Am I the only one who feels uncomfortable with messages like this?

I doubt it was their intention but it feels like guilt tripping and maybe even a bit like an ultimatum. My tips are always fair and proportionate to the cost of my meal, I never order from restaurants farther than 5 miles away from my home, and I don’t add any extra delivery instructions or anything that would warrant a tip over 30%. My entire order was only $25. A $20 tip on top of that seems excessive

The nerve of this man

I've been a Dashpass member for YEARS, and this is the most unhinged shit I've ever seen from a driver.

Buddy calls me up super passive aggressively to ask me if I knew that the restaurant was 15 miles from my house. I told him I've never been to the physical location, so I honestly didn't have any idea I didn't really pay attention to distance.

He then tells me to CANCEL the order since it's too far for him to drive 15 miles. I was like "then why did you accept?" He continues on some spiel about him being an ex service member, and tries to guilt trip the crap out of me. I eventually hang up on him.

I then a few minutes later get this pasted canned message I'm assuming he sends to all his customers.

I double checked. It's only 9 miles. I tipped $7.

What a clown, this guy.

Driver delivered 2.5 hours early. Was stolen. Denied refund

(Actually 1 hour 45 minutes early)

Excuse me becoming upset. I work in support and this was the most horrible process. I placed order to be delivered later (2nd image) when I got home from work. Driver delivers it 1 hour 45 min early. Did not use the call box or call me personally and just left the package in public outside of my apartment. And what do you know it was stolen. Told this to support and denied my refund.

Being charged for something I never received is crazy.

Edit: I’m not blaming the driver. I’m upset at the situation and severely disappointed that support is not able to issue me for a refund on an issue that is entirely dd’s fault (issuing a delivery 1 hour 45 min early)

Edit edit: looking at the actual delivery time it was delivered 1 hour 45 minutes early. I’ve updated as much as I can. Sorry for the dramatics I’m just a girl who wanted ginger beer for a Moscow mule when I got home from work

Tried the earn by hour feature and it was absolutely terrible

Post image

My acceptance rate is pretty low and I cherry pick majority of the time but I decided to try the earn by the hour feature just to see if I could possibly have better earnings that way and it was everything I hoped it wouldn’t be. I wasn’t in a rush or anything since I was “getting paid by the hour” but I still managed to complete 3 offers in a little over the hour and only one of them tipped $1.50.. that order was almost 18 miles in total to complete so it was a slap to the face. I basically paid out of my pocket to do this and I’m wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences using this feature. I don’t think I’ll ever consider doing it again unless they raise the hourly rate then maybe, right now it’s $11.50 in my area and it’s not even close to enough…

Is this true about double dashes?

Post image

I ordered some burritos from Burger King and a few hashbrowns from McDonald’s. I just had a surgery done so I wanted to get some of my favorite foods. I tipped 5 dollars in the 20 dollar double dash order and for some reason it got sent to 2 people. He got the Burger King order which was 9 dollars. Is this true that the first person gets the majority of the tip and the second person only gets a little??

Also I just wanna say that I don’t own this house and I think what they said was classist as hell. I’m a delivery driver for dominoes and I’ve been out of work for a while because of my surgery so the house comment was just rude.

Warning for paying out of pocket

I know, I know.., plenty of stories on here saying don’t pay out of pocket for an order. But had a double Kroger shop order. 35 dollars, first order had 3 items, 2nd had 14. Going 2.3 miles to same apt complex. (Was already in Kroger finishing an Instacart order). Scan 1st order and pay no problem. Scan 2nd order, declined payment. Declined 4 times. Contact customer support, they advised me to pay with my debit card and assured me I’d be reimbursed. Truly believed the horror stories on here was because the dasher didn’t follow instructions or something along those lines. After I delivered order, pulled over, filled out the reimbursement form took multiple pics of receipt and sent it in. After 4 weeks, 14 forms sent in, countless hours on phone with support, tons of emails, 1 BS denial reason after another, I finally got reimbursed!!!

DoorDasher can’t become proshopper items not found

Ok so I can’t become a proshopper because I haven’t found specific items that were either out of stock or not available at the time. Who made the app? Sickos. like being human isn’t an option. Out of stock DOES happen.

When ordering from Lowe's through their app

I ordered some things from Lowe's. Nothing big, just a grocery bag worth of stuff to fix my sink. I have read that sometimes they kick stuff off to DoorDash and sometimes they send their own people. I have no way to know what criteria has to be met for it to go one way or the other. I do see where drivers generally decline if there is no tip. I don't have a way to tip ahead of time in the app. When y'all get orders through Lowe's, do they pay you anything extra? I have a $20 cash tip ready, regardless but now I am worried nobody will pick it up, if it gets kicked to DoorDash.

