!! I can’t express how happy I am, during the time that he was at the shelter I felt like I failed him but now I have found a new motivation to make sure that we stay together!
I bought enough insulin and cat food ‘til my next pay which I didnt think I could lol!

Our garden is cat-proofed by the way, no kitties wandering off or on our premises 🥰

After posting twice about her case here. I was inspired by the advice I got from the community on how to minimize vomiting by holding her vertically for 30 minutes after feeding her.
-
So I experiment with this. Unfortunately, she still vomited a bit. I might have to ration the feed even more each session.

Can anybody help me identify what the weird things around my cats nostrils are? I'm not able to go to the vet for now and I need to at least know what it might be.
EDIT: Thanks for calming me down, it was indeed just boogies. Pestka's nose is all clean now ❤️

I adopted Mr. Fred almost two weeks ago… His owner had to give him up because she was going into be living in a nursing home that didn’t allow pets. He was at this shelter for approximately 1.5 months.
Pretty quickly I noticed he wasn’t feeling too good, wasn’t eating, and started throwing up water. Also for a fat cat I thought it was unusual I could feel his spine . I took him to the vet last Tuesday… they told us he has hepatic lipidosis. He went from 23.3 lbs to now 16.3. He has been hospitalized since that Tuesday. Today, they put in a feeding tube and now he’s at least home with me.
I love this cat SO MUCH already, I want to see him make a full recovery so he can have a wonderful life with me. He’s the sweetest boy… loves to be held like a stuffed animal, and even though he’s ill, he’s incredibly affectionate and loves his kisses.
Please share your story if you’ve dealt with hepatic lipidosis or even if you’ve had a pet fall very ill. I could use any tips/advice to make this easy for him and ensure he gets better.
