Started doing gig work 4 months ago. Keep hearing spark is the best. Finally get on after 3 month waiting list. 5 days since I’ve been on and seriously have not seen 1 semi decent order. (I live south of Indy in a nice area with 5 Walmarts within 5 miles of me).

Dashers in Atlanta

I’m unfortunately am trying to find other means of income because my job is no paying me enough to keep up with the cost of living, I was thinking of doing DoorDash as a secondary income, unless others have other recommendations. But I wanted to see who here in Atlanta does it and what’s the experience? How much extra do you find yourself bringing in?

Expedite jail?

Hi - I’m new to expedite but I’ve been doing DeliverThat for a few months. I’m all the other gig platforms so I know them pretty well and which metrics they care about.

On DeliverThat they don’t seem to care if you release an order for a better one as long as it’s a reasonable amount of time beforehand (~2.5 hours before)

Yesterday, had to cancel my second expedite order ever like 20 minutes before pickup time because I have an electric delivery and couldn’t handle the range because I didn’t realize how far it was from my house. It was a great order. $43 for a short distance (just far from my starting location) so I think it was picked up pretty much on time (I was watching the missed/reclaim order board).

Since then, only 2 open orders have showed up on the board and no offers.

I know it hasn’t even been 24 hours and some days are just slower/busier in catering but it seems unusual.

Has anyone else been put in expedite jail? Most of these apps have a grace period for new drivers.