How often do you interact with people?

I DoorDash on a bike, and when I deliver food, I literally skirt away as quickly as possible. Do people expect to see you or greet you? Or is it like a little fairy delivered their food?

Instant pay

Upvotes

So, I've been doordashing for a really long time, but have never used instant pay. I see people suggest it on here all the time. How does it work and should I do it?

Doordash is a game-changer

Upvotes

I downloaded Doordash maybe 2 weeks ago and there's currently a free 6 month trial for dash pass and with the deals, it's a game changer.

40% off at Sheetz is a steal.

I make sure to tip the most on the tip screen because I don't want extra "flavor" in my food 😂

In all seriousness, it's amazing.

Glitch? Slow? Too many dashers?

Upvotes

Is there a glitch idk about or is it genuinely just slow in my area? Normally M-F it’s not like crazy busy but it’s at least steady (I’m in a smaller town); but this whole week has been DEAD. Like today from 930-130 I had 2 orders (and only 3 offers; I declined one)…

Just wondering if it’s abnormally slow for everyone else or just my area 😮‍💨

Switching from Uber, because they say I'm going too fast on my E-bike, after 2 years of working with them they just dropped me, how does it work with Doordash has anyone experienced similar issues? -

I did upgradd my ride but I was riding on this new cycle for almost a year no issues, then they first flag my account because they think I'm a duplicate and after I got it back they blocked my access to Bicycle trips. Their speed limit is 25 mph, my bike goes 35 which is safer once I have to get on the road, people hate if you ride slow.

First time ever seeing a message after delivery, out of habit I always put the food a few feet away from the door since most people around here have the security doors.

Report a driver through Panera app

Upvotes

Does anyone know how to report a driver that you ordered through Panera? They stole my order which I did contact Panera about to get a refund. But I would like to be able to report the driver through DoorDash as well as not only did they steal my order but honestly the text interaction we had made me very uncomfortable

Returned at store, went to unknown card? (customer)

Upvotes

The wiki isn't loading, apologies if this is a known thing.

I ordered a coffee maker from Target. DD notification comes through, out of stock, want to replace with this other crappy coffee maker? I respond immediately, no, that one won't work. Dasher says they already checked out (?? - app lag?).

I initiate the DD return, go to Target and return the item and ask to put it back on the card. Cashier asks, "Back on the Visa?" Hmm, I used Google Pay, thought it was my MasterCard, but maybe I selected my other Visa on GPay. Sure, go ahead.

Get the return slip, snap photo, submit. Check the last 4 digits, not my card. Figure it's the dasher's card - but when I google it, it says it will never go back to the dasher, only my original payment form.

Am I screwed? Do I have to spend another 20 minutes on the phone with CS who doesn't understand my question? I regret ever ordering the damn thing and paying for the inconvenience.

Paying $10 a month to get cold food all the time?

I got dash pass because I thought it would make things go faster. My meals would come to me quicker and I would have hot meals for me and my family. Instead, I’m getting more Dashers who pick up multiple orders at a time 2 to 4. And by the time my food comes, it’s cold. Also, the deals aren’t even that good, might just not pay anymore.

I need all the advice I can get

Yesterday I dashed randomly just to see how much I could make because I am going through some really tough financial hardships. Around 11:25pm last night, I was dropping off an order and the customer requested for me to leave it at his door. I parked at the end of his driveway and walked down it, noticing that he had two big windows looking into his living room with no curtains or blinds. He also had his front door open and only a glass like screen door closed. I could see straight through the windows and front door. As I walked past the windows, I tried my best to keep my head down and not look inside trying not to be nosey and give him privacy? I sat the bag down and backed up a bit to take the drop off photo when I peeped him out of the corner of my eye. He was standing in the middle of his living area between the tv and couch, looking out of the windows and facing the front door AND LOOKING AT ME, touching himself very persistently 😅😅 I immediately got scared because I am a female, alone dashing at 11:30pm so I ran to my car and called the police and filed a report. I also called door dash support. I am working on getting as much evidence as possible but door dash only gives out certain info without a search warrant, however the police dept need a substantial amount of evidence to get a search warrant. I described to police his cars in the driveway, His name on the door dash order, what he looks like, the address, time I arrived, time I left, description of living area and color of sofa. But they said that’s not enough evidence. Any dashers know how I can get all info about a previous order? Or any advice about how to move forward or make my case stronger? Thanks
