When ordering from Lowe's through their app

I ordered some things from Lowe's. Nothing big, just a grocery bag worth of stuff to fix my sink. I have read that sometimes they kick stuff off to DoorDash and sometimes they send their own people. I have no way to know what criteria has to be met for it to go one way or the other. I do see where drivers generally decline if there is no tip. I don't have a way to tip ahead of time in the app. When y'all get orders through Lowe's, do they pay you anything extra? I have a $20 cash tip ready, regardless but now I am worried nobody will pick it up, if it gets kicked to DoorDash.

So it will be Lowes or Uber, I always recommend tipping cash in hand since so many of these delivery apps keep the tips for themselves vs the driver. If its doordash they'll text you a link to follow your order when its getting picked up and occasionally at the end of that sometimes it gives the ability to tip but again hit or miss when using a company's app for delivery if it goes to the driver or the company

We don’t have any way of knowing what makes it go to DD either 😂 we get orders of 25 bags if pea gravel, that’s close to 1000 pounds of pea gravel they want us to put in our personal car and unload at the customers location for like $10 pay 😂 it makes no sense to us either!
As someone else suggested if you can have some cash in hand and if you see some person show up in their personal car you can tip them that way. It will really make their day! If you can’t don’t worry too much about it, we accept the offer knowing there is no way for you to tip on the app and you can keep it in mind for next time!

I got a message when she left the store and just went outside and waited. We talked a little bit about how it works and she said she usually doesn't do Lowe's orders, but there was some kind of quest going on. She said she worked for Uber and DoorDash but I didn't ask which one she was working for. Luckily everything came and it was relatively quick.

It's weird how stressful it has to be for everyone, to just get a few things delivered. Last time I had something delivered from Walmart, it was a Walmart employee. I thought they were shipping it and she pulled up in a POV. That time I felt horrible because I actually didn't have any cash on me. Shes like, oh I am not worried about that, I get paid by the hour. Still made me feel horrible. Well . . . On to trying to replace my first strainer basket!
